Ohana Vibes

What a great vibe Ohana has at the Polynesian. We have done dinners and breakfast at Ohana. Our favorite is definitely breakfast.

Just sharing some quick video from a recent trip, 138 to go before our next family visit.

Few of my older Lanterns

Just a few pictures to share of my Lantern collection. Started restoring most with my grand father and it kinda took off from there.

Cheers all

220e Restore

Hello Fellow Coleman folks

Just recently joined and wanted to share a few of my lanterns that I have resorted and collected over the past couple years.

The blue lantern has been powder coated, it’s holding up quite well. The blue lantern vent cap holes have burnt out a bit.

Cheers all

Tiki Decor

Hello Tiki Folks

I am looking at turning a spare bathroom into a Tiki Decor room, just trying fill a 8x8 space looking possibly doing a tropical themed wall paper, fish trap style vanity lights and mirror. And a just some random vintage prints.

Anyone ever done something similar. No drinks to be served in here, just trying to keep a theme going.

Thanks all.

Great Place to Visit

Just wanted to let all you locals know what a beautiful place Pigeon Forge/ Gatlinburg. Definitely a hidden gem.

We explored all the tourist stuff, but our favorite place was the Great Smokey Mountains . We look forward to our next adventure down that way in the spring.

If anyone is on the fence about checking out this beautiful area, do it!

Cheers from 🇨🇦

Is this even debatable- Gaston’s vs Sleepyhollow

The great debate, we travel a fair amount with another family to Walt Disney World. We can never settle the debate. Half the group loves the Gaston’s Cinnamon Rolls, and the other half is Sleepy Hollow Mickey waffles ( original Mickey shape for nostalgia).

It’s always great sitting at Sleepy hollow under the shade breaking the morning up with Waffles and Cinnamon buns.

What’s the consensus say?

Is there any better way to end a day

After months of planning, spending a tonne of money, sweeting with thousands of others. And the kids are on the edge of dying from starvation even though they have had 3 fantastic meals and almost every snack from around the park.

You have basically walked the Boston Marathon with zero training all in one day!

Can we say the Magic Kingdom fireworks show makes everything better.

And the family memories we have made from all these trips are absolutely priceless! Trip number 8 countdown to 250 days and we cannot wait.

Resort Pizza

What’s with the resort pizza, it’s nothing fancy, just a mall style quick pizza. Why does it taste so great after a long park day. We usually order a full pizza on our way back from a day in the parks. Kids are usually near starvation, at this point after eating 3 full meals and fancy snacks all day along lol. This is our quick stop from the Caribbean Beach Resort food court.

What a cool town

Just wanted to let you locals, know what a job well done and gem of a town Holland Michigan is. We recently did a family day trip up that way from Ontario Canada. It was well worth the drive, downtown Holland was super clean and unique. Food was excellent at Holland Brewery. The Big Red lighthouse, Ottawa Beach General Store and of course the big Windmill.

Great job, we will definitely be back for the tulip festival in 2027.

What a beautiful place

Just wanted to pop in and say share some photos of our trip from Ontario 🇨🇦 to Mackinac Island/ St Ignace.

We spent a weekend at the Best Western in St Ignace. That hotel is on a level of its own, customer service was excellent and the rooms were clean as expected and we usually stay Hiltons.

The ferry service to the island was great, such an amazing hidden gem. We took our young kids and we walked the entire island. The kids survived the walk on Mackinaw Island fudge and knowing they will be eating a nice dinner at the Pink Pony club.

There is so much history, we are looking forward to heading back next summer.

Throwback to WDW 2018

A few photos to bring back some Nostalgia from 2018. We were on site for Halloween and the change over to Christmas. Fantastic trip, other than it got super cold on our trip we bought our kids Minnie hoodies and gloves. It’s amazing how much has changed since, been about 8 times since and there is always something changing. Simpler times back then. Safe travels.

Sleepy Hollow- Waffles

Just wondering everyone’s thoughts, do we think WDW will bring back the Mickey shaped waffles at Sleepy Hollow at Magic Kingdom. This place was always one of our first stops after rope dropping Rides over the years on recent trips. I know it’s just a waffle but…

Disney Fantasy Pictures

Just a few pictures from our New Year sailing on the Fantasy. We had an amazing time, it’s very hard to say what we enjoyed more. Fantasy or the Destiny. The adult section is much nicer in my opinion on the Fantasy. Enjoy the photos for anyone looking.

Caribbean Beach Resort

Hi everyone, just posting a few photos from our recent stay at CBR. Our family loves this resort we have made this our place to stay when down in Orlando. We have done 7 stays, and can say we maybe have had a handful of little quirks if that. ( Dirty floor in bath tub, pillows / towels missing, nothing that would deter us)

Great resort for the vibe, main pool area is amazing and getting to watch the Epcot fireworks is priceless. Resort is big, our family we enjoy walking/ running this resort is good for an early morning run.

Food court pizza is something else, might just be because it’s Disney. ( If you have a bigger family, pre order a full pizza through the app on the way back from a park, grab the pizza and sit by the main pool and catch the fireworks while eating pizza!)

We have stayed in standard and premium area, both have decent perks. Most recent trip we stayed in premium and the only difference was we found we walked to the Riviera and grabbed a coffee before getting into the Skyliner. Our favourite other areas are Aruba/ Jamaica. Both had perks of pools in the blocks and soda machines close by. Bus stops were also very walkable through the parking lots.

Churro Waffles

What is everyone favourite thing to do other then eat Churro Mickey waffles near the last couple days of your cruise?

Our family likes to grab a couple extra churro waffles, enjoy the day and have a great afternoon snack by adding ice cream on top of them. Kids will get a cone each and we will top them. It’s pretty awesome. Happy cruising!
