What if the SS Normandie sank like the Titanic? Put my SketchUp model into Enscape with a layer of water

Im having fun with the SS Normandie model i made and wanted to see of the Enscape effects for water would work well. Boy did they ever! I have two of the other spaces as well with the sinking.

This is not* ai, i make my own models, and enscape renders materials and waters so crazy cool well. If you want to see what the model looks like raw/not rendered, let me know! It was a ton of time and effort, enjoy!

SS Normandie Cafe Grill recreation, modeled in Sketchup, rendered in Enscape

Put out a few renderings ive done of this ship before, wanted to show the cafe. I know it isn’t 100% accurate, but it is certainly 90% approximate haha. I work in architecture full time, and this is made when i have time after hours. Enjoy!

SS Pasteur, 1939. First class dining room. Modeled in SketchUp and rendered in Enscape.

The very art deco SS Pasteur debuted in 1939, very briefly before its military enlistment. Modeled here to show one of the beautiful spaces within the ship. Its not 100% accurate but it is 90% approximate. I do these for fun as i work full time.

Back to the Future Part 2, town square video pan-rendering. Modeled in SketchUp, rendered in Enscape.

First video to pop down here in the sub, this model took forever with ALL the number of buildings and detail required to make it seem like it was up to snuff. I have a time lapse video im still editing of it all being made, will eventually post somewhere. Enjoy!

Disney Lands 1957-67 House of the Future. Recreated it in Sketchup and rendered it in Enscape.

I think this can be allowed here, recreated it to see it from more angles. Always loved the optimism of the design. Interior still to come!

Recreation of the lost Minneapolis Great Northern Depot 1913-1978. Modeled in SketchUp and rendered in Enscape

Hello all,

I’ve been working on a few recreations of lost historical buildings, and this one is the furthest along. This is the progress for the exterior, i have most of the main passenger waiting area modeled as well, but i have no idea what the inside of the entrances looked like or the platform areas. Wouldn’t mind some help for source material there haha. Hope you enjoy!

I also hope this isn’t against the rules, it doesnt seem to be? It’s based off of historic photos, and the intention is to share it with people who’ve never seen it before and for people to enjoy :)

Fhloston Paradise - The main ship/hotel lobby, and the Old Opera House VIDEO rendering. Made these two models in SketchUp and rendered them both in Enscape.

Hello! Made these in my off hours with my architecture software. Always loved the film and wanted to share. Posted the still images earlier, here are the two models in video form. Enjoy!

Minoru Yamasaki’s 1977 Rainier Tower. Been modeling this in SketchUp and rendering it in Enscape

Very happy with this so far, still making model progress on the original ground level mall that used to be it’s base. What do you y’all think?
Hope you enjoy :)

1935 SS Normandie recreation, interior, First Class Smoking Lounge, stairs. Modeled in SketchUp, rendered in Enscape

I am not an expert on the ship itself, but i fell in love with it when i came across interior pictures of it this past year. I work in architecture, and this is me having fun outside of my work house. I went off a combination of PDF blueprints and eye balling it from false color photos. It is not exact, but very approximate, and i know there are things that could be changed/be more accurate, but i one could never stop sometimes… haha. Hope you all enjoy!
