I’m currently renting an apartment in Centrum Den Bosch with my friend. We’re both international students and our contract mentions indefinite but subject to minimum 12 months.

We’re currently paying €1850 plus service and utilities. The apartment is beautiful. It’s an attic apartment with two floors. One bedroom on each floor with a small terras on the upper level. On paper the house is 105m2 but during our calculations we found that most of the upper level doesn’t count because half the space is marked as landing area in the floor plan and the sides of the bedroom don’t count since they have less than 2m clearance. There’s similar low clearance area in the living room as well and also the lower level bedroom. So we come out to 75-80m2.

The energy label is E and besides that we have a microwave and dishwasher etc. Our current calculation lands at 157 points and the most liberal calculation I had went only up to 183 points, by including all the floor area (105m2). Woz is 424k.

So the rent should be around 1000-1200 based on final points.

On the 1st of Oct, I contacted my landlord after paying the rent and casually asked her for a WWS report. She instantly called me and was very aggressive and confrontational. I didn’t mention rent and stuck to my one demand: the law says you have to provide me with a wws report at the signing of the contract and I am just asking to see the report. She deflected and denied a lot but in the end said she’ll get a report from the huurcomissie.

A few hours later, she texts me again and said she wants to meet with me next week. I unfortunately agreed before I realized I could just decline the meeting.

I don’t know what to do. On one hand she’d have kept charging me the extra high rent if we didn’t catch her and I shouldn’t negotiate or sympathize with her. But on the other hand, looking at the posts in this subreddit, I am a little scared of retaliation and just having my time wasted in perpetual court hearings. And the money for the lawyers.

She’s not the type of woman who’ll just accept things without putting up a fight. She’ll either try her best to evict us or make our life hell. The reduced rent will genuinely improve my life tho. I am currently managing a very demanding course load and have a job on the side to make ends meet. If I get the reduction then I can work reduced hours and make time for other social activities on campus.

I’m looking to buy 2-3 cigarettes. I moved to the Netherlands in early August and haven’t smoked since then. I really don’t want to buy a pack bc it’s gonna form a habit that’ll be hard for me to get rid of. But at the same time I do like smoking every once in a while and I don’t know where I can get a small number of cigarettes.

I used to be Gold 1 in Overwatch 2. Then after Season 1 came out I dropped to Gold 5. This season after placements I climbed up to Gold 1 after being placed in Gold 3. Now I'm Silver 1 after a few days???? Why does matchmaking insist on fudging me over with leavers, otp dooms who won't switch or just supports who wanna heal bot. I'm sure I am to blame for maybe 25% of losses too but goddamn the unlucky streak is not ending. I thought adding Emerald would make matchmaking better.

Hero shooters have changed a lot over the past decade. Games like Marvel Rivals, Overwatch (2), and to some extent Valorant and Deadlock have all evolved the genre forward.

If Paladins 2 was an upcoming title being released in the next few years, what one feature would you borrow from these other games and add to Paladins 2?

From health packs on map, to** **the ban and map voting system followed by overwatch, to the perk system, to the various gamemodes and map design philosophies, to DLSS, to melee combat, to team up abilities, to role queue there are many features that can be adopted into Paladins.

I think for me, Overwatch’s ban system and hero selection screen is the most important one for ranked games. Paladins’ implementation put too much trust in one person to pick bans for the whole team and the one by one hero selection made the whole process so much more time consuming. I seriously hated waiting so long to get in a game only for some person to leave the lobby before the game even started.

Do you ever think overwatch will implement a gamemode similar to Siege from Paladins? The closest thing we have in the game is Hybrid but it’s just one sided.

For those who are unaware, Siege mode in paladins was the main game mode. It’s quite similar to hybrid but both teams could compete to capture the point at the start of the game. Whoever captured the point would get 1 point and then get an opportunity to push the payload to the enemy spawn. If successful, they get another point and if they fail the enemy gets 1 point. The game ended when a team reached 4 points.

I think this game mode would be great in QP since hybrid and escort are always one sided. I do think that it would make the game a little too long so some changes may be necessary.
