I’m buying a new guitar, I already have a Strat.
The live tones I’d be trying to replicate are 1999/2000ish,
And studio tones like first 4 albums

The Tokai pickups are a neck 59, and a bridge pearly gates plus that “sounds like a p90” with the pull pot(cant remember the name of the mod)

I tried the Sheraton in a shop, was nice.
Tried a revstar and hated the neck.
Tried an epi igc les Paul std,liked the guitar,weight wasn’t too bad tbf
Haven’t tried the rest yet

I know i should try them all,
But between work and sports,I don’t have much time for a 2hr journey to the nearest Gibson/epi dealer

My amp will soon be a Blackstar st James or a ht club 50(haven’t decided yet).For now it’s a boss katana.
Drive wise I have a Jhs morning glory and a tube screamer,I was looking at either a thorpy dane or a ss-2 clone to finish it off,or just get a red remote for morning glory

If I’m looking to play absolutely everything from the first 4 albums and the masterplan,
What should I go for?
I tried the epi in a different colour in a shop but if I was to get it I’d get the sunburst
I also tried one of the really expensive epiphone igc les Paul’s,and I was shocked how little of a difference there was in weight,but I suppose I was sitting down so wouldn’t have noticed as much rather than standing up
The Tokai has a 59 in the neck and a pearly gates in the bridge
Heritage is all stock and same price as the epi in the shop

Id try and pay 1000 for the Tokai not €1200

Also side note:anyone know where I can get a cheaper version of the leather strap Noel uses?

Slide away,champagne supernova,don’t go away,it’s good to be free, and where did it all go wrong

I think mine would probably 1999/2000, the black les Paul custom,the Les Paul standards, Rickenbackers and I think it’s when Noel started using the es-355 more consistently aswell.
Also the teles he was using and gems firebird too

I checked the intonation,it’s perfect,same with tuning.
I’m about to throw my guitar through my window cos I’m losing my mind

Ernie ball turbo slinky’s if that matters just put them on today

I was extremely frustrated when I made this post😂 it’s my first time actually setting up my guitar myself and was annoyed it didn’t fully work

Obv I know that Noel mainly uses a semi hollow,but idk how the quality of the new epis are,and I want something that’s actually good.

If I was to give an example of what sound I’m looking for,
Think all of morning glory,and also live forever,slide away and don’t go away.

I’m posting in this sub because I’ll mainly be playing oasis or something similar.

I’m buying a second guitar to oppose my Strat,
I love the look of the heritages because it’s classic Gibson shapes,but I also know the quality control on se are spectacular.

My Strat covers the clean stuff,so it will be playing stuff like oasis,Gary Moore,eagles etc.

I’m worried that the heritage is too good to be true,or is the resell value on them that low

I tried a revstar and it wasn’t for me,just didn’t feel right,before anyone recommends that.
Any other recommendations if not any of these 3?

What out of these is best value?
I know Taylor are good reputation wise but heard their guitars sound very tinny

I saw this luthier on TikTok and fucking live the look of this and thinking of building something similar.
I love the look of white lace sensors with the gold writing,and am wondering how different are they from vintage voiced pickups.

I play a lot of John Mayer,srv,and others but those two are the “Strat sound” that I use it most for.

But if the LS can get 90% of the way there,I’m fine with trading that 10% for almost noiseless pickups and they look fucking sick.

Anyone with experience with both can you say what your experience was?

Saw these recommended on reverb and icl they look really cool but I’ve never heard of the brand,both of these are along the lines of what I’m looking for,a cleanish drive and a fuzz

Anyone have experience with these?

Which of these is best for a light gain?Specifically a bluesbreaker sound?
The best example of the sound im going for is arms length by Sam fender or me and the dog by fender aswell.
I really like the clean sound coming out of my amp and don’t want to sacrifice the clean tone by adjusting the amp

I’ve heard bad stuff about the golden boys but they look really good for the price
