Park Green Cafe & Bar

First time exploring the new development out in Rosehill, and we were informed Park Green Cafe & Bar was the place to try.

It’s incredible! The food is tasty, and involves a fusion of Indian/Asian flavours. There’s a different menu during the day (Still gotta try sometime); we visited in the evening and ordered the Pork Belly, Lamb, and a side of chips. The crackling was tasty and crispy whilst not feeling like it’ll break your teeth (not clear in my pic). The lamb was so tender and pulls apart nicely. If I heard correct, both the pork and lamb get slow cooked! The portions felt very generous - we had to take some home as we didn’t expect to get so full! Also, the Promiscuous Plum cocktail was such a treat 😊

I’ve heard they’re much busier during the day. But their Saturday evenings are very quiet. We were their only guests at the time. Please go show them some love during these hours! Excellent atmosphere for a date night or celebratory dinner.

Their service is friendly and accomodating. And I was told they also host events.

Anyone else here on Reddit visited? Let me know what other dishes you’d recommend for our next visit!

"Please restart the game for all changes to take effect" - Message pops up every single time I boot/restart game?

Hey all - so I played Dragonwilds when it first came to early access. Hadn't played/downloaded updates since.

Playing again now, and I get this message appear every single time I play?

Is this a known bug? Is there a fix? Is there a way I ought to report it? :)

TIL: Shutdown ≠ Shutdown (Fast Start Up)

Today I learnt that Shut down has not actually been shutting down my PC, but rather, Hibernating it. Instead, I must restart to achieve the full shut down effect.

I learnt this cause my Mother and her colleagues got in trouble at work from their IT for not "restarting" their PCs often... But they do Shut them Down. I responded by saying how stupid that was because a shut down achieves the same thing as a restart. At least, logically/intuitively I should be correct. But I did some Googling, and due to Microsoft's 'Fast Start Up' (which achieves 8-10 second faster boot up, as far as I can find) this is no longer the case!

I've gone and turned off 'Fast Start Up' on my home PC, and I notice zero difference in boot up, and a heck of a better/smoother shutdown experience. Why was this on by default against my permission and intuition on what I thought shut down was doing?

So help me out here... Is there really much of a reason to have Fast Start up on? I should be fine having this setting off now right? Why is it a default setting in the first place?

Genuinely curious.

Who the hell at MS decided 1 no longer = 1, but instead, 2!

How to replace this Gully Cover - 90ies NZ Home - Sizes all wrong in stores

20cm x 28.5cm if our measurements correct. Guy at Bunnings thinks Marley brand (just a guess).

90ies home, but Gully was re-created early 2000’s as Council demanded concrete be raised (several hundred dollars Mum had to pay for!)

Where does one get these? Is this size out-dated?

That moment you're near the end... but you play with gravity 🤦‍♂️

So I've discovered everything now on the rumors... I'm up to that point in the game where I have a good idea of what to do to proceed to the end, but I just gotta put it to action.

But I'm also nervous of time. And this is where I need some hinters... Is it okay to take my time on the final stretch? Or is it a bit of a rush? Adrenaline kicks in like I'm fighting Runescape Jad back in 08.

Going into >!the Ash Twin project, I already felt to rush of adrenaline.!<It was my second time here, so I didn't need to bother reading all the text. >!I didn't have time the first time to 'make my delivery' past the angler fish.!<>!As before, I hit the gravity and grabbed the core thingy!<but here's where my adrenaline/rushing ruined me... I realized I must >!wait for the teleporter to activate again... and so I went and played with gravity.!<

Long story short, I >!switch gravity back on, SLAMMED into the outer-ground area, and was on a wild chase trying to get back onto the platform (never realized it rotated till I was outside of it)... I manage to reach the gravity again, switch it off, get back up, and switch it on again... but then I'm FLUNG around and smash dead into the platform... I get the death scene of credits.!<lol

Anyway, I know none of that was necessary... I could have just been patient... But it has me wondering this question (which is also the TL;DR):

TL;DR: Is there much rush for time on the final stretch, or is there ample time to do what I must? Can I silence the adrenaline?

Ummm did I just finish the game or....? What the heck &lt;Genuine Confusion&gt;

Surely it's a >!pretend ending? !<I just>! broke space and time!<at the >!High Energy Station!<>!by experimenting with the !<>!black hole and white hole!<...

I'm both amused and perplexed. That isn't... the end... is it?
>!The silly music during credits tells me surely its a joke!!< 😛

Plastic cross-bow shaped object. See photo for size and implied pully movement. Likely broken off something by roaming toddler. Found in our New Zealand home hallway and only recognized by my Mother, who also cannot figure out what it’s from.

I found this un-named object in space... Zero Interaction? Must I even keep it's existence in my memory or can I safely forget it?

Queen Street Bike/Scooter Lane Confusing for Pedestrians

Probably been mentioned here already, but couldn’t find it searching…

Why the heck is the Bike/Scooter lane on Queen Street not clearly marked, and very easily confused for pedestrian walking zone.

I’ve seen plenty of people (especially potential visitors to NZ) strolling down it knowing none-the-wiser. Even had to inform my Mum today not to walk on it, as she never realised either!

Furthermore, we almost got bowled over by bloody scooters! It was a green light pedestrian crossing + Zebra lines… bloody scooters coming ZOOMING by in their lane with complete ignorance and disregard for us trying to cross!

Bloody well colour the lanes, add some lines, and signage! Simple isn’t it?!?!,

Anyone travelling from the city on Southern-line this afternoon will know there’s a fault at Ellerslie, so Southern are all being redirected via Waitemata express straight thru to Otahuhu on the Eastern Line.

Sitting on this very train, I can see people looking around confused.

The entire Southern Line “Next Station is <enter southern line station here>… we’re now arriving at…” plays thru as we pass by (not stopping) other stations on Eastern Line.

Why, with our technology nowdays, must the ENTIRE track play thru??

We then get to Otahuhu and it’s not entirely clear if one needs to stay on or hop off to change trains. no messaging given. Not even a simple “stay on this train if you are continuing South”.

INFACT, a worker at Waitemata told me to hop off Otahuhu to continue south. They were wrong. I stayed on and we continued all stations after.

there was ONE message given at the start of the journey, but in typical public transport fashion, it was muffled, quiet, and easily missed.

i’m baffled how poor the communication is on the train! It’s really a simple matter to inform people more over speaker, is it not?? at least turn off the intercom telling us Southern line stations when we’re redirected on Eastern!

Incase Redditors hate on this post later: I acknowledge AT cannot help the fault that occurred (truck hit bridge?). And props given to the express train via Eastern - great solution! Just bloodywell give us better communication as we all sit confused and stressed (after a busy day of work) on a train going who-knows-where!

TL;DR: We have a thing called technology. Use it to turn off irrelevant station intercoms and to communicate clearly with people on the train. :)
