It was interesting to see Hal using different tactics to get what he wants.

At first, on the football field, he tried to use his job title to interrogate the suspect, but it didn’t work.

Then he tried to get himself into a jail cell by making a scene in a bar, but that didn’t work either.

Then he used his charm to get to the sheriff.

It shows how experienced he is.

I honestly thought she would teach her the basics about where babies come from.

I was disappointed when she didn’t and explained that some dude saved her.

I feel like the scene where Michael supported Ryan but also persuaded him to sell his company kind of breaks his character. At that moment, he was wiser, kinder, and more loyal than any of the other characters in The Office.

Why is the movie so refreshing?

I watched it recently, and I thought it was really good and refreshing. But when my wife asked me what I found so refreshing about it, I couldn’t come up with a clear answer. If you think about it, all of the movie’s main elements belong to well-established subgenres: be careful what you wish for, possession, and the dangerously obsessive yandere girlfriend. Yet somehow, the movie still feels fresh and original. Why is that? Is it because it blends those subgenres together so well?

One of the most brilliant aspects of John Wick is its power scaling.

Even though John Wick is the best and strongest hitman in that universe, the series shows that he’ll eventually be killed by a bunch of goons if he doesn’t get any support, because his stamina and ammo are limited. Many works of fiction low-key ignore this aspect, making the existence of those goons feel pointless.

How would comic-book Batman react to other vigilantes in Gotham who aren’t part of the Bat-Family?

Let’s say these vigilantes have no connection to Batman, but they follow the same rules: no killing, only targeting criminals, and sometimes breaking the law. Would he give them a thumbs-up, or would he kick their asses like he does with other criminals?

What makes James Bond such an attractive character?

According to Robert McKee, James Bond is attractive because his outward traits contradict his inner nature.

“Bond enjoys playing the lounge lizard: dressed in a tuxedo, he graces posh parties, a cocktail glass dangling from his fingertips as he chats up beautiful women. But then story pressure builds, and Bond’s choices reveal that underneath his lounge lizard exterior is a thinking man’s Rambo.”

I’m not sure that’s the essence of what makes Bond such an attractive character. What do you think?

I still can’t understand why they skipped the whole Kree war in The Marvels.

Captain Marvel wasn’t the best movie, but it laid the groundwork for her arc perfectly. She had an enemy, her people to save, a final boss, and everything was set up. There were so many opportunities to show her character growth and how badass she is during a difficult war.

But they skipped all of that and went in a completely different direction. It ended up becoming one of Marvel’s biggest box office flops.

What does the TVA do now?

Before Loki, the TVA’s purpose was to erase every timeline except the Sacred Timeline. After Loki, its purpose changed to stopping Kang. But now Kang is presumably gone. So what does the TVA do now?

I wonder what actually happened. Was it just marketing, or did something change after James Gunn said the Supergirl script was one of the best he’d ever read?

The One Piece remake trailer is out. What is stopping a Naruto remake?

It would be amazing to see Naruto without filler episodes, with improved animation and graphics.

Let’s say Batman loses all his money and needs to start from zero. Could he become a billionaire again using only his own skills and abilities?

In DCU, do you think Batman should use a jetpack to fly, since even Lex Luthor’s average goons have one, or should other heroes carry him whenever necessary?

If Batman can fight gods with enough prep time, why is Gotham City still the worst city in the world?

In 2024, a Korean woman posted a YouTube video about how she terminated her pregnancy at 36 weeks. At first, the hospital claimed that the baby was already dead when it was delivered, but the police later found that the baby had been born alive and was then placed in a freezer until it died.
