If Salazar Slytherin got what he wanted, and Hogwarts only accepted Purebloods, then there would be barely any student of Hogwarts in the future

After the foundation of Hogwarts, the four Founders worked together for years. Some time later, Salazar Slytherin saw it that only those wizards and witches who came from Pureblooded families should be allowed to be students at Hogwarts. The other three Founders didn't agree with this idea, which lead to Salazar Slythering leaving Hogwarts. But before he left, he created the Chamber of Secrets, and left a basilisk there, so that it would one day purge the school from any non-purebloods.

But what if this falling out between the Founders never happened? If Salazar manage to convince (not manipulate) them of his reasoning behind why it could be dangerous to allow muggleborn (or muggleraised) magicals to attend Hogwarts, then maybe they could think that he's got a point. So, though a little begrudgingly (most likely from Helga Hufflepuff), they would agree with Slytherin. And with that, Hogwarts became an all-Pureblood Wizarding school, and muggleborns nd half-bloods have to learn magic somewhere else (I mean, there had to be a way for magical people to learn magic prior to Hogwarts).

But here's the problem. Though most Purebloods tend to avoid marrying to close relatives (probably they might know what happened to the Gaunt Family), this might end up being rather difficult to avoid. Of course, there were more Pureblood families in Britain beyond just those that are on the Sacred 28, but the number of the family members could be low. Later generation of Pureblood families might end up barely able to sire more than one magical child, while others could be born as squibs. So, with the number of Pureblooded children are decreasing, Hogwarts will also barely going to have any students left.

Fanfictions like The Pureblood Pretense by murkybluematter, and That Glorious Strength by Lomonaaeren are based on the idea of what if Hogwarts only acccepted Purebloods, but even that change to the school came later on, way after the time of the Founders.

Albus Dumbledore made a grave mistake, and now he and the rest of the Order want to fix it.

After the Battle of the Department of Mysteries, and Voldemort revealing his return to Wizarding Britain, Dumbledore became honest with Harry. He reveals the Prophecy to him, which finally gave an answer to why Voldemort wanted to kill Harry all those years ago. But even after learning everything, and Dumbledore apologized for how distant he was with Harry throughout this entire year, Harry just had enough. He had been suffered for so long, both physically, and mentally, that he just can't take it anymore. Cedric Diggory dying a year earlier, his friends have been injured after the battle with the Death Eaters, and now Sirius also died. And it was all Harry fault. Once the Headmaster let the boy leave his office, Harry didn't return to Gryffindor Tower. Instead, he went to the Astronomy Tower. Looking down from the top of Hogwarts Castle. Harry finally done it. The Hogwarts staff, and the students were all horrified by the aftermath. Harry Potter, the Boy-Who-Lived, was no more. He was later burried at Godric's Hollow, alongside his parents.

When Professors Dumdledore, McGonagall, and Snape arrived at Number 4 Privet Drive, and told the Dursleys what happened to Harry, their reaction both shocked and disgusted the professors. Instead of being sad for the death of their nephew, Vernon and Petunia Dursley were happy, and grateful for they don't have to see that freak ever again. Snape always knew what a jealous, and vindictive person Petunia was, but being so gleeful over the death of Lily's son made him sick. Though, he would never admit this to anyone else, because it would be hypocritical from him. A fast Legilimancy from both Snape and Dumbledore, and now they know what kind of life Harry had with them.

The Dursleys never treated Harry as family. In his first few years with them, they were indifferent to him, and did the bare minimum expected for child raising. But once Harry got older, and started doing even more accidental magic, that's things started shift for the worse. They made him sleep in a cupboard under the stairs, even though they had enough bedrooms for all of them. Constantly yelled at him, and made his home life misserable. Made up lies to the neighbours of him being a problem child, and they all believed them. Not even the teachers at Harry's muggle school done anything for the boy (note: this was the 1980s, so things like this was not uncommon). They hit him a few times, but never too severely (even they didn't want people to ask about noticeable marks on him). Though, Petunia almost hit Harry with a frying pan, and Vernon chocked him after the Dementor attack, but these were more rare occasions. They didn't even stop Vernon's sister, Marge from sending her dog after Harry, and chase up to a tree. Instead, they all just laughed at it.

Everything they just witnessed made Snape and Dumbledore even more disgusted with the Dursleys than they already were. Snape have some of these moments from Harry memories during their Occlumency lessons, but he didn't really care about it back then, If anything, he though that Potter actually deserved all of. But now, felt less about that. Once the three Professors left Surrey, Dubledore revealed everything they have learned about Harry's life, ut before, and during his years at Hogwarts to the members of the Order. McGonagal, Mrs. Weasley, Hermione, and Ginny were all crying. Mcgonagall was Harry's Head of House, and she never really noticed anything about him. When Hermione and Ron mentions what Umbridge made Harry to do, to carve a line into his own hand with a black quill (which identified by Moody and Kingsley as an illegal Blood Quill), it made McGonagall feel even worse. She told him to stay low, and don't do anything that Umbridge use against him, but she didn't know what that woman actually made him to do. Why didn't she take him seriously? And when Mrs. Weasley questioned taht the Diursleys really put bars on Harry's window, Snape confirmed it. This news devastated the Weasley parents. Molly thought that her sons just exaggerating what happened, so that they would avoid punishment after stealing Arthur's flying car, but it was all true. Arthur have seen how Harry's uncle didn't really care about when Harry left with them for the World Cup, even his goodbye was more forced, than genuine. He thought that they were just a little strict with him, and they actually cared for him, but it wasn't the case.

After they have dicussed all of this, Dumbledore revealed another topic of why he called all here. The Headmaster bought up a few, very ancient looking books. Before they started using Grimmauld Place 12 as the Order's headquarters, Sirius let him look around the house. While he was looking around the Black Family Library, he had found books, that were either too dark, or had so manny forbidden spell in them, that he couldn't just leave them there while children were meant to live in that house for months. When the others questions what those books have to do with anything, and could they be used to stop You-Know-Who, Dumbledore answers. He had found a ritual, which could, theoritically, send the mind of the caster back in time to their younger body. He proposes that they could use this to save Harry. Some questions why can't they just use this to save Lily and James, or even prevent the Dark Lord's rise to power during the first war. Dumbledore tells them that there is a certain limit of how long they can go back without any damage to their minds. The longest they can go back is 5 years. They know what this means. If they do the ritual, they could go back not long before Harry starts is first year at Hogwarts. Maybe not exactly they wanted be, but still an early point in Harry's life where they can help him. They agreed with the Headmaster. Now, only a limited number of people could part of the ritual, but that would be enough. And so, Dumbledore, McGonagall, Snape, Hermione, Ron, Fred, George, Ginny, and Mr. and Mrs Weasley took part in the ritual. They had the most connection to Harry, so they are the ones who will make things right.

Young Harry Potter didn't know why that redhead boy and bushy haired girl were so interested in him, but he thought that maybe it's he same thing as those wizards and witches at the Leaky Cauldron. Of course, it wasn't the case. Ron and Hermione cared more deeply about Harry beyond just some hero worship. They, and their families will stay with him, and prevent that dark future from ever happening. Harry deserves a happy life.

How do fanfictions usually depict Kingsley Shacklebolt as Minister of Magic?

After the death of Voldemort, and the end of the Second Wizarding War, Kingsley Shacklebolt taken the role of Minister of Magic. First as interim, later fully elected. He held the position for years, and once he stepped down, Hermione Granger-Weasley was elected as Minister.

What I would like to know is in different fanfictions, how was Kingsley usually being written as Minister? Even when I read Post-War fics, not much politics is mentioned there (or at very least Kingsley isn't really involved in it). Is he portrayed as competent, or actually the opposite? Can you give some examples where his time as Minister of Magic was actually shown?

When should I watch the Prisma Phantasm movie?

I'm near the end of 2wei! Herz (Season 3). After that, 3rei (Season 4) comes next. Once that season is finished, only the movies remained, starting with Oath Under Snow. But when I looked up what is there beyond the four season of the anime, I found this movie as well. From what is wtitten there, this movie is basically like those short specials that each seasons has, only this being a full movie. So it's basically non-canon to the manga and the anime. But I still going to watch it. It's just that, I don't know when should I watch it. After 3rei, or the other movies?

Are there any other fanfictions similar to No Curiosity by HarnGin?

I just re-read No Curiosity by HarnGin, and I'm looking for more stories like this. After the way Harry was "raised" by the Dursleys, Harry basically does not have any personel interest, and just does anything he was told to do, without any questions. Even when others notice that something isn't right about Harry, and they try to do something about it, Harry just declines anything they offer. Everything else is happening almost the same as it was in the first book, just without Harry being involved in the events.

This one-shot fic only covered Harry's First Year at Hogwars. And sadly, since this was published in 2012, it will never going to get a sequel.

Are there any other fanfictions similar to this? I'm okay with one-shots, or longer fanfics.

Please, don't recommend any crossovers, or slash fics.

"Characters Reading the Harry Potter Books" stories are mostly used so that the authors could critizese the characters, and point out problems with the story, or possible plot holes

This type of fanfiction is kind of on a thin ice when it comes to the thought of whether this counts as plagiarism, or not (since some authors are copying complete sentences from the books).

When it comes to the story, it usually follows similar plotlines. At some point during Harry's time at Hogwarts (Year 5 is the most common time for these stories), a series of books have been brought in (maybe it was found by someone, or sent by someone), which details everything that happened to Harry before, and during his time at Hogwarts. Once the books have arrived, they are being read for the other characters (whether it's just a small group of people, or maybe even the entire Hogwarts, the members of the Order of the Phoenix, and some Ministry officials as well). The reactions can vary, depending on who we are talking about. Some like Umbridge and Fudge could be happy for what miserable life Harry had (especially Umbridge), and maybe use that as excuse for why Harry aended up being so delusional. Madam Bones, and some of the other "reasonable" adults would question why was Harry even allowed to be raised in such an environment. Harry would dislike the way how others would look at him only after the first few chapters of Book 1. The sadness, and pity in their eyes, that Harry had to endure such a terrible childhood, that would annoy Harry.

But here's how they would react to the actions of some of the characters. They obviously going to dislike (if not outright be disgusted with) the Dursleys. They basically treated Harry worse than a house elf. And even just the mention of the mention of the cupboard under the stairs, or that any of them wanted to raise their hands on Harry, would make some of the characters (like Sirius, or Mrs. Weasley) want to go full ballistic on the Dursleys. And when it comes to the Hogwarts staff, people would mention how incompetent they are. Hagrid talks too much. McGonagall removes 150 Points from Harry, Hermione, and Neville, and send them to the Forbidden Forest as detention (though some fanfics might blame this on Hagrid, rather than McGonagall). Snape (AS A PROFESSOR!) bullies his students, and non of the other members of the staff does anything about it. And Dumbledore, even though there are dangers in the school, seemingly does nothing, If anything, Harry and his friends have to deal with every problem, even though they shouldn't even need to involve themselves into it.

These all would raises questions for people who are present during the reading. Like, why was the Philosopher's Stone even in Hogwarts? Or why wasn't the DMLE called after some students were petrified? They might try to give some reasons (more like excuses) for why all of these events happened, but others would point out that everything could have been done differently.

Should I watch the Specials?

I'm currently watching the Fate/Kaleid anime for the first time. While looking at the episodes, I noticed these "Special" episodes, which are seemingly just short episodes (with each episode being around 5 minutes long). Are these worth watching? And if I do, when should I watch them? During, or after the season?

What do you think about the concept of the Unforgivable Curses weren't always meant to be used for evil?

In Canon, those three are basically the darkest curses that any magical people could use. The Imperius Curse takes away the free will of the victim, and they become puppets for the caster. The Cruciatus Curse causes immense pain for the victim, which could even go from physical pain to mental after a long time (just look at what happened to the Longbottoms). And the Killing Curse, well, it's in the name. Do I seriously need to say more? So yeah, there is no questioning that these three curses were meant be used for acts of evil.

But in fanon, this could be different. For the most part, these were mostly being used the same way as they were in the books. It's the origin of the curses that makes them different. When it comes to the origin of the spells that were later be known as the Unforgivable Curses, most fanfiction authors tend to depict them as being originally used for medical reasons. For example, the Imperius Curse is used on people with mental problems, so that they would not do anything while they are not in the right state of mind. The Crutiatus Curse is used on people with nerve damage (or something like that). And the Killing Curse is used as like a magical way of "mercy kill". Of course, dark wizards and witches later started to use these as their canon way, and made them declared as Unforgivable Curses (although, not everywhere in the Wizarding World were these curses illegal).

What do you think? Does it make any sense that these curses weren't originally as dark as they were later become?

Could you recommend me some time travel stories with Darth Vader during the Old Rebublic Era?

After watching this What if? video, I'm looking for more stories where Darth Vader ends up in the past, during the events of the Old Rebublic era. Whether it's the Knights of the Old Republic, or or the sequel, it's fine. It could be similar what if videos, or written fanfictions.

Please, don't recommend me any crossovers, or slash fics.

Why did the Soul Society even have any data about the Hogyoku?

I just rewatched Episodes 123-125 (mostly because of the Ichigo vs Hollow Ichigo fight), and the second half of 125 made me thinking about this topic. Ukitake was doing some investigation in the archives, and they found "Aizen's search history". Jokes aside, most of his searches were about the Hogyoku (with the only unrelated one was about the Oken).

This is something that I don't really understand. Why were there any information about the Hogyoku? At this point of the story, Urahara Kisuke was credited as the one who created the Hogyoku. The Turn Back the Pendulum Arc even gave us a reason why he even created one. But once he realised what he have created, and failed to destroy it, he hide it away. I doubt Urahara would leave behind any info about what the Hogyoku is, or how to create one. The Fake Karakura Town Arc makes this question even more complicated. Around the end of the Arc, it was revealed that Aizen have created his own Hogyoku, way before Urahara have created his. This revelation brings up even more questions. Like, how did Aizen even know how to create a Hogyoku in the first place? Sure, it was incomplete, but he still had the knowledge of how to make one.

Have you ever thought that some voice actors got "wasted" with a too ealy role?

What I mean is, while reading a Light Novel, manga, or whatever else that gets an anime adaptation, you might try to imagine how certain characters could/would sound like. You try to attach a voice to the character, and reading their lines with that voice in mind. And once it's an anime adaptation, that character might get the voice, or not.

But while the anime is running/already had a season or two, new chapters were released, and new characters were introduced. And just like before, you're thinking about which VA would be the ideal choice in your opinion. The "problem" is, that said voice actor had already played a different character in an earlier season, and the chances of him/her returning for a different role is unlikely.

How can I write my opinion on certain fanfictions, or fanfiction topics/contents/concepts, without breaking the rules of this sub-reddit?

This happened to me in the past. I wrote a discussion about some of things I read in fanfictions (like different characterizations of specific characters, or about their actions in the story), or asking other people about their opinions on certain topics. My opinion might have been a bit negative (that depends on the topic), but I don't think I went too far, and break Rule 7 (that's the most common Rule that usually comes up).

What should I do? How can I write fanfiction-related discussions here, that could go on topics that I'm not on the best opinions on, without it getting removed?

What would the story be like with a "Muggleborn Dark Lord"?

With how the Wizarding World is presented (both in the books, and in some fanon stories), it would make sense if the next great dark wizard/witch would be a muggleborn. Muggleborns have their own reasons for why they would start their own rebellion. At the age of 11, they would think that a world of magic would be a like a dream come true. But it's actually quite the opposite. They are constantly being harassed by pureblood supremacists (mostly from Slytherin, but there could be some in the other Houses as well), and the professors don't do anything about it. And even if they manage to graduate from Hogwarts (or any other magical school), they would be unable to find any jobs. The reason? Because most of them would never employ muggleborns.

So there they are. Either unemployed, or only having low paying jobs. Even if they go back to the Muggle World, their muggle was dicontinued at age 11. Can they even continue their education at all? What about their families? There is a chance that many muggleborns ended up having a more estrange relationship with their muggle family after they begin their magical education. So they don't have anywhere to go.

All of this could lead to muggleborns starting to fight for their rights in the Wizarding World. Maybe one person could become their leader, who would unite them together, to make changes for their lives There is a possible idea of them combining magical and muggle ways to fight. Somewhat similar to how it was in Divided and Entwined by Starfox5.

Caster is living there, since she was married to Kuzuki. So her being there isn't questionable. But when it comes to Assassin, that would raise some questions. To the outside looker, there is this purple haired man in a kimono with a sword at the front gate of the Ryuudou Temple. Something like this would probably be starts out as a rumor, which could spread like wildfire, until people actually see that it's true. The only time we see Assassin interact with a "normal" person (basically no connection to mages, or the Holy Grail War) was when Saegusa Yukika (that timid girl from the Track and Field Club) went to the Ryuudou Temple, and met him.

Caster and Kuzuki are very much aware who he is, and why is he there. But for people like Issei, his brother Reikan, and the others who live at the temple, do they never question why is he there?
