Book Off is absolutely insane

These are all prices for USED copies. FFVII Remake Intergrade was $40 brand new when it released and is currently $34 brand new shipped to your house from Amazon. They have it USED for $60. Dragon Quest VII Reimagined for $80 on Switch 1 is also more than it costs brand new retail.

I honestly don’t get how Book Off stays in business. I know they’re suppose to be good in Japan, but in the US the prices are a joke. Even their Blu-rays and 4K blurays are absurd prices. They had a 4K Akira USED for $40 that I just bought brand new for $28 retail.

Beat the base game and Foundation, some questions (contains spoilers)

So is there anything in the game that bridges the gap to Control Resonant? Like does Dylan ever wake up in Control 1 or anything that sets up whatever is happening in Control Resonant? Or is the expectation that Control Resonant will have something that bridges the gap?

Just wondering if I missed anything, because nothing in the game really seems like it ends in any type of cliff hanger for the next game (other than Dylan not being awake).

Should house paint just applied look like this? This was applied 2 days ago

The house is supposed to be blue with white trim

So they applied the blue which was suppose to be over the main parts of the house - they applied to it to the whole house and are now painting over that dark blue with white for the trim. They also painted over our hose spigot outside and power outlets. Also the cracking on the first picture and globs of paint in the second picture.

The company doing the work is a licensed, bonded, and insured company with ROC.

So how’s that July 8th big NDA bill thing goin’?

Via the leaks that said JULY 8th a bill would be signed that does away with NDA’s and allows people like Lue to speak freely. Don’t see anyone calling this out today and seems like it’s just being filed into the forgotten bin with all the other dates that have come and gone.

Instead you have a lot of people just buying Gen 4’s second hand and having that money NOT go to Logitech or switching to other brands (when they don’t want wireless). Just make the Gen 5 A40’s, people are literally just waiting to spend hundreds of dollars on them. Insert the take my money meme here.

I understand the logic they’re using of “buy our wireless headsets because they break after a few years and we get more business when you rebuy”, but you’re also just entirely missing out on money from people that don’t and won’t buy wireless.

Savage Raven Thumb Grips review

If you’re looking for thumb grips these are some really good ones for $10 on Amazon (in the US). Material feels really nice on these, very grippy and they fit the Switch 2 Pro Controller even though they’re only advertised as fitting the Joycons. It comes with 3 different styles as well as shown in the last picture. I’ve gotten a lot of thumb grips since the 360 days and I think these are the best feeling ones I’ve ever purchased.

Picked this up about a week ago, traded a few games towards it and another game and managed to only spend $35 cash after that. Happy to have it again after playing it a lot back in ‘99.

Pro tip for a lot of people in this sub to make their game rooms much more inviting and cozy feeling

Invest in some lamps and warm lighting instead of harsh white cool toned overhead lights, you’ll make your space 100x more welcoming and cozy feeling

See so many set ups here with $5k worth of games and the harshest most hideously contrasted white light from a ceiling fan. When I’ve posted my set up I would get a lot of feedback on how cozy it looked and I can tell you that the vast majority of that comes from the lighting source being all lamps and softer lights.

Obviously not everyone wants a cozy look to their set up, if that’s you, then this isn’t for ya.
