Job market

As someone who graduated not even 6 weeks ago it is a tough market. Employers are asking 3-5 years experience + bachelors for an entry level role at $20hr if that. Not to forget the ghost job issue where companies are reposting the same job listing weekly/monthly and soaking up resumes to trash them and waste peoples time creating an account, uploading their resume, retyping their entire resume on their site, behavior assessment, WOTC, are you a veteran? and finally are you disabled on every application. It's tiring 😂

I'm not having luck in the entry level pre degree roles as those also require 2 years of experience for the same pay. How long will this misery last?

Graduate Job Hunt

Entry level does not mean 3-5 years experience for entry level pay. This is wild, tell me how companies expect to pay below entry level wages and require a 4 year degree + 3-5 years experience.

Done 9 years as security want to transition to Accounting with no experience.

My previous resume had more security work with relevant fields that would count towards accounting. Is this a better path to put more emphasis on my coursework than irrelevant armed security work when trying to change fields to a staff accountant/auditor/tax role? Do you think I should rewrite the resume again?

Applied, Got interview next day, Felt like they liked me, Rejection email 90 minutes later

I applied to a entry level staff accountant role that had 0 experience required. I got the interview the next day and it went well I felt like they liked what I could bring to the table as someone who just graduated college. Boom, rejected 90 minutes after the interview was concluded. Later that week the hiring manager emails me again asking about an interview like nothing happened.

I respond and she saya

"Oops my bad, didn't mean to send that."

The next week the company had 2 more positions up with the same role. I get the idea I dodged a bullet here. Because something felt off about the entire thing this is a major casino operator in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Recently graduated

How long does it take to get that first job? I've noticed many of these "entry level" statff accountant roles require 3-5 years experience which is insane to require that and pay 0 year experience. I am going on week 6 of 100 resumes sent out and only 4 interviews with no callbacks.

Interesting to see departments are moving away from Dodge Chargers to the Mustang GT.

Pilot program to increase surveillance on drivers

Red light cameras were banned by law for a specfic reason and what good is a camera system when people without plates are allowed to drive unrestricted.
