Not My Cat But He's Thinking About Indoor Life With My Cats

My wife and I have been feeding this cat for a little over a year now. He went missing for 4mos when another stray scared him off a few times, but now he's been visiting nightly again and hangs out on the patio or in the garage. I can't pet him and haven't had luck with trapping, so for now he's just a spoiled stray. He does let me get closer to him now though.
