How to pretend to be happy for expecting parents? Or at the very least not be unintentionally rude?

My entire family says they agree with the antinatalist ideals, like we have conversations earnestly. And yet when an extended family member or friend gets pregnant, they say to just act happy and say you're happy they're happy. I just cannot do this at all. I even just say "oh cool!" or "wow! that's new, life's changing huh?" like just basic stuff

Especially when I know their family is financially struggling. Or if they have chronic illnesses or conditions they'll spread.

Or even at work, a customer was a 20 something kid and he said "im gonna be a dad!" my stomach dropped. He was my age and his dad was pumping his gas for him. and he was ESTATIC? I wanted to mourn for him but i just said "woah! Busy night!" but im starting to not know what else to say. I hate being rude outright but i also dont want to lie about being happy for them.

edit: am I getting down voted for some mysterious reason or are there pre-natalist hate-viewing

No matter how happy I am I cannot find meaning or worth in life or anything around me. I just need to be more thankful i guess.

It's worse when you realize she raised me and knows about the fact I've been suicidal since age 9. Nothing matters and I can't even do what I want because of the bullshit that gets in my way. that doesn't matter but also somehow matters so so so much.

How can I be happy knowing about all of the suffering in the world happening to innocent people?

The title is the tl;dr, but everytime I'm happy I am either reminded of or think of all the harm in the world. People abusing animals daily and torturing them, same with children. The rapist, the racists, homophobes, religious extremists killing people because of who they love. Sexism and violence, just, everything! How can anyone be happy with that? I can't push it out of my head. Ever

Frys initial Cyrogenic freezing

The only reason I ask is because the writers have stated they strived for scientific accuracy and said they hated cutting corners for the sake of entertainment. https://www.aps.org/apsnews/2010/05/the-futurama-of-physics-with-david-x-cohen

Edit: I'm also not being nitpickey I just know the staff are incredible, and have 3 Phd, 7 masters, and most went to Harvard; and have said they wanted to be scientifically accurate. I don't care if it is or is not I'm just curious

LET ME KNOW IF THE WRITERS HAVE ALREADY ADDRESSED THIS OR IF I MISSED AN EPISODE! PROVE ME WRONG :D

Fry is frozen in 1999, the way he is cyrogenically prepared isn't at all what it actually is.

In 1967, Professor James Bedford froze himself in liquid nitrogen and was packed with ice, frozen solid, while an artifical heart massage valve kept the brain from decaying from oxygen loss. His blood was replaced with antifreeze, and he is legally declared dead, but is preserved with high hopes.

It's usually done when someone is already dead. He died from a cardiac arrest, and Fry was alive when he fell into a (presumably) liquid nitrogen chamber? Also, his blood would have formed ice crystals along with everything else.

My best guess is that they had found a way to revive people who were frozen in a primative fashion by 2100 right?

I posted them when I found them behind an ice chest on some trash. I got them out! Flapped their wings pretty hard for a while then flew off.

Spider Lover AND Arachnophobic! :(

I love and Appreciate spiders so much, and they're so cute up close too. I don't need to convince you guys how cool they are but point is , when I see them unexpectedly or the ones that are super long and thin (Cellar spiders especially) I immediately get scared and physically react. But I still like them, so much! I know exposure is the best way to get over it, but when I get startled or see one in my room or too close to me unexpectedly, I get incredibly spooked, and freak myself out thinking if I got bit by a venomous friend

I say this as I have one living in my bathroom LOL. I'm a very hypocritical person

How do you 'take it one day at a time'?

I've been trying to get better for months, years now actually, and I've made very very little progress. I do truly believe I can get better one day and have seen some progress, but that has taken *20 years* to see any progress, and I'm 21. My mental health has been deteriorated since 9, and the 'positive side' of life has only been in my relm of possibilities recently.

Everyone says to take it one day at a time but, what does that even mean? There really isn't much I *can* fix in one day or even focus on that only takes one day, and everything that I can isn't really much of anything. Like yeah I can do the dishes today, but that doesn't mean I won't tomorrow. It's not feasible to NEVER think about the future. And I try to see the positive in everything, and I try not to let things get me down too much if it's not important. I even deleted every social media (except reddit, which is recent. I usually only browsed some meme subreddits)

I truly want to get better and to be a more positive person despite my treatment resistant MDD, my PTSD, and everything else I won't list here. I try to be happy at my job despite getting cussed out every day, insulted, threatened, disrespected, I always tell myself they're just having a bad day, everyone's in a tough spot, it's not personal. It's like my subconscious is a completely different entity than me and refuses to understand. I'm already in therapy and on tons of medication, and I do yoga and meditation everyday, and I'm quite active with the O.T.O. I've Been trying to "fake it till I make it" but I can only fake it so much before I forget who I am.

I've been trying to detach myself from the ego, trying to understand who I truly am and what I am truly supposed to do, what I'm here to do. But it's been stagnant for years. I published a book, I've contributed to community science projects, I took care of my elderly family member until she died next to me, i have pets, I don't let myself go into spirals and I keep it under control, but when I look in the mirror and try to tell myself I'm happy, this is it, I'm FINALLY getting better, life finds a way to remind me that I can pretend, but it's never going to actually be happy. I'm a transvestite and a homosexual, which adds to this, as my rights are constantly on the edge of being dissolved into thin air. None of my family seems to understand this, and I caught my uncle saying that trans people are pedophiles. I wish I could go to them for more help but I'm already mooching off them for cheap rent, which I feel very thankful but also greedy for.

I'm working towards an astronomy degree because it's my passion, and I study even in the summer, but I actually ended up failing a class for the very first time ever, and it was also the first time I felt super confident in myself. Like, I seriously thought it was the best day of my life I was so confident, it was a unique feeling. It was like I understood why people wanted to wake up in the morning, for once.

People are lying when they say "it never gets better" or 'this is life',, right? I won't always be stressed about bills or my job or school, right? I just want to be happy with myself and my life. I don't want to be super rich or, honestly even own a house. I'd like to own my car but cheap payments is fine. I can't even move out of the country because I have not even 200 in my account at any given time.

How can I lie to myself until I truly believe that I will be happy?
