After losing approximately how many kilos do you usually need to go down a clothing size? And after how many kilos of weight loss do you really start to notice that your clothes are fitting more loosely?
How long does it usually take, on average, to feel the effects of starting levothyroxine? How long did it take for you?

What was your TSH level before your thyroid issues were taken seriously and you were started on medication?

My doctor won’t help me
My TSH levels have been elevated for more than five years. My entire family has Hashimoto’s, and I also have all the typical symptoms, such as weight gain, heart palpitations, and extreme fatigue. My doctor doesn’t want to do anything about it because they believe my body might still regulate it on its own, even though this has been abnormal for more than five years and it keeps getting worse and worse.
(I keep getting around a 7 and our scale in my country is between a 0 and 4)
Does levothyroxine actually helps you lose weight?
reddit.comHard time losing weight
:
I honestly just don’t understand it at all. Before this, I ate relatively normally, but I did often eat whatever I felt like. Chips, sandwiches, pasta, etc. I also didn’t exercise much and averaged around 6,000 steps a day. Now, for the past three weeks, I’ve been getting 10,000 steps every day, working out 3 to 4 times a week, and tracking my calories while eating 1,500 calories a day. I’m 1.60 m tall and I have thyroid problems, so I understand that losing weight may be more difficult for me than for someone else. But how can I go from eating relatively normally to following a fairly strict diet and exercising more, and still remain at exactly the same weight???
I do have a smart scale, and it says that I’ve gained 0.6 kg of muscle and lost 0.6 kg of fat, so maybe that explains it? But I’m so frustrated. It feels like I’m working so hard for nothing.
I hate my body Uhg
