Bad perm?

I don’t know I just need to wait a while for this to work itself out or if I really didn’t get what I wanted.

I went in for a perm asking for a very specific style. The lady who does my hair has done it for years and she kept saying “ trust me, trust me, just trust the process , I’m a master stylist and I’ve been doing your hair for years” I feel like she did my curls to tight and they look a mess. Idk how to even style this. Perm was done last Friday.

Do I just wait it out or did she do the wrong size curls?

Pic 1 is what I wanted, 2 and 3 is what I got.

New to nutrition- what do you think of this smoothie

I’ve decided to take my life back and work on me this year. Starting with health. I do some food prep but I also have weird food icks so prepping salads and veggies isnt always optimal for me and due to my work schedule I rarely have time to make lunch and dinner. So I decided to try the smoothie way to see if I can at least get some nutrients into my day.

1c unsweetened almond milk.
1c spinach
1c kale
1/2 c frozen avocado
1/2c frozen mango (to help with the taste)
1tsp spirulina
1tsp turmeric with black pepper
1scoop unflavored isolate whey protein powder
1tsp nutritional yeast.

Tomorrow I might try banana instead of mangoes, it still tastes like wet grass but if it’s going to add to my nutrition I can do this. Also just to add I am doing a moderately low carb diet, no sugar and adequate protien.

Jack letting us know he’s ok.

Our family dog passed away back in February. He was 17 years old. We only had him 4 of those years as he wandered over to our house on 4th of July during a storm scared to death and begging to be let in. Our 1 year old dog at the time immediately brought him a toy and they were completely relaxed with each other. So we let him stay the weekend.

Monday we took him to get scanned and to the shelter hoping someone would come get him. We did everything we could to locate an owner. Chip said he was adopted in a SC shelter in 2010 at 1.5 years old. No one came to get him and no one entered the lottery for him so my husband went back and got him. As soon as Jack saw my husband his face lit up and he did a tippy toe dance. They have been best friends since that day .Jack loved everyone and everything. He always had a smile on his face and he loved his walks. Nothing bothered him, not the rabbits , squirrels or raccoons we saw daily. But if he saw a turtle he would immediately go after it and try and flip it. Once it was flipped he was satisfied and walked away. ( we always turned them back over and always tried to prevent him from doing it). We aren’t sure why he was like that with turtles.

He passed away in February this year of cancer. We decided to spread his ashes in a favorite spot on one of our trails. We both said our goodbyes and even our other dog ( his sister) seemed to know what was going on because she was low key whining and very patient while we said our goodbyes. We were done and my husband stepped back and fell over…………there was a turtle that came out of nowhere and was watching what we were doing. What was weird about it was that in 9 years of walking those trails I have never ever seen a turtle, and I haven’t seen one since.

We think Jack was sending us a message, letting us know he’s still with us. We miss him every day and I hope he is happy wherever he is tipping over all the turtles he wants.

Bougie travel dogs

Took the girls from Florida to Chicago for a week. They handled the trip like champs. They loved the hotels and Fiona even picked out her own bed. I just hope I didn’t create travel monsters.

Frozen marrow bones for dogs

Anyone know where we can get frozen marrow bones for the dogs? We are going to be visiting next week with our dogs and this is a major must have for them.

Thanks.

Dogs place in the kitchen

We are renovating our kitchen to remove all the 1960’s era cabinets and floors and I’ve got a wall I couldn’t really do much with so I made it a spot for the dogs.

New ball fun

Got a new ball ( and a back up just in case) she’s supper obsessed and so far we are 2 hours into owning it and it hasn’t popped. I didn’t inflate it all the way because I was afraid it would go flying into the Nieghbors yard and we have a whole new set of issues because she will sit at the fence and won’t move until it’s returned .
