Advice on wall painting

Hello. Need some advice on how to paint a small wall. I have roller brushes and normal brush and masking tape as well As the right Matt wall paint. Other than roller it on, is there a need to tape the cornices and skirting before painting near them? What about the external corner edges. Can I just brush or roller it outward at the edge? Pls note This wall is newly painted (4-5m old). The patch is because i screwed it up and painted wrong colour (used skirting paint rather than wall paint)

Help. I messed up on the wall touch up.

Hi I messed up big time. I needed to touch up my wall yesterday but saw the word “whisper white” on my paint cans and just used it without giving it much thought thinking all whisper white are the same. I used the can saying indoor skirting (in the picture) on my wall instead of the ecotint whisper white (the other one in the picture) . I assumed this is what cauzed the shiny spots on my wall? It has been 30 hours since. Is it ok if i used use the correct “wall” whisper white to paint over now? Will it look ok? Thanks very much.

Advice on paint touch up

There are some stains on my wall (newly painted about 4 months ago) and I touched it up with roller brush using the same paint the contractor left behind.

It has been 30 hours since and it still looks wet. I am in perth and the temperature these few days range between 10 to 18deg outside and a bit rainy.
Is this normal? Do I have to worry?

Goodwe 12.8kwh battery

Hi, I was quoted $5800 for a goodwe lynx 12.8kw battery including a goodwe smart meter (I was told my current smart meter e350 will not be suffice). Can only get goodwe as I am using a 6kw goodwe hybrid inverter GW6000-ET-20.

Is the quote reasonable? We are in perth. Thank you.

Battery

Hi I just installed a 6.6kw PV and 6kw hybrid 3 phase inverter along with a Tesla wall charger. I am in perth. To be able to charge using super off peak at 8cts/kw is awesome.

Wondering if I should get a 12.8kw battery now as not sure about the ROI and the payoff period. The battery would cost $5600AUD and my last year electric bill including ev charging which I was only charging at 20cts/kw (which I used to charge at night only. But now with the wall charger, I can charger everything at the super off peak) is $2500 in total.

That said, I was quite conservative on the aircon and heater usage, turning on only after 9pm when it was off peak.

Bambu in Garage

Hello, I am thinking of buying a Bambu A1 mini and putting in a car garage. Should I be worry about any filament residue (on surface or “flying” around) or smell? I have a solar inverter about 1m away on the wall. Will that be an issue?

For context, I like 3D printing but have never own a machine before.

ChargeHQ

Hi. I have recently installed a Telsa wall charge and using synergy Ev add on plan to charge (9am to 3pm is 8cts in Perth). So much cheaper compared to my 20cts from 11pm to 6am previously.

I am getting a 6.6kw solar and 6kw inverter next week.

Should i subscribe to the $7/month charge hq so that I use only solar to charge my ev on weekend. Is it worth it or should I just charge using schedule?

My car is only avail on weekend to charge on solar as it is out at work all week. Any advice? Thank you!

Water seepage - to fix or not.

Hi. I have a poly pipe that I installed going under the concrete into the garden bed. But it seem to be leaking underneath the concrete cause there is water seeping/weeping from an edge between the concrete and the water if I turn up high pressure. The white thing in between the concrete and wall is a foam. This is likely from the pipe and not the water source as when I turn off the tape it stop. Should i leave alone or should I fix it by inserting a 13mm pipe thru this 19mm pipe (using this 19mm as conduit since it is likely broken somewhere beneath).

Solar

I was quoted $9K for 6.6KW JA solar panel and 5kW goodwe hybrid 3 phase inverter. I know it is not cheap, but is it unreasonably expensive? I was also quoted $2.7K for zappi charger (I have Tesla).

For context, this is the same company that installed the electricity for my new build which I always paid them $1.6K to prepare and hide all the solar cables.

This house is 2 storey and 3 phases and I am in Perth.
