How long was baby fussy with formula change?

Weve introduced hipp organic to our baby as he is currently on aptamil pepti 1 but we don't think he has cmpa.

Weve done it slowly with 1oz for a day then 2oz for a day were on day 2 and hes extremely uncomfortable, being sick more and crying and writhing a lot. I know it takes a while for them to adjust to new formula but does anyone have any experience? How long should increased fussiness last?

How to make sure baby eats enough

Our baby has just started sleeping longer stretches at night (he's 16 weeks actual age but 11 weeks adjusted as he was 5 weeks prem) he surpassed birth weight very quickly and is gaining weight well.

However as he is now 'skipping' a bottle due to sleep we are struggling to meet the same volume during the day. He won't really take more than his usual amount. Any advice?

At a loss! Challenging diagnosis?

Baby has had mucusy stool since about 2 weeks old, bad silent reflux and gas. Was breastfed until switching to ha formula at 10 weeks. Currently on omeprazole and aptamil pepti. Tried nutramigen and alfamino both made symptoms worse.

Im not convinced he has cmpa at all as pepti has only decreased mucus but all other symptoms still there. He was 5 weeks early and had antibiotics at birth so I think his gut was impacted by that.

In 2 weeks we're going to trial a dairy formula to see if he has any reaction under guidande from his paediatric gastro. Any recommendations on which formula to try, goat, comfort, AR?

Stopping pumping

Ive been reducing my pumping schedule over the last 3 weeks and haven't pumped in 24 hours, I have some slight pain in one side and my breasts definitely still have milk in but arent engorged. My nipples are also a darker colour like they go when I pump? Is this normal and should I carry on pumping until I dont get any milk or just leave it now will the milk just go?

Aptamil Pepti 1

Our son is 13 weeks amd since about 3 weeks has had mucusy poo and bad silent reflux. I tried dairy free diet when breastfeeding and it made no difference so switched to exclusively formula feeding aptamil pepti 1. He's been on it over 2 weeks now and it doesn't seem to have made any difference. He's on omeprazole which is helping the acid but when he missed a dose it was right back to normal so the formula isn't helping the underlying issue. I know 2 weeks isn't that long but surely we would see some difference by now? He's been dairy free for almost 8 weeks.

Im not even convinced he has CMPA but as the formula has stopped the mucus does that confirm it?

Omeprazole purple sick

Has anyone elses baby had purple sick on omeprazole ? His peadeatric doctor said its just the coating but it's only randomly started happening since yesterday. Ive noticed since its happened he has acid/the omeprazole doesn't seem to be working. He is on 5mg twice a day of the tablet which we dissolve in water.

Is it CMPA

My son was born 5 weeks early and is now 11 weeks actual age. He was on breastmilk (mainly) and kendamil (top up usually once a day) since birth. He has always had mild reflux and mucus in his stool. He hasn't had any skin problems or rashes and has always gained weight really well.

Decided to cut dairy 4 weeks ago and exclusively breastfeed, since then everyday he has gotten progressively worse and his acid reflux at the moment is awful. I know it can take 4 to 6 weeks for dairy to leave their system but I barely ate dairy anyway and is it normal to just get worse and worse? Apparently he doesn't have tongue tie but did have significant issues latching which caused gas and reflux so I pumped his milk.

We tried nutramigen and he just threw it up and screamed and gaviscon didn't work. Im really not convinced he has CMPA and want to try him on a normal formula again as im sure hes just intolerant to multiple things in my breastmilk (but not dairy), any similar experiences?

Not convinced of MSPI

Baby is 9 weeks old, born preterm at 35 weeks. Initially poos were normal and seedy but became mucusy after about 3 weeks. Only other symptom is silent reflux. He is fed expressed breastmilk.

Ive cut dairy for the last 2 weeks and its made no difference, if anything he seems worse and is now constipated. Weve been given nutramigen as they suspect cmpa but im not convinced it is and want to try baby on a normal formula instead. An similar experiences?

Is it CMPA

My baby was born at 35 weeks and stools were initially seedy and normal. From about 3 weeks they became quite mucusy but no blood that we could see. He doesnt have any eczema and is gaining weight really well. He does have silent reflux and sometimes trapped gas.

Ive been eliminating dairy for the past week but his reflux seems to be worse and his stool has changed to watery with some mucus. One of our peds doesnt think its cmpa but one does. Any thoughts? Pic attached of mucus nappy prior to cutting dairy

I loved reading these stories when pregnant so sharing mine for anyone on progesterone only.

Took 400mg of progesterone twice a day my whole pregnancy.

Cervix measured 2.5cm at 16 weeks.

Attempted cerclage at 19 weeks but failed due to previous surgeries on cervix. Was told we may not make it to 24 weeks.

At 22 weeks cervix measured 1.5cm (no funnelling and remained closed)

At 25 weeks had a bleed and a positive FFN test.

Another positive actim partus test at 27 weeks. Both of those tests say you are very likely to go into labour within 2 weeks.

Cervix shortened to 0.9mm at 35 weeks and due to baby being transverse with cord presenting we had a c section.

Cervix held strong on progesterone from 22 weeks to 35 and we had our beautiful baby boy !! :)

I did modified bedrest from 20 weeks, mainly just sat at incline as much as possible and chilled indoors other than hospital appointments.

Our baby was born early at 35 weeks. He is currently 8 weeks old and weighs 9lb1, hes taking 90ml per bottle but always wants more. We were told by our doctor we are overfeeding him as he does sometimes have reflux, and he should have around 70ml per bottle based on their calculations and to reduce his feeds. When we do he screams for more food, eats his hands, won't settle etc.

Other doctors have told us to follow cues and feed if hungry ignoring strict guidance. We do try to settle all other ways before giving more food. He is fed with pumped breastmilk only.

Anyone had similar situation?
