Anyone know why Kent Road is getting cordoned off? Lots of police and ambulance presence

I keep hearing loud bangs near the common, does anyone know what it is? I can’t see any fireworks.

It’s happening every 5 or 10 minutes.

I just came back from a trip to the Netherlands, including a visit to Rotterdam which I had last visited for the first time in 2018. I loved exploring the city, the architecture. It had something unique about it I didn’t find in Amsterdam.

I have to say I don’t remember the place being energy as dirty and trashed filled as it is now. Almost every street in the central had litter everywhere, bins that had overfilled, and just a general nasty smell. Either piss, shit, or a mixture of both. Not even exaggerating.

What happened here, or am I just remembering wrong? I also had a guy at Efteling ask me where I was staying and he was shocked when I said Rotterdam. Like he genuinely looked confused and asked me why I’d want to stay there.

EDIT: I’m not sure why I’m getting downvoted or people say I’m ’rage baiting’ I was genuinely just a returning tourist from Rotterdam and this was my experience with my partner. Just trash everywhere. It’s just sad to see when the rest of the city is so nice.

Sunday 12th vs Monday 13th July - which day’s better?

I know both dates fall in a busy period (school holidays kicking in), so I’m not expecting either to be quiet. Just trying to work out which would be the lesser evil for crowds and queue times.

I went once before back in 2019 but it’s been a while, so any tips would help, especially:
