Is my email a turnoff to hiring managers?

Totally normal email address (first initial, last name) @yahoo.com

But Yahoo... Does it scream "this candidate is out of touch with the times", really old, or lacking professionalism, or just get flagged as spam? I've had the email since the dawn of the Internet, but have a number of Gmail accounts I could also use, but are clogged with spam at the moment.

Let me know your take. I've been sending a number of applications out for jobs I'm literally a perfect fit for, but can't even get a call back. My resume is mint. I've had a few peers look at it and when they actually talk to me are impressed by the achievements.

2027 Model Update Thoughts

New 2027 RXT/RXP get a few upgrades over the 2026

New orange color scheme and limited edition Senna yellow

350HP engine (tune, beefed up crank bolts and bigger compressor wheel)

Revised ride plate to angle bow up and reworked stator on jet pump

Price increase of around $2,000 vs. 2026.

How much real world improvement do you think all these changes are going to translate to?

Bow Splash Guard

I do a bit of rough water riding in salt water. One of the issues I have is spray coming off the bow covering my sunglasses in salt water and making them hazy.

Are there any options other than the jet trim splash guard? I read these don't seem to hold up well. It's for a 25 RXTX.

Official Torque Specs for ST3 Engine Access Cover?

Trying to figure out what the exact torque should be for these. Put them in at 30 in pounds which seems to be right by feel, but I read online it's somewhere between 40 and 50 inch pounds which seems high. Can anyone confirm the OEM torque spec the bolts that secure the cover?

Would you use this oil filter

I got a Sea-Doo oil change kits for my rxtx325. The filter was bouncing around in the box and it got a little bit beat up in shipping. The metal mesh around the paper pleats is deformed. Would you guys risk running this in your machine or get a new filter?

Sea-Doo Hull Scratch Repair

Got a small scuff in my new RXTX 325 hull last week when loading. Must have been sand or something on the bunks and it left a very small abrasion on the front just before where the hull rests on the bunks. It's deep enough to feel with the finger nail but very hard to see unless you shine a light on the spot.

I think the hull is made of some type of 2-ply molded acrylic plastic sheet back with a fiberglass reinforcement layer. Is there any way to fix small scratches? Is buffing with a compound the best method, or is there a resin that can be applied to the scratch? Or just leave it be? How deep do scratches need to be to become a concern with hull cracking?

325 Supercharger Whine

Are there any quick cheap mods on the intake side I can do to make the supercharger louder? I'm not looking to make this thing whistle like a modified diesel truck or sound overly throaty, but nice to be able to clearly hear there's a supercharger working. Is there an intake resonator or air box mod I can do that doesn't make the overall intake sound too loud? Any noticable performance gains/losses?

SCOM and Warranty

Hypothetically if I were to do a non-flash/piggyback harness style SCOM, could the dealer tell it was installed and removed. I guess technically they could see the maximum speed was above the factory limit. In case there's any warranty issues I don't want to have to fight that battle. Anyone install one and have an engine issue that was warrantied?

Trailer bow roller placement

Anyone with an ST3 seadoo hull PWC can tell me if this looks right? Is the roller supposed to be resting on the plastic trim or just below it? Things you don't think about until you actually have to do them.

Voles living in foundation drain

I have significant vole activity in my yard and it leads back to the foundation drain exit behind my house. Is there any risk in them being in there? And what's the best way to eradicate the issue?

What to do with this birch tree bush

I was clearing some land in my backyard and moved this birch to save it from being cut down, it was a nice clump of three paper birches, but unfortunately it didn't survive transplant shock. The trees all died back, so I cut it down with plans to dig it out. Next spring there were a ton of suckers growing out of the old root ball. Now I have about 10 leaders that are about 10 ft tall and growing nicely in a bush formation.

What do you all recommend I do with this, what's the long-term survival of something like this and will it be a liability longer term? Or do I continue to manage the science experiment and prune it so it stays a birch tree bush?

Anchors

Let's see everyone's anchor set-up. I just got this screw type anchor with a sand shark bungee. Wondering how it will hold up to lakes and occasional ocean sandbars.

Cub Cadet XT1 LT50 Stalls When Blades Engaged

I have an approximately 3-year-old xt1 lt50. For a while the PTO would stop working after it got hot. Maybe an hour of use. I was going to replace the PTO with a heavy duty one, I haven't yet, but now the engine dies when the blades are engaged. Has anyone had this issue? Was it a ground short in the harness somewhere, or is it related to the PTO issue I was experiencing before?

Royalton Negril Reopening Date

Heard it would be some time in late August 2026. Has anyone been by the property lately does it look like they're making progress fixing the hurricane damage?

Thinking about traveling in late September but don't want to roll the dice on it not being back up and running.

Any local intel on the status?

License Plate Bulb Harness

I had one bulb burn out on my 2014 JGC. The harness appears to have corroded and one pin broke off in the harness. I cant seem to remove it without damaging the plug. Is there any easy fix for this without having to buy a new Mopar harness?
