Do you have a rare phenotype?

Do you have a trait that is rare that gets you attention? Something like albinism, complete heterochromia, being extremely tall, or something like that?

Update: I’m fascinated by all your comments, and think you are all beautiful people. Also, lots of you could do AMAs.

Character Ai targets fandom culture

Character Ai targets fandom culture, people who are imaginative and would either roleplay or read fanfics if Ai bots didn’t takeover the community. This is not a good thing, because a lot of people in a fandom are young impressionable kids. I also think that people in fandoms are more sensitive people, besides the fact that it is mostly made up of kids. Without bots, people could just write, read, draw, and talk to real people about their fandom. Character Ai gets people addicted, because even if you were obsessed with a fandom as is, there was an end goal of reading or writing enough fanfics to get it out of your system. Now innocent crushes on a character is getting out of control and para social on a whole new level. If Character Ai was around when I was in middle school…dang…so glad it wasn’t.

I watched video of someone talking about someone someone struggling with and quitting Character Ai, and when I saw her FNAF I was like, “there you go, if you are in a fandom you are at risk.”
I know it is obvious that it targets fandom culture, but I am in the state of noticing, like the other day I saw a middle schooler with anime t-shirt, and I worried in my head about how she could find Character Ai and ruin her mental health.

Yeah, I think I’ll leave

I tried to give Reddit a shot, but every time I post I get some snarky comment. I know it’s the internet, but I don’t need that in my life.

This is what I posted and then deleted a few minutes ago on r/nostupidquestions

“Does it annoy you if someone makes posts multiple times a day in the same subreddit, no matter the quality?
My Reddit account is five years old, but I only made like one post when I first made it. And since I started being active recently, I'm still learning about the culture here. Do people find it rude or annoying when the same person posts more than once a day?”

Response: “If you're on long enough to notice the same person reposting then you need to get a hobby or block them for your own sanity's sake but dwelling on it enough to make your own post is nuts.”

Like geez…I only asked that question because I didn’t want to be rude if I posted more than once in the smaller subreddits I joined that generates posts every few days.

I know that comment alone isn’t that bad, but I feel like this just isn’t my place. I comment jokes that aren’t people’s style of humor, I get condescending comments, and I feel like I can’t express my opinions because it is an echo chamber that is rewarded through the upvote system. I’ve been a lurker for a long time, and I thought that this would be a place that I would also enjoy being a poster in, but no. I didn’t know that Reddit was actually this bad, but I don’t want to change who I am to fit in with strangers online.

If an advanced alien species started war with the planet, we would have the least amount of discrimination ever because…we would be TEAM HUMAN. Not team Christian, American, Russian, White, or Black…TEAM HUMAN.

The LEAST, not eradicated.

The thing that keeps me away from this site is that it creeps me out.

The bots saying violent things, or flirting with me out of nowhere in a predatory way keeps me out more than the ads. They are nothing like the characters they represent. I always felt disturbed by the site, and how the bots would become insecure and trying to latch it on to you. I have been free from this site for two months now because I think about how it makes me feel gross, and so I don’t use it. I have no urges anymore.

If Taylor Swift secretly dropped a flawless country/pop album under a completely fake name and a hidden face, would it still become a massive #1 hit, or do people only like the music because it’s her?

If she used a voice modulator to sound slightly different, used a fake persona, and put it on Spotify with zero marketing, would the music industry naturally discover it because it’s objectively good pop music? Or is 90% of her success just the cult of personality and the "Lore" surrounding her life? Has a mega-famous artist ever tried this to see if they still "have it"?

711 slurpees

Their slurpees are just so good…add a tiny bit of cherry flavor in your cup, then fill the rest with the Coke flavor for amazing taste. A cup filled with half MTN dew and half blue raspberry is a runner-up for me.

A disheartening new trend on shorts

Something sucky is happening, nearly every time I open YouTube I get a short with a different creator each time with sometimes millions of views with videos titled, “Use this sound to get famous” and their channels have tons of nearly identical shorts. The shorts are just of their YT studio numerics, on a time-lapse, showing how they gained subs from just posting shorts like these. The biggest problem is that the comment sections are filled with smaller creators who put more effort, who are doing sub for subs which, subs for subs isn’t good because it messes up where the algorithm is supposed to find your natural viewers but…this also supports these shorts by filling it with comments. If anyone sees these shorts, just scroll away, and don’t even leave a hate comment because we don’t want this trend to be fueled.

Interested righty

Hello everyone! Righty here! I keep getting this subreddit in my homepage but I’m not really complaining as is interesting to see how being left-handed creates unique experiences that I never had. I heard a lot of facts about left-handed people, and read some interesting research on preferred handiness. I know that you guys offer a great competitive edge with your element of surprise in baseball and tennis, you have brain variations that we are still trying to understand, and you have been here for centuries.

The “left handers dying early” claim has luckily been debunked, but there is still research out there proving that lefties still have higher injury rates in certain situations.

My question is, have you ever gotten an injury or close call that you were 100% certain was because of something not being made for your handiness?

What was the online fandom like back then?

Hey guys, so I first became a fan of Harley because of BTAS in like 2011 through Netflix on my Wii lol. But I was too young to be on the internet at the time , so my question is what was it like as an Harley Quinn fan online back then? And to open the floor to more stories, I’m just going to say tell me whatever intresting pieces you have to share about your experiences anytime pre the 2016 Suicide Squad movie since that era was much more different than today.
