Just got into Architectural Assistantship — what should I learn/buy first?

Hey guys, I recently took admission in Architectural Assistantship and honestly I’m a bit confused about what I should start preparing for

For people who are already studying this course or have completed it, I wanted to ask:

What things do I actually need to buy for college? Like drawing instruments, stationery, etc.

Also, which software should I learn first?

Should I start with AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, Photoshop, or something else? I don’t want to waste time trying to learn everything at once, so which one would you recommend mastering first?

And one more thing — is a laptop really necessary for this course? If yes, at what point does it become necessary?

I’m also planning to buy a laptop, but I don’t want to spend a lot of money on something I won’t really need. So what specs should I look for in a laptop for Architectural Assistantship?

Basically, if you were starting this course again, what would you buy/learn first and what would you avoid wasting money or time on?

Would really appreciate some advice from seniors or anyone who has already gone through this. 🙏

[DISCUSSION] What's a manga with the funniest reactions you've ever seen? BODY

Some manga panels are funny because of the dialogue, but sometimes it's just the characters' reactions that completely sell the scene.

I'm looking for manga with genuinely funny reactions, ridiculous facial expressions, awkward situations, or panels that made you stop and laugh for a moment.

It doesn't necessarily have to be a comedy manga. Some of the funniest moments I've found are in series that aren't primarily comedy.

So, what's a manga that has the funniest reactions or panels you've seen?

Feel free to share the title and, if possible, the specific scene or character that made it so funny.

I'm looking for something where the comedy comes naturally from the characters and situations rather than just constant jokes.

Why Do You Hate Her So Much?

I've seen a lot of people dislike this character, and I'm genuinely curious about why.

Is it because of her actions, her relationship with the other characters, or something else?

I'm interested in hearing both sides. If you actually like or defend her character, I'd like to hear your perspective too.

So, what exactly makes you dislike her?

From the New World (Shinsekai yori) — An Underrated Psychological Anime

I don't see From the New World (Shinsekai yori) recommended nearly as often as I think it deserves, especially when people are talking about psychological, mystery, or darker anime.

The anime is set about a thousand years in the future, in a society where humans possess powerful psychic abilities. At first, the world looks almost peaceful and ideal. Saki Watanabe and her friends grow up in a seemingly quiet community and attend a school where they learn to control their abilities.

But as Saki and her friends grow older, they begin to notice that there are things about their society that don't quite make sense. People disappear, strange rules surround their way of life, and there are stories about things that children aren't supposed to know about. The more they try to understand their world, the more complicated and disturbing it becomes.

What I really like about From the New World is its world-building. It doesn't immediately explain everything to you. Instead, information is revealed gradually, so you slowly start putting the pieces together along with the characters. The setting initially feels peaceful, but there is always this uncomfortable feeling that something is wrong underneath the surface.

The story also becomes much more interesting when it starts exploring how a society maintains peace, what people are willing to sacrifice for that peace, and how history can shape the way an entire civilization thinks. It isn't just a story about characters having psychic powers; the supernatural elements are closely connected to the society and its history.

Another thing worth mentioning is the atmosphere. The anime can be beautiful and quiet one moment and extremely unsettling the next. It takes its time building the world, so I wouldn't recommend going into it expecting a fast-paced action series.

From the New World originally aired from September 2012 to March 2013 and has 25 episodes. It was produced by A-1 Pictures and adapted from Yusuke Kishi's novel.

If you enjoy psychological stories, mystery, dystopian settings, slow-burn world-building, or anime that gradually reveals darker ideas, I think this one is worth trying.

Have you watched From the New World? If you have, what other underrated psychological or mystery anime would you recommend?

I've Watched 77 Anime So Far — What Should I Watch Next?

I've watched 77 anime so far, and I made this list to keep track of everything I've completed.

My list has a mix of romance, psychological, action, fantasy, and some darker anime.

Based on what I've watched, what anime would you recommend I watch next? I'm especially interested in something that might become a new favorite.
