An Honest Review: the AF Nexus Pro X2

Just picked up this blaster a few days ago, and there are super good things about it, and other more annoying things that may not be particularly satisfactory during a competitive event or just normal play.

This blaster is basically a reshell of a Nexus Pro X, which is already an amazing springer primary for 50$ that clocks in 200 fps out of the box. The X2 is somewhat of a refreshed version of the X, with exactly the same performance but with new cosmetic changes to the outer shell of the blaster. Also it's worth mentioning the X2 is 35$, which makes it even more accessible to all of you guys on a budget!

This hot pink, white and dark grey color scheme is undeniably awesome, I'm sure there are a lot of people out there that would love to have a pink blaster with competitive use. Now, not everyone likes the color pink (myself included) and I get that. But this thing looks amazing, feels amazing and performs amazing. So if you buy this blaster, rock that pink!

For a more glaring issue, the main difference between the X2 and the X is the foregrip. The X2 now has a pump-style foregrip, instead of the angled one on the previous iteration. This grip is, without a doubt, a nightmare of a choice for a high powered blaster. It's not very ergonomic, it's slippery and I struggle to prime even with the lowest power spring option. Honestly, I would just change the stock foregrip for Worker's angled one, because it's pretty hard to prime the X2 with the stock foregrip, and I can't imagine doing it with sweaty hands.

Another issue that can be annoying is just how ridiculously heavy the trigger is. I play tested this blaster in my local comp games and my whole hand was hurting at the end of the day. If you're just playing casually then it's not much of a problem, but if you're firing for two straight hours, then your trigger finger will not have a great time. So if there is some fix or anything that could help, please share it down below.

This blaster unfortunately does not include the BCAR that came with the X, and honestly it doesn't affect much, even tho BCARs are way better than PCARs, it's still pretty accurate and reliable. It also doesn't include the little plastic scope thing and comes instead with some iron sights, which are somewhat hard to get to align because you have to smush your face against the cheek rest.

For 35$, this is a dream blaster for anyone getting into the high performance nerf scene, and I highly recommend you consider this one and keep it in the mix. I chronoed mine and it hit on average 206 fps out of the box, and it can fare well against the fan-favs like the Seagull, breacher and harrier.

My first honest attempt at blue ink drawing

Was bored yesterday and just grabbed a ballpoint and started drawing. The neck proportions are a bit wonky but the body's alright.

Got back on the bandwagon! Any optics you guys recommend?

Returned to Nerf after a big long while! The best one they had was a Nexus X2 in pink, so it's the best with the worst skin 😭. Still a frickin powerhouse of a blaster! Now looking for a good optic to replace the cheap iron sights.

A cool Lovecraftian-like Backrooms book!

Found this on Amazon and enjoyed it immensely! I loved the story and themes, and I hope this guy publishes a sequel to it!

What's your favorite pick?

Mine is the D'Addario Nylpro 1.4 jazz pick. I use it mostly for metal and djenting, but it also allows me to shred with precision and no give. It's literally a solid chunk of pick!
