I want devastation

I want devastation in some fictional setting, characters back stabbing,
Lovers to enemies!!!
Not like my husband died and I’m pregnant with his baby (which is perfectly fine just not what I’m seeking rn)

Can be romance or friends to enemies, I want devastation in the relationships and characters arcs that are gradual where you eat the crumbs of their descent until at the end of the book your mouth is full of bread and it falls out when your jaw drops at the revelation.

Good vs evil with grey characters is also great.

Think anakin skywalkers entire storyline and his relationship w Obi-Wan and Padme and Ahsoka, and that level of devastation and then the final act of redemption through his son.

Thank you in advance!!!

IIL the relationships and good and evil and morally grey of Star Wars

Looking for books and TV shows!!

I really enjoy the complex character relationships that get strained in Star Wars, and love seeing them play out in shows like the clone wars and the final episode of the Kenobi show (only that episode lol). I love the good and evil and friends/lovers to enemies plot lines. Good people falling to the dark side and when characters like Maul are complex and are villains but with an agenda so outside of the whole plot.

I also love interesting villains like Iago from Othello, he is fascinating. And I enjoy morally grey characters that don’t need a redemption arc.

Thank you in advance!!

Birthday food/drink/freebies in Chicago

Hi all! I am celebrating my bday in Chicago and am looking for fun places for dinner, drinks, treats, and freebies in town.

I love almost every cuisine except classic American and Mexican. As for vibes I love moody and dark or pink and girly, not essential though.

Donuts are fun, I love Asian cuisine desserts a lot, or any places with good mocktails!!

Budget is not super high, I’m a grad student so budget friendly suggestions are appreciated!

Medical affairs internship companies recommendations?

Hello all,
I am a rising 3rd year grad students and interested in MSL/MA roles. I am planning to pursue an internship for summer/fall of 2027.

Does anyone have any recommendations of companies to apply to? Or alternatively, ones you recommend avoiding for internships?
I am looking at BioMarin, AZ, Merck so far.

I have an interest in rare diseases and plan on also doing an R&D internship if I absolutely hate MA.

Looking for specific recommendations or warnings.

TIA!

TJ’s leave in conditioner is amazing for my 2a/2b hair

I posted here a few weeks ago looking for advice and now I’m back w my own! First two is the best I could ever get my hair to look and the second two are after using the leave in conditioner from TJs. Pics don’t really do it justice but it gave SO much structure and silky-ness to my waves and made them much more defined and manageable!! And they look like that all day it’s amazing. Highly recommend for anyone w similar hair 2a/2b that dries fluffy or frizzy esp. on top layer.

Random pains elsewhere in body related?

Hello all, I am just seeking if others have had similar experiences. I feel like there is not a day that goes by where something doesn’t hurt, and I don’t mean abdominal pain. I get terrible cramps and pain with sex as typical endo symptoms and get endo belly (this faded with norethindrone though) and generally have horrible uterine pain during periods.
But every day I’m not on my period I feel that something other than my abdomen hurts. It’s crazy to me that people live their lives pain free every day or most days. Is that something that y’all experience?

It’ll be my shoulders or chest or feet or just something every day.

Seeking thoughts or shared experience as I’m beginning to wonder if there is something else going on. Other than endo I haven’t been diagnosed w any other physical disorders. I am relatively active and fit, currently losing weight, and eating healthy. Low sugar lots of veggies all that.

GLP-1 requests

Those of you who are on GLP-1 for your endo, did you bring it up to your doctor or did they mention it first?

If you brought it up, how did that go?

I am trying to lose weight but my meds for endo pain are proving to make that more difficult than it did before I was on them. I also can’t do intense exercise because of my endo so I’m worried about weight for that reason as well.

Thanks!

Hi all,
I’ve had my gecko for about 1.5 years and we have a great relationship. He always comes out when I get home and stays out the rest of the evening. He loved to be handled and is really interested in me and friendly. The other night I lifted his humid hide lid to check on him bc I hadn’t seen him and I do that normally and he doesn’t mind. But this time a piece of foliage brushed his tail and it send him into a completely panicked frenzy. He was running and scrambling all over his cage and eventually hid in his hot hide and calmed down.

But now he won’t come out to say hi or when I open the door (usually means food).

I know it’s only been a day, so I know this is normal for the first few days after they get spooked. But for those who have had this happen,

How did your gecko recover? Any advice?

Thanks

▲ 3 r/BDFB

Hi everyone, our apartment has some roaches and we are probably going to call exterminator soon because they are in oven clock which is really bad sign. However, I am hesitant because I don’t know what type of treatments would be harmful to BDFB. We don’t have a big place and I could put them in a different room with door closed from area with the roach poison gel but I worry about air travel.

Has anyone treated for roaches with BDFB and how did u handle it?

TIA!

Brushed hair while wet (wet brush) and had leave in conditioner in. First two photos are after a quick scrunch.

It always dries so puffy and frizzy on the top layer and looks bad but I’m able to “force curls” if I finger twist hair, albeit loose curls. NOT saying I have officially curly hair, just providing more info.

Trying to identify hair type to learn how to style it better! Any suggestions appreciated
