Seems like in and out burger being next to ChickFilA is like a known thing in SoCal…

This might only pertain to SoCal but has anyone else noticed how many in and burgers are next to chick fila? I mean it makes sense but I’ve seen so many that I don’t think it’s a coincidence anymore.

Thoughts ? This is just a small example near me but I’m sure the list is much higher than even this….

Couple problems with my Supra the evening

Not sure how to fix some of these issues but any tips would be appreciated. First is when I lock the car one day the daytime running light likes to stay on for some reason and yes it’s locked you can see my folded mirrors.

Second I seem to have lost the car in my App I’ve always had it working fine. For 6-7 years I never had a problem and then all of a sudden it seems to have lost my car entirely. And I can’t add it back either.

The most Toyota thing about the MKV Supra

After 7 years of ownership I’ve concluded that the most Toyota thing about the Supra is the fake air vent and the JBL speakers. Mind you I don’t personally view BMW as a bad thing in fact I’m tickled to death that I can get bmw parts on the cheap via Toyota (dealership connections).

But with that being said I really do feel the most Toyota thing about the car are these two things. Saying Toyota tuned the car doesn’t mean anything anymore after I tuned it at a BMW Motorsport shop…. I don’t have the manual as mine is a ZF (they didn’t have manual in 2019)

Open house (condo/garage) day

I currently live in SoCal but in my hometown of Columbus Ohio there is an amazing car community. Basically on certain days like yesterday, residents open their garage to the public for a preview/viewing of their collection. Some of the collections are quite amazing but the owners themselves show great ohio hospitality. After seeing and being part of the California car scene it was refreshing to see my hometown community be so open and just generally awesome.

Here are just a a glimpse of some of the collections here. Hope you enjoyed seeing it as much as I did.

Just want to share a quick first week experience review of my first BMW…

🌹’s are red violets are blue, my purple CS is faster than you…. And yes when it’s parked too…

This car is very very fast and the transmission is so quick that perhaps it’s a smoother ride for local driving to paddle shift and self control the gears you’re in as you cruise through side streets and small neighborhood streets. As compared to leaving it in drive and allowing it to shift for you at crazy speeds all the time even in comfort mode. The car is very comfortable to drive at both low speeds and high speed. It’s actually kind of shocking which makes it somewhat dailyable.

The dealer was super nice to work with and the experience overall was very fun and friendly. I was buying the car but wanted my dad to be there to share the experience with him as he’s been a part of every car purchase I made over the years.

The engine sounds so much deeper as compared to a B58 in fact it kinda felt like a sedans sound from the cabin but only because it has this deep girth type of sound. I actually really like it, it gives a tone of seriousness, the b58 doesn’t have this.

The wheels are amazing but going to be a bitch to clean. The daily usability is off the charts I drove both of my parents in it and just the other day I carried 3 bags of top soil for my dad’s garden in the trunk. On the highway this thing is a passing machine, anywhere you want to go it grips and goes there so long as the surface isn’t wet as it makes no attempt to hide that it’s RWD.

This thing eats gas like a menace and I only have a range of 250 miles a tank at 21mpg and I love it… I don’t mind the pay to play as the experience is so visceral, the feel the sounds. I don’t miss manual with this car and I have other cars I can go to manual with.

My first week with a BMW has been loads of fun so far as I come up with excuses to drive the car even Ubering my parents around lol…

I appreciate the screens in the tech but I’m in technology myself and I don’t require the dash to still be a moving needle. The interior is super nice and it’s a place you really want to be in and enjoy.

People complained about the steering wheel but I enjoy it, it’s different and it has a nice feel to it. On the highway today I had the feeling that I just purchased the STI version of a BMW with all of these add on parts and the golden wheels. Just weird analogy but the car has this aggressiveness to it that it’s pretty much a German muscle car is how I think of it as. Hope I still love this car a few months down the road and then a few years down the road. So far so good for a first experience with the brand and with M.

From an outsider or newcomers perspective, BMW has heavily exhausted and utilized the M branding on other cars that it kinda devalued the M brand. What I mean here is that “this is a proper M car” but what does that even really mean?

It’s lost its actual meaning… IMO they needed to have been more exclusive with it. So many cars now have M something, to the point now when a proper M car comes out now people don’t really even know what that even means anymore. Again this is just my opinion**

So I'm totally lost as to what happened for these final editions Supras to be 71k? Sure inflation but like an incrase of 10k? Over 7 years? I'll attach my Sticker on my Launch Edition Supra. Now I know my version is underpowered because I think they added like 30 more hp in the years after but I still don't know where or how we grow from 58K to 71k you get a spoiler and a struct brace and suede gr seats. It’s not even a numbered car like the Supra Launch Edition is. Is this tariffs? lol...

If you got this car you HAVE to get a manual, and not because I'm a manual fanboy but beacuse of outside of manual I don't see anything here that's an actual gain over Launch Edition or A91 Edition in fact A91 Edition is loads better on paper.

The final edition supra is such a dissapointment that I was saving up for it and ready to buy it or trade my Launch Edition in. It was such a dissapointment that I ended using that saved money towards an M2CS which is what I wanted the Supra Final Edition to be...

Here is an article regarding the Final Edition and it's price: https://www.thedrive.com/car-reviews/2026-toyota-supra-mkv-final-edition-review

From Toyota Press Release: https://pressroom.toyota.com/take-one-last-lap-in-the-toyota-gr-supra-mkv-final-edition/

My Launch Edition Supra Sticker from 2019: I got with no markup

I simply do not get it, if someone can logically explain to me what happened I'd appreciate it. I will say though that the increase in price has added to the idea of holding onto my Supra MKV though.

Enjoyed driving through the mountains and banging some gears. I thought it was comical I kept running into pairs through out the mountains. First it was a Corolla gr an a 86. Then a m3 and m5 (post 2010) I’m not a bmw expert sorry, then two teslas, then two Porsche 911s then two Lamborghinis lol… but still very happy with my pair… I don't get to take both of them out often but this was one of those cases, it makes a good date and lets you access the driving capabilities and trust factors. You'll know if I really trust her if I let her drive the MKIV up and down the mountain.

So long story here, but my father and I purchased a White used 2025 Platinum Sienna with 10,000 miles for $55,000 dollars. I thought and felt the car was great, it has black interior with the nice reclining seats in the back. My brother however hates it he wants Gray everything else is okay with him though. And yes my parents are paying for the vehicle (they're using their Minimum Distribution Checks) from their investements or life savings to purchase me and my brother a car.

Extremely nice gift and I'm super blessed to be a part of this family. However again my brother is PISSSED that it's white. The car has a clean carfax, I found it the car out in California and I'm willing to drive it out to my brother. But is white really that bad as compared to Gray? Additinally it's not easy to find a 2025 Sienna Platinum with that kind of mileage for that price. Out the door I got it for under 60k... what are some things I can say where white is a good/decent color ?

Impulse purchase 100% hopefully I don’t regret it down the road but I don’t think I will. Coming from the MKV and MKIV Supra I really love the platform and the b58 so why not go bigger ? S58 ? on a higher platform? I was able to secure this with no markup and I absolutely love the color.

Excited for 2026 with this in the stable. A lot of times this gets cross shopped with the 911 and the 911 gets picked. I personally have always had and loved inline six turbo motors and I for one appreciate having the larger trunk for more daily occasions.

Biggest complaint CS gets is no cup holder, lucky for me that my first car was a MKIV Supra which I drove for several years and got used to the idea of no cup holder because there is no cup holder in a MKIV either. Moral of the story: True Performance Cars have no cup holders, lol. Additionally I never drink coffee or tea so that definitely helps (Maybe these kind of cars were always for me?).
