Saw she dropped the price, figure 125 was worth the risk. She let it go for 120. I think i got a good deal

I was shopping for a 8GB GPU for a kid looking to upgrade… I had to grab this for myself. I was able to bring a test bench and confirm temps and no artificafting runs smooth (I’ll be doing a thermal job)
Edit: Got a local 6600 for $150, and Amazon’d a MB for 70. We are able to to stick to the budget!
(Truth be told… I picked up a 6700XT tonight on local for $100, so I upgraded my neice who had the 6600 I got her for 145 a few months back, so it was me… I was the local for the 6600 lol)
Local is 79423 / Lubbock, TX.
I’m helping a local kid upgrade his current PC on a really tight budget.
Current system:
Motherboard is the priority.
Looking for an AM4 board with:
We’re also looking for a GPU upgrade at the same time. It needs to be a meaningful step up from the GTX 1650 SUPER.
GPU wants:
A motherboard + GPU combo would be ideal.
$300 shipped is the target for the motherboard + GPU combo.
I’m helping him out with the upgrade, so for the right deal I’m personally willing to kick in another $50, putting the absolute max at $350 shipped.
Not looking for anything fancy cosmetically — just reliable hardware that can give him a worthwhile upgrade without blowing his budget.
Please comment before PM.
PayPal G&S only.
**Edit, we could entertain a CPU/MC combo upgrade
I picked up this riser cable/vertical mount with a case I used for a commission build… it’s a PCIe x16 4.0 @ x16 4.0 riser cable. It works in the OD11 case and H6 Flow Case. Does not work in the V100 V100 mini cases.
I stuck it in my build to see if it would work in my case… and I kind of like the look… I was thinking of listing it/selling it for price+Shipping.
This 7900XTX does look intimidating with the subtle red around the Center fans mounted this way

Hey! I’m trying to help a friend get a build together. We already have the smaller parts, and now we’re looking for the three remaining big-ticket items.
Our remaining budget is a firm $605 total, so we need to stay fairly close to the targets below. Finding all three items from one person would be ideal because combined shipping would give us more room to work with. Otherwise, we’re hoping each item can be shipped near the listed price.
GPU: $300 shipped
Hoping for an RX 6800, RX 6800 XT, or better.
32GB DDR5: $225 shipped
A good-speed matched 2x16GB kit is preferred. RGB is not required, but it would be nice.
1TB NVMe SSD: $80 shipped
PCIe Gen3 or Gen4. CrystalDiskInfo showing 90% health or better.
If we overspend in one category, the budget for another item has to be reduced.
Payment will be through PayPal Goods & Services.

**Updare: he pulled the classic fb marketplace, and sold it, not even a chance, I would of gone higher it**
I’m hoping that my time has finally come… it looks like he’s added another 32gb kit as he (misspelled 64gb)
Got some Gen 2 fans from an aio of the second hand market. Couldn’t run them as the cable didn’t come with them except the extension cable. After about a week and not hearing from support (sent a request/inquiry to buy one) I found the pin out, sacrificed an old Fan, and pulled the soldering iron and and built my own… I did forget to put the shrink wrap before I soldered though 😅
I just started doing this to help hide some of the harder cables like rear fans and aio pumps running the cables through the rear io heatsink
I wasn’t planning on building a white PC, I already have two systems that are ready to list for sale.
I originally just needed a motherboard to test a Lian Li Galahad 360 AIO that I had flushed, rebuilt, and brought back to life. Once I saw the black-and-white contrast of the pump & Ran against the white Steel Legend board, I couldn’t resist building around it.
I already had most of the parts. The CPU and RAM came from a commission build that won’t be paid until the end of the summer, so I temporarily borrowed them for this project. And will replace those parts as the summer closes.
The motherboard was another fun project. I picked it up locally with bent socket pins, repaired it, and got it fully working again. It was also missing all of the M.2 heatsinks, so I sourced the black heatsinks from an X870 Riptide, swapped them over, and debranded them to fit the black-and-white theme.
The only thing left is figuring out why MSI Center refuses to cooperate so I can change the GPU lighting.
Sometimes the best-looking builds are the ones that were never supposed to exist.
