⇒ If you maintain good oral hygiene,
⇒ if you already flossed and brushed the night before (as you should, in that order),
⇒ if you don’t have any gastrointestinal or respiratory medical conditions;
You don’t have to brush your teeth before you make out with the person next to you. The water will be plenty to rinse off the dried dead cells, and your breath will be fine. You should absolutely replenish right away the fluids you lost overnight anyway, especially if you plan on proceeding to rigorous exercise.
There was news recently, about how HSP holders are making less money compared to half of Japanese new graduates (about 3M/year, which is the lower limit for HSP).
Edit: apparently the article was not about HSP but the humanities / engineer standard work visa, but still, the general point stands.
Of course, the whole point of HSP is not just money, that’s exactly why it’s a point system where higher education, work/research experience, Japanese ability etc also count. Those are aspects you might not be able to instantly quantify in JPY, but of course they contribute both to society and have a higher potential impact on economic activity (if they want to be fiscally tedious about it), hence the value they bring to Japan. Not that facts matter these days.
It got me thinking, why are they suddenly talking about this? It reminded me of a wonderful Turkish expression I’d roughly translate as : “Today’s neither a holiday nor a festival, why did my brother-in-law give me a hug?”
Hence, my guess for what’s next. But curious to hear what y’all think.
I just ordered this blind based on description, off Mercari but unused, for 2300JPY (~15USD) including shipping. 100ml EDT. Made in Italy.
I have found no mention of it here, hence this thread. If anyone has already tried it, please let me know your impressions.

In top Bergamot and Lemon “combine” their citrus verve with the spicy accent of Pink Pepper.
In heart the persistent freshness of Lavender blends with the amber and enveloping scents of Cashmere Wood.
In base, the musky, woody, warm and sexy Ambroxan finds the best travel companions in the spicy and balsamic Patchouli and Vetiver.
Greetings. In case someone can recommend a company they work with, or they work for, I am looking into outsourcing storage and shipping.
Recently launched, sales are steady to various parts of the world, and feedback is positive. I haven’t done any domestic marketing yet, because I want to get a good shipping system in place first, so that I don’t get caught single handed when orders inevitably increase. Location doesn’t matter too much as most of these companies are in Kanto, Kansai, or in between anyway.
Absolutely no “AI FiRsT”, “LeVeRaGiNG AI!!1” companies. No AI anything. Call me a Luddite and I’ll wear it like a badge of honor, and most reasonable people would agree if they looked up who the Luddites actually were and what they stood for.
There are many, many of them and it’s hard to choose. Most seem to fall into two categories: either high monthly fixed costs (for software, inventory management etc), or beginner friendly low fixed costs (built into the variable/ per shipment costs of course), but then a convoluted system that makes you wonder what kind of catch there is, surprise fees you’ll get hit with later, etc.
Out of all the types of businesses one encounters in Japan, in terms of hard-to-understand contracts, this one appears to be the final boss.
It also tends to be a very cutthroat industry with tough working conditions (not a surprise given the number of companies). If I knew for a fact that Company A has high costs because they pay and treat their workers well, I’d go ahead right now and sign the contract, but there’s no guarantee of that either. Which is another reason I wanted to ask for any personal recommendations here.
Any experiences with this one? Please LMK ASAP—last pair, I don’t want to miss out.
My feet are 14 barleycorn wide and 0.06 perch long.
Will they be effective against the occasional dragon, frequent gargoyles etc I’ll encounter? I’ll need agility.
Edit : this is parody made with love, it’s not mockery. 99.99999% of my posts are serious and helpful, a vast majority of which is spent explaining why extremely wide toe boxes are good for you actually. This is just a bit of fun on this unbearably hot and humid Friday. Still, I sincerely apologize to anyone I might have offended, I meant no ill will whatsoever.
People around me suspected beaver but weren’t sure, looks more like a muskrat to me.
That is all. They are getting bigger and more aggressive every year.

Shipments might not be the quickest until late May, but should be smooth sailing from there on out.
The happiest moment so far, of the last two years' emotional rollercoaster, was when the local Japan Post worker came by this week to pick up a few shipments. He said he has wide and long feet, and thus a hard time finding good shoes. They are allowed to wear black sneakers of any brand. He tried these on, walked up and down the hallway, couldn't believe how comfortable they were and bought that pair on the spot. Coming from a postal worker who walks 15-20k steps daily for a living, that means the world to me.
Of course including an asterisk in the title, because of the obvious reason that I cannot know every shoe that exists. If there's anything out there just as wide, with similar stack height / cushioning, please do share! The more the merrier.
Sincere apologies to everyone for the long delay since the announcement late last year, which has all the background info you might want to check out, and some Q&A in the comments:
And a disclaimer that shipments might not be the quickest until late May, but should be smooth sailing from there on out.
It turns out, good things take time. Import procedures, moving both as a business and personally, getting settled, sorting out accounting, setting up a corporate account with the post office & shipping carriers... all done in Japanese, far from my first language.

If there's anything out there just as wide, with similar stack height / cushioning, please do share! The more the merrier. I see the barefoot and anatomically shaped shoes segments parallel to my old career, in craft beer sales back when the category was first going mainstream. Rather than short sighted competition among small brands, supporting each other and expanding the better quality craft segment against big beer / big shoe is always the better bet.
As always, toe socks are a must in my personal opinion, in order to make the best of these. Or at the very least, either tabi or extra wide non-restrictive anatomically shaped socks.
A note on sizing, as earlier I had posted every size's raw inner dimensions straight from the rubber sole factory: https://www.saifootwear.co.jp/uploads/b/8104fe60-bd1a-11f0-8c43-c9aa4a3b728f/Sai%20Footwear%20-%20Size%20guide.pdf
As you'll notice, they had measured the widths on a slight bias, and of course before the shoes were made. As expected, final measurements of the insoles came out slightly smaller, partly due to upper material taking space, but also because the insole widths were measured straight across without bias, parallel line to the wall if one's heel were placed against it. But given the knit material and plenty of vertical space inside, I'm feeling confident that the widest feet I've seen around here, will be happy in these.
