Heavy, not exactly awkward
Chose to bring this plug-in air mattress home today from my in-laws' place. It was heavy and oversized for my pillion but the cargo net kept it stable vs. the incredible torque of my T7.

Hi all. Been a non-joined lurker for a few months and I now have occasion to join. This is our popup. It originally belonged to my parents neighbors when I was growing up. They sold it to my parents, who hauled it behind an Isuzu Trooper II and a Plymouth Voyager (remember those?), taking it to a lot of different places around the Pacific Northwest. The family got larger and we grew until the camper was too small for us. It lived in the garage for a long time after that. When we bought our place we were gifted it by my parents to help our young family maintain the love of camping in the great outdoors. It's been surreal taking my own family camping from time to time in the same trailer I did as a boy.
I was just passed at ludicrous speed in the center lane near Morningside. The first vehicle was a red Tesla with paper dealer plate placeholders. The second was a black Subaru Crosstrek with license plate 920 MMJ.
Anyone familiar with these vehicles driving like this or similar behavior in this location or time?
Hi all,

I spun a rod bearing in my 08 EJ253 motor with 114k miles. I was an idiot and didn't keep an eye on the oil level for 3 or 4 months.

I found and purchased an EJ257 short block of similar vintage and am planning on swapping the heads from my EJ253 onto it with a new head gasket and replace all the other seals while I'm in there. I'm pretty happy to see the 257 short block has an oil-coolant heat exchanger on it right above the oil filter. I've done what I thought was enough research, but realized I haven't talked to you all yet.

Anything exceedingly obvious I'm missing here, as far as my plan and whether or not it's going to work? Anything you all recommend I check or do while I'm doing the swap/rebuild? Rebuilding an engine has been on my bucket list for at least 20 years, so I'm pretty excited about knocking this one off the list.
Had a family friend ask to have her field cut down in advance of fire season. She didn't have to ask twice!
Then I road drove over to my in-laws to cut their hilltop pasture.
The 14' Interstate single axle tilt trailer got its workout in for the month.
