Gold Circle included VIP merch in Edinburgh or Dublin
In 2019 we paid for the VIP tickets at Wembley and the included Bon Jovi merch was cheap garbage. Saw Billy Joel the next day and his was much better. Has anyone on here bought the VIP tickets this time? If so, what did you get? I’m wondering whether it’s worth queuing up for and/or carrying it around during the show.
The Premier League in 2026
Made me laugh. Don’t know if this will be taken down given its satirical nature but it’s SO true.
New boats
Clicked on this while I wasn’t paying attention so my fault I suppose but ONE HUNDRED popcorns and I can’t send it away? They can do one. 😂😂😂
For once, no effort, no diamonds required
So this collection book autofilled for me. Hoorah, no grinding on this one at least. 😀
Tom’s been evicted
My wife is trying the new Workbench BETA out. The machine has been plonked where Tom has always slept and he’s been kicked to the other side of the road. It’s outrageous really. 😂😂😂
Is it worth buying a membership next season?
Me and my wife have been members and the only tickets I’ve managed to get at a reasonable price in the past few years have been for low demand games like the Conference League when ST holders couldn’t be bothered to take up their seat. Never managed to get to the front of the queue to buy a ticket for a league game at a reasonable cost and, honestly, a minimum of £320 for two tickets to see a league game against Burnley or similar isn’t justifiable IMO. Prior to BlueCo taking over we didn’t miss any home game in any competition in a decade. Used to be between £63-£93 per ticket for a league game and I thought that was reasonable, but they’ve reduced the number of lower price tickets to members while raising the price on most seats.
Next season there’s a new balloting system for tickets but there are fewer games without European football and, of course, home games in domestic cup competitions is 50/50 AND if we draw attractive competition rather than a League 1/2 side there will likely be no availability there either. I don’t know if the balloting system will increase or reduce the chances of getting tickets. I’m thinking it’s not worth renewing. We are ST holders for the women’s team so will still get to see those matches.
Is anyone else not going to renew their membership? Seems to me unless they do increase ground capacity by rebuild or moving things are going to worse in coming seasons.
Metadata for decos is needed
So I managed to collect four of the trees available for the Design Festival, the White Rhododendron, the Pink Tecoma, the Red Tecoma and the Magenta Bougainvillea. When I search for trees in the ever expanding inventory they don’t list as “tree” is not in the name. Happens with other items that should be locatable by type rather than name. The devs need to add metadata to objects to help locate stuff.
When will we get politicians that don’t lie/or think we are stupid?
So I’m listening to the politics show on Radio 5 with Matt Chorley. Last year at the Labour Party Conference, Andy Burnham said he hoped that the UK will rejoin the EU in his lifetime. He campaigned to remain. Now he is saying that he will not seek to rejoin the EU if he becomes PM, presumably because he is standing in a “leave” seat and needs those that voted for Reform at the council elections earlier this month to choose him as “ Honest Andy” and as a local man.
Now whatever your views on Brexit he is effectively changing his opinion, at least publicly, to persuade enough voters to get him back into Parliament. Wes Streeting, on the other hand, has announced he wants to rejoin the EU merely because he wants to put a bomb under Burnham’s campaign. They are both saying what they think will get them elected.
Starmer says he is “100%” behind Andy when Burnham is effectively running his campaign on the basis of “vote for me to get Starmer out”. Starmer will probably throw a party at Chequers if Burnham loses.
I’d suggest that all 3 of them care more about themselves and their craving for power as opposed to what’s good for the country.
When Johnson was elected it was clear that he was in it for himself and any good that happened to the country would be totally coincidental. Farage and Polanski are both economical with truth at best, liars at worst. The Lib Dems, who I voted for recently, are mostly harmless, that is to say irrelevant and ineffective, at least at national level.
So my questions are do we get the politicians we deserve and do they all think we are stupid? I think the answers are yes and yes but I’d welcome other opinions.
