I’ve been playing adopt me since 2019, coming up on 7 years (I think, I can’t do math). I have played every event since the 2019 halloween event. Sure i’ve had a few minor complaints here and there but i’ve never attended an update that i’ve been like “ugh this really sucks”. The summer updates are one of my most looked forward to updates every year. They’ve had some really good ones, especially the state fair (IMO) so I had some higher expectations for this. The first week was rough but I was like okay there’s many more weeks to go it will get better, well it’s week 3 and I like it even less. I’m a mobile player which has made it increasingly harder to do. I have no idea why there’s no scheduled mini games, they had an opportunity to do some cute camping themed mini games and what we got is just not that.

I know this update was likely an effort to stop bots but I called this months ago that any efforts to stop bots would only result in regular players (especially kids) struggling, and do nothing to harm bots. Adopt me isn’t going to stop the bots, they will make new scripts and find new work arounds. At the end of the day bots are a roblox problem that most popular games face. Anyways I am a grown woman who’s got nothing but time this summer and the fact that i’m struggling tells me a lot. Since it’s summer most kids have much more free time, the player count should realistically be much higher than it is, especially considering yes, a good chunk of players are bots at the moment. I’ve supported this game for many years and i’m incredibly disappointed. I don’t even mind the atmosphere being a lil fall ish vibes, I actually kinda liked that, I really just want better ways to earn acorns that give you a decent amount, is fun, is fair to mobile players, and the normal mini games and cute pets (some of the pets are cute don’t get me wrong, love the otters) but I think this majorly missed the mark, like big time.

I’m hoping if enough people voice their criticism the last few weeks of this event will turn around and be a fun time again. With all due respect I hope the summer isn’t wasted on this lackluster update. Anyways that’s all, just my opinion, if you’ve read this and don’t agree that’s totally fine I just appreciate anyone reading!

Hi! I’m 19f, but i’ll be turning 20 this month! Just trying this out to see if i get lucky!! I currently live on the northern east coast but in about 1.5-2 years i’ll most likely be moving down to florida. I’m currently going to college for criminal justice.

Some things i’m looking for! Emotional availability, decent communication skills and preferably close to my age since i’m not much into big age gaps. A lil clingy is a plus around here. And you must like cats, I have two who are basically my kids so that’s a non negotiable.

The numerous panicked posts here every day from people who knew/suspect things such as pick a door, spin the wheel, yt channels, trust trades ext are scams yet still do them because they’re so blinded by the potential “reward” are beginning to drive me insane. I always try to help out the hacked people with advice but i’m sorry if you willingly went along with a trust trade for example there’s no way you didn’t at least suspect this could be a little suspicious. Now you’re expecting the adopt me team to fix your mistake. I’d say most of us here have been scammed likely at least once, and yes it sucks, BUT at the end of the day that little screen that says hey u could be getting scammed, are u sure? is supposed to serve as a warning to make you think again so most of the fallen for scams with all due respect are on you. Once again this doesn’t apply to all cases just some of the ones mentioned. And yes scammers are scum I feel like that goes without saying.

On that same topic, if you willingly do a trade that is either a loss at the time or at a later date OR that you just generally regret, you weren’t scammed. Accusing innocent people of scamming you when all they did was accept a win trade or worse, reporting an innocent person in attempt to get them banned is seriously messed up. If you use values, the responsibility to check those values on your chosen site prior to making a trade is your responsibility.

Again this isn’t meant to offend anyone i’m really just ranting because this is driving me insane, and I had someone accuse me of scamming recently after the pet they traded me started rising and they wanted it back so that also probably fueled my frustration. I’m sure there’s people who agree but if not that’s totally okay! And please do educate yourself on all the different types of scams and hacks, there’s numerous posts outlining the different ones, how they work and how to avoid them.

And remember if it seems too good to be true, it probably is.

Starting today around 2pm I noticed a beeping sound coming from outside my window. Kinda similar like a big truck backing up because that’s what i initially thought it was but it’s three loud beeps, pauses for two seconds, and then another three beeps, repeat. It’s now 10pm and this god damn beeping is still going non stop! I went outside to try and track it down and it sounds like it may be coming from the dumpster that they so nicely located directly outside my window so it’s nice and loud. I can’t sleep and i’m beginning to think i’m going to go insane, is there anything other than dumpster diving I can do?
I’m tempted to call my apartments 24/7 line at this point.

Hey, kinda a confusing title i think but i’ll explain. I’ll be 20 next month and i’ve had chronic abdominal pain since I was about 14. I keep having more strange issues but no one can say if it’s related or not. Anyways I’ve been to many doctors, had many tests, and tried different medications but the tests come back all good and the meds do nothing, it partially feels like everything’s gaslighting me at this point if i’m being honest. I’m partially fatigued from the constant hopeless tests and doctors and partially from the pain itself. But it’s starting to really make it hard to even have the energy to talk to people. Everyone. Friends, family, acquaintances, you name it. I’ve been talking to friends less and less and upon my attempt to explain I just don’t have it in me anymore no one seems to get it. I always get something along the lines of “well i have stuff going on too but I still talk/hang out with you?”. I’m always tired and it feels like everyone but my longest and closest friend just doesn’t get it or honestly doesn’t care but that could just be me thinking people don’t care when they simply just don’t understand.

This is probably more of a vent than anything else but i’m assuming i’m not the only one who feels like/ experiences this so someone here might actually understand or relate. That’s really all so thank you if you read this.

I have this neighbor that i’ve had a few problems with now. This is kinda an advice needed + venting post.

Said neighbor is a nice(ish) lady in her 40s and she has four kids, one’s a toddler, two are around 10-12 and one that’s around my age (19). My mother had stopped by my place the other day to help me fix something and this neighbor stopped her when she was leaving to ask her about setting me up with her son. My mom tried to tell her I likely wouldn’t be interested but i’m not entirely sure she got the point. I’ve since been stopped by her son 4 times this week for short but awkward conversations. He invited me to his apartment which I declined and rather directly told him I am not interested, sorry!

His mom lives across the hall from me and they seem to keep track of when I come and go from my place which feels slightly creepy, but I now quietly try to slip in and out. I’m home most of the day so i’ve had multiple knocks on my door from them which I didn’t answer. She’s now tried to send the two kids that are around 10-12 to my apartment to play with my cat. I told them he isn’t cool with kids and i’m not comfortable with essentially babysitting her kids. At this point I was getting irritated because I can’t even go do laundry without one of them stopping me for one reason or another so I may have been a little less polite than I was before but it STILL HASN’T STOPPED!

Today I was once again stopped by the son who was trying to get my phone number, which I declined but I have no idea what to say to get them to leave me alone. I’m not the best with knowing what to say in situations and they’re genuinely starting to make me feel a lil uncomfortable. I don’t want to say something that makes the situation worse so dear god anyone help me i’m at the end of my rope with these people. Thank you for any advice!

So i am trying to trade my giant panda. The one thing I really want in the offer is a neon alley cat, so I had made a post of that on multiple trading sites. This guy offers me a cryptid and a neon alley and I was so excited because that was like a perfect offer for me since I traded my cryptid and would love one again. So ofc I add him, we join a game, he goes to add the pets and as he adds them he asks me like what did I trade for the giant panda anyways and as i was typing he swaps the cryptid to a dog, like the og normal dog. He said in chat “accept accept accept” before i even finished typing out what I traded for the panda. I was literally like what the heck and said “dude r u kidding me that’s a DOG” and he left immediately. I was just sat there wondering how stupid he thinks I am and i’m still annoyed but it is what it is.

Moral of the story don’t accept trades without double checking and screw him lol.

I noticed shortly after moving in (about a month ago) that as soon as you opened the door to my section of the building the hallway smelled like a dirty litter box. I grew up with family who had clay litter that was rarely cleaned so I immediately knew it was THAT smell (iykyk). Im not sure how many cats they have but I believe it’s 3, possibly 4. Well over the past month it’s gotten stronger, and stronger, and stronger that when i’m trying to open my apartment door i’m holding my breath. I also have a cat and am extremely attentive about his litter box so he’s now clearly irritated about the smell coming from under our door (i’m unsure if he’s irritated with the other cat smell or the dirty litter box smell) but their apartment is RIGHT across the hall from me so i’m now concerned that if this smell continues to get worse it’s going to eventually seep into my apartment and i’m going to be able to smell it all the time. I’m also slightly worried people will think the smell is coming from me since I take my cat in and out more often therefore most people likely know I have a cat but might not know they do. (That’s not my main concern tho)

I considered talking to them about it but have no idea how to approach the subject. I definitely think they have more cats than you’re allowed (2) since i know i’ve seen th carrying in and out at least three different colored cats but id feel awful if I got their cats removed or something. Tho management is very relaxed so I doubt they would care about an extra cat. Should I talk to them? Talk to management? Leave a note? Please let me know what you would do or what I should do, thank you.

Hiii! I’m 19f, soon to be 20 and i’m from the east coast (usa). I got out of a long term relationship a bit ago and lost a good amount of friends due to us all being in the same circle, soo alas i’m here to seek out some new friends of my own!

Some interests of mine include the beach & boating, music (current fav is dominic fike) and movies (current fave is off campus), i enjoy games like roblox, minecraft, sims and animal crossing mostly girly games. And most importantly CATSS, I have one and am soon getting another. I start college in the fall, and i’ll be studying criminal justice after my first career adventure sorta uh didn’t go too well.

I’m cool with just chats since ik a lot of reddit peeps like to dip but i’d love to find a long term friend or two if possible.
