Press Test 2x24kg

Press Test Day!!
Week 8 Day 2 ABF - ran the program with 20/24kg offsets and tested with 2x24kg bells
Ran the ABC cold with the double 24kg and hit 30 in 28:45

100 presses completed with
2,3,5 scheme (first set 2,3,5,10)
Completed in 25 minutes

10 reps were a grind - and I knew after the first set that I would not be able to get to 100 with a 23510 scheme. Had a few push presses here and there. Overall I’d call it a pass but I can definitely do better.

Suggestions on next program after ABF

Hey y'all - tomorrow is Week 8 of ABF (Press Test!) and planning for a 2 week rest period with probably some more focus on cardio (yay) and dialing down my diet again during that time.

Thinking of what program to run after that two weeks...trying to get some suggestions/ideas.

  1. I'm not confident I'm going to hit the 100 presses tomorrow with 2x24kgs but we'll see. Either way I want to focus a bit more on strengthening the press with the double 24s

  2. I have travel plans at the end of September that will limit my access to any kettlebells and even if I do bring one along, it's going to be a single bell. (but seems like a major hassle since I'm travelling internationally) This would fall around week 4 of any program if I were to start on Sept 7. I am going for a martial arts seminar and meet so I will be active for the better part of the weekend.

Maybe there are some shorter programs that I can maybe start earlier and finish by the time I travel? Any suggestions and ideas appreciated!!

ABC Test Day - Double 24kg

ABC Test Day!!

Ran the ABF with offset 20/24kg this round and tested with double 24kgs.
Total time of 28:45 for 30 rounds
Video shown of Round 1, Round 15, and Round 30.

I honestly had a little more gas left in the tank - could have gone at least 32 rounds, maybe 36 rounds. Looking forward to next week's press test day with the double 24kgs

Double Press - Abs uncomfortable

Wussup everyone! On Week 7 of ABF and I noticed that I've been particularly struggling on the double press so trying to get some feedback. Presses start at the 0:29 second mark, sorry I didn't have the ability to trim the video from the browser.

Currently using 20/24kg offset bells for the ABF, alternating right and left for each 20 total reps. On the reps where I use the 24s on my right side, since last week I'm noticing some pressure on the right side abs that are just too uncomfortable to continue the sets.
This doesn't happen when I have the 24 on my left side, and usually starts to creep up around the 3rd set, so after 40 reps or so.

I'm assuming my form is starting to deteriorate after the reps, and the video shows fresh reps. Next press day is Friday so I'll film the entirety and post again of the sections of where I feel the discomfort (if it happens again), in the meantime any feedback would be appreciated!

Happy Pressing

Fire Tablets?

Been in the market for tablets for our warehouse use - main use it to run webapp that we created in Google App Scripts through Chrome.

We want to keep the budget as tight as possible and Fire Tablets definitely fit the bill for this but for just a simple chrome web app, are the Fire tablets good enough? It would also need to be able to connect an external web cam and connect a bluetooth barcode scanner

Is this really that difficult to achieve?

Hello - I'm not sure if this is where I can get answers but I'm hoping someone can share insight.

BACKGROUND
We run a family business processing seafood (tuna, salmon, etc.) for Japanese restaurants. The business used to be fairly simple (it still is honestly), we buy whole fish, fillet it and sell to restaurants.
We manage the fish and inventory processing old school with notebooks, pen and paper and as we don't have a massive volume, this is still working out on a day to day.
Business also used to be much simpler where we would send fish, restaurants work on the fish on their own and that was it. But with more and more restaurants trying to cut costs (labor) many are starting to ask for more in-depth work to be done to the fish and sell at net weight.
Since returning to the business my goal from day one has been to try and digitize this process of pen and paper and the calculation of yields that have been done in the heads of our staff to be in a system that anyone would be able to follow when looking at our operation from the computer.

CHALLENGES/DILLEMAS
For the longest time we have done everything in Quickbooks Desktop. The problem with accounting software like QB are that it doesn't handle catch weight products like ours well.
The way we OPERATE with fish is that we are always talking in terms of the actual count of the fish. But every fish is a different weight and is purchased and sold per lb. However we do not look at say one salmon and refer to it as 20lbs of salmon. We would refer to it as one salmon (as does our suppliers, customers).
So here comes my dillema and challenge - why is it so difficult for systems to be able to handle QTY UNITS that would have two references?

As in, if I were to send a PO for say 24cs of salmon (2pc/case, 48pc of salmon), I just want to send a PO to my supplier that reads

ITEM # Fresh Salmon 24cs

And when the vendor would send me their invoice with the weight charged, cost per weight and total.
We would then receive that product into the system as the weight and sell by the weight, but the inventory would also show the quantity of the products.
So, if the total weight for the 24cs (48pc) were to be 800lbs (16.7lbs average), and we sold 10pc of fish for a total weight of 180.0lbs (each fish weighs different in reality), I want to be able to see in the system that we have 38pc of fish remaining at 620lbs.

And even if a qty unit can only be one type (lbs is the most important in our case), why would it be difficult for a Purchase Order or a Sales Order to just display in Each Units for the purpose of workflow? The way I understand is that Purchase Orders and Sales Orders are just drafts that can become Bills/Invoices - so I have a hard time understanding why this is so difficult to achieve after talking with and trying so many platforms that claim they have figured out seafood processing and inventory management.

Thank you for reading this much, and appreciate any insight that can be shared

This is the jankiest device I’ve ever built. But it works and has mechanical switches for buttons, so, here ya go.

Based on ESP32 S3, and put together with whatever parts I had in a drawer.

Now, I’d like your help with it.
How do I improve the alignment on the keys?
And how do I even start to design a 3D printed case for this?

Planning to run ES4FL and I got a question, rather seeking advice on the structure.

I can train fasted in the morning when I get into work, but I won't be able to go for a walk after that. I can definitely go for a walk after the workout after I finish work but I will not be fasted.
So, which should I be prioriting for the workout? The fasted training or the walk immediately after?

I also would add that the morning workouts can easily get derailed and interupted vs. the afternoon is guaranteed that I am unbothered. So right now the plan is to train in the afternoon like I have always had and train semi-fasted (usually about 3 hours after my last meal).
