How do I get out of my head as a woman about noise during the deed?

I know in my head that men want women to make noise and moan during sex. I know that, I've seen the comments about how hot it is and how you guys want a enthusiastic participant. But i just feel like i can't get past my shyness, timidness, or just.... feeling of embarrassment? It's frustrating because there seems to be a disconnect between what I know and how i feel. And I don't know how to fix it. Maybe some response here will finally let it click in my brain.

Has anyone brought their Kitty on cabin trip?

I have an 11 month old Lynx Point siamese. She is so social. Follows me everywhere. In the past when I have left for a weekend I've had a neighbor check on her and spend like an hour day with her, but I still feel so bad because she's so social as a kitten and I don't have another kitten right now so she is alone for 23 hours on those weekends. I plan on getting her a friend in the future. But this weekend I am going on a four night trip to a cabin. I was thinking of bringing her. It's about an hour and a half away, she actually does pretty okay in cars. Like she does meow, but it's more of a curious meow than an anxious panicked meow. I bought her a GPS collar, but I don't plan to have her outside at all. She would only remain in the cabin. I have brought her to my mom's house before for two nights and she has done fine, she just walks around curious about her surroundings. My mom can't take her this time around however. My main goal with taking her is just so she doesn't have to be alone and it's an adventure. The cabin she would be able to look outside and watch the birds whereas in my apartment complex the only window looks out into the alleyway. I have OCD and anxiety and I'm worried that she is going to flip out and get eaten by a bear. Obviously that is a little exaggeration because I won't let her out of my sight and she will have her collar on. Just wondering if anyone has done something similar!

Should I get another cat?

As the title says. I have a 10 month old lynxpoint named Maisie. We live in a small studio apartment. I do petsitting and I can tell she is sometimes bored when her favorite dog is here. I am in school and hopefully will have more money in a year or so but right now money is tight. But I may have been selected by the cat distribution system again and I don't know what to do. I was shopping at a store when store employees found her so I took her with me to my place until someone who rescues cats could pick her up. But she'll be ready for adoption in a few weeks and the lady wants to know if I want her back. Fostering is also an option.

I lost my soul cat in 2024 and my childhood cat 2 months later. I still grieve their losses and getting Maisie was a big deal because I felt like I was "replacing" my other cats. Now I'm feeling that AGAIN, will Maisie feel replaced by another cat or does she need a friend? The cat happens to be another siamese with blue eyes, maybe 6 months old, and is like a Thai cat. I just don't know what my cat wants. If she wants a friend I'll get her one, but how do I know?

Anyone feeling like they are carrying around a heavy backpack *emotionally*?

I am a 31-year-old female nursing student, it's my second career. I am on summer break until August 24th, I have been on break since like May 16th. And I just feel like I haven't rested or filled my cup. I've had days where I've slept nearly the entire day or at least spent the day in bed, watching Netflix or reading. I've had days at the lake where I float on my paddle board for 6 hours. But I feel like my mental load is still so heavy. I have a lot of anxiety, which I am technically being treated for with a few medications and I have EMDR and therapy every other week. I've been working a lot less this summer but my schedule didn't really fill in like I wanted it to with my first career job stuff so I have been making extra money pet sitting. I spend a lot of time thinking about money and how I'm going to pay for bills. Tried biking more this summer but then my bike was stolen. My car needs thousands of dollars worth of work. I'm constantly worried about my mom's health. I just feel so emotionally stuck and so tired of having to solve problems. Like last week my AC went out and it was hot as hell in my place but because I don't have extra funds to just go out and buy new one I fixed it but it took me 3 hours of taking it apart and cleaning the inner coils etc. I just feel like everything is a chore. Nothing is a simple fix. And because of this I'm scared. I'm scared to start school in a month because I feel like I haven't filled my cup back up. Classmates seem to always say that their Summers were so restful. I feel like my mind and body ache, my bones are exhausted, my soul has no spoons left. I don't know how to remove this heavy weight on my shoulders. I wish I could take my brain out of my head and run it through the dishwasher and then put it back. My labs are good, everything is fine with my health, I just feel like everyday is an uphill climb.

Will TM let me trade tickets?

I bought 3 tickets for a concert in the upper bowl for a show for 100 bucks each. One friend backed out so I listed one ticket for sale. Now my OTHER friend backed out but said I could just "give away" her ticket. Has anyone had any luck with TM letting you switch seats? If im going alone, and i have two "extra" tickets that's haven't sold, I'd love to upgrade to a better seat. They can keep the difference, idc. The show is not sold out and there are tons of closer seats available

No dryer, anyone else put laundry outside to dry?

I want to wash my comforter but the dryer is broken. Can I hang outside or would that not be advised with the AQI? I can wait until tomorrow if tomorrow is going to be better, but i thought the fire smoke may blow in our direction again this weekend?

"Vintage" stores with early 2000's clothes & accessories

I hate to say early 2000's and vintage in the same sentence but I am looking for an outfit that is early 2000's coded. Besides a Goodwill, are there any thrift shops in minneapolis or within the nearby burbs that would have that early 2000's vibe?

Stolen bike, a found bike, iso suggestions

On Friday my beloved bike was stolen. No idea what the serial number was and I did post it on TC lost bikes fb page and Bike index. I have since been driving around looking for it because it does have sentimental value, but it's gone forever I'm sure.

While driving around looking for my bike, though, I did find an abandoned bike in some tall weeds. Determined to hopefully reunite this bike with the owner, I found the serial number and have been checking to see if it's registered, as well as scrolling through fb lost bike page to see if anyone has reported it. No luck. I really want to find the owner, mostly because I want someone to find my beloved bike and give the same effort to find me. It's currently at a bike shop being repaired. It's highly likely that the owner won't be found, in which case my options are to let the shop keep the bike and resell, or keep it for myself. That feels so sad to me as I'd prefer the owner gets it back, but if they can't be found, should I keep the bike since now I'm needing one?

Lastly, for when I get a new bike, I want to have a GPS tag on it. I'm kicking myself for not putting one on, but the bike was always on my sight or in a locked garage. Does anyone have suggestions for a low cost GPS tracker?

If you see this bike around, please let me know, it was stolen

Hi, I live in south Minneapolis by the YMCA and I'm beside myself right now because the bike is use to get around was stolen from my garage. I have no idea how they got in because the side button to get in doesn't work. I'm feeling really angry at the world right now. Please report it if you see it, I've already filed a police report and listed it on stolen bike website. I don't know what else to do

Where's your favorite place to paddle board around in TC?

I live in S Minneapolis and usually my favorite lakes to paddle is Bde and Isles. I've done Harriet and Cedar. It seems like lately because of the algae blooms the water has been on the murky side.

I don't want to drive more than an hour out of the city, so I'm just wondering what your favorite spots are for being in the water!

2011 Subaru Forester oil leak

Hey, so I bought a 2011 Subaru Forester in October 2020 from an independent small family dealer. I had no issues besides later noticing my oil consumption was high. I brought it to a Subaru dealership in 2021ish and they said that it was a known issue and that there was a recall back in like 2013 or whenever for oil consumption. However they said the recall time to fix the issue was expired so I would have to pay for the repair out of pocket. They told me my other option would to just be constantly checking the oil and adding more oil every time it was low. I've been doing that for a handful of years now. Well on Friday I brought my car to a mechanic for another small issue and they noted the leak of oil. They said that the problem with continuing to add oil when the oil is low is that without fixing the leak, the oil can start dripping down into the exhaust area and if it does that, and it heats up high enough, it can start an engine fire. They told me that the issue with fixing the leak is that they'd have to basically take out the entire engine and put it back together and it would be at least $5,500. I bought the car for $11k.

I am unsure what to do. I am currently a nursing student and right now barely make $15,000 a year. Because I can't afford that, my options are to just keep putting an oil and hope for the best, or continuing to add oil, hope for the best, and if my car starts on fire, hopefully get money from insurance to at least get a new car

I am wanting to reach out to Subaru because, as my mechanic said, this is a safety issue. There should not be a time limit on fixing recalled issues. The person who owned the car before me clearly did not get the repair fixed during the recall time. Also, with how much Subaru Prides themselves in being pro-environment, I would hope that they would want to stop a car from spitting out oil and possibly adding more carbon to the atmosphere via engine fire.

Just here ranting, possibly looking for advice or something.

Can someone point me to literature or info on overexposure to inappropriate sexual situations in adolescents and kids?

I'm not referring to kids finding and watching p*rn. I'm referring to adults behaving inappropriately around each other in front of kids. A few examples: a couple talking about feeling upset about loss of erection during sex in front of a 14 year old, other private conversations happening in front of the kid, or touching of each other like stroking genitals over clothes thinking the child in the room won't notice. All this paired with the adult couple giggling like teens, making the actual teen feel weird because why is this happening in front of them?

I'm not talking about pure sexual abuse or being exposed to p\*rn but instead the gray area of seeing adults act this way and how it effects brain development AND future relationship towards intimacy as an adult. This could also include children whose parents were SWs and the child was in close proximity to the *work environment*.

Making bone broth meal topper for Maisie

I feed her dry food 2x/day. (Her lunch is wet food from a pet deli that has ground cooked food for cats with supplements), but i wanted her to get hydration with her dry kibble so I picked up chicken feet and necks, simmered them for 4 hours with a little apple cider vinegar, then put it in fridge overnight to make fat harden and easy to strain out. Now I'm pressure canning the broth so i can put it in my pantry. She's already been very interested in my task.

This is my mouth when relaxed. I can't stand how one side droops. My side profile looks like I'm having a stroke. My dentist friend said that fixing my gummy smile would be a major surgery, but I wonder how i could at least fix my droopy mouth? Are there exercises I can do or something to lift that side up? 🤔 everyone tells me they don't see what I see but my mouth clearly curves down. I feel so ugly.
