If I'm a student, then should I go for a broker to invest or should I start investing by myself(in a safe way)?

So, as the title said, I'm a student and quite new to investing.

I don't know if I should I go for a broker or not. Also, a lot of people say that becoming a filer is better but with all that going on in Pakistan right now. Should one become a filer? Especially since they aren't earning.

Also, according to your personal experience what's been the best app that you actually use now? I hear people say abc, but then others say that this app has a lot of issues that affect their investing routine.

Edit: Also, brokers normally want their extra money and it's more of a headache if they aren't serious enough(which is usually the case, if I'm right).

All the girls and women, please stay safe out there.

My father works in a government office located at Nipa Karachi. Today he was telling us about a woman who was called from Mirpur AK due to some issue with pension. Usually all of these issues are solved online however, she was advised to come to Karachi. Anyway she came via Bus with her brother however her brother fell sick or smth and he couldn't accompany her to the office and went to the hotel. She asked my dad for the office location and my dad shared it. She got a ride from a Rickshaw driver and my dad told him all the directions. For some reason the driver started asking her questions and she started feeling uneasy, so she started voice recording him. The guy took a wrong turn near continental bakery and started taking her to a very silent sunsaan place. He was talking to someone in siraiki. The woman started feeling very unsafe and started shouting and the rickshaw driver did not stop the vehicle. The poor woman had to jump out of it, there was a Pathan chai Wala who gave her shelter. She called my dad and my dad sent his friend to pick her up since my dad doesn't take his car, he takes his bike to the office. She was wearing a Burka and a full proper niqab, the only thing that you could see was her eyes and her hands. She was very fair and had colored eyes. ( My dad's description ). When they got the recording and translated it, the guy was basically saying in siraiki that he has a very sexy woman and he is bringing her to the place.

Khair his number and recording was reported to the police. Hopefully smth can be done. My dad was telling me this and my first question to him was why were u looking at her eye colors etc, so he told me that I was trying to find smth which would make a simple innocent woman victim of smth so heinous while she was in abaya. He was trying to find what society could possibly blame her for now. Poor soul was soo shaken up, she got her work then went back right after without staying in Khi.

Please I have a sister and a mother too, I would always ask you guys to carry a taser and carry a power bank with you guys. Please share your location with everyone. I hate saying this because women shouldn't be afraid to go out of the house but alas, you can only bring so much change to a country where a lot of people think it's women's fault for rape in the first place.

May Allah keep each and every one, whether it's a man, women or a child safe and sound from these heinous people.

Even last night I was coming back from Expo daachi and my indrive guy basically was forcing me to have a cup of tea with him *Mera mood fresh karne Kai Liye* when I said my parents are waiting, he was forcing me to give him my number etc. All the way he was asking me random questions if I lived alone , if I earned well and of course I was lying to him. But this was very weird.

Did I get scammed? All of this was for 6k.

Bro, I don't even know if this kinda jewellery is in fashion anymore or if it'll stay in fashion for sometime more.i feel like all of this wasn't worth for 6k, because what if it gets out of fashion? Also, the place I bought it from had a lot of sellers, and the ones I got these from were selling me these for 300-350 but then when I got to another seller he was selling these exact thinga for 250-300 I know that it's not much of a difference but I'm heartbroken because the first guys knows us well, and he tried to sell it for more even though the others sold it for less💔💔

I know that it seems like I'm over reacting but I used my pocket money for it all and now I have 4k left for college, friends and so on.

Please tell me this was worth it😭😭

Advice for studies, navigating social, work and college life. Also a bit about future.

So, I'm starting at my university next week. I'll be studying Med-Tech Radiology in ZU.

I plan on going abroad, and studying/working there. ZU offers exchange programs, by the second year so I want to prepare for it.

I also want to get distinctions, and I want to complete assignments and my studies on time so that I can have time for my social life.

—InShaAllah.

But I don't know how to deal with teachers, staff, and rotations. Also, AI told me to maintain a logbook but idk how to actually do it and if it'll be credible or not.

Also, I wish to do research work but I don't have any guidance on that as of now either.

So can ya'll seniors advice me on how to achieve these things or navigate it all.

Also what's the scope of my field in Pakistan and outside of it. I hope I've made the right decision.

Growing Incel culture in Pak

I was a teenager when I first got to learn this word from YouTube. I didn't quite grasp the idea of what it actually meant until this phenomenon reached Pakistan too. With the rise of feminism or you can say positive movement towards installing the rights of women, there has been a rise of men (specially younger men) who literally despise the whole female gender. In their minds, everything wrong in society is because of women. Their failure in life is due to a woman. Our young men have started consuming red pill content. It's harmful. There are always FB groups appearing of such men with horrendous posts. It's scary to think these same men will someday be on authoritative positions. Something should really be done to block such content.

Someone(f) from karachi, was slapped by her husband thrice in a month. The last time he hit her, he slapped her three to four times again after the first slap. He has also been torturing her emotionally, psychologically and financially.

He earns 100k oer month and only gives his wife 5k as allowance. Meanwhile, he had enough money to give to his parents who run a coaching and have enough money to have their son graduate from Denning, to run the coaching smoothly as the parents stopped paying the fee.

Thw thing is, the family used to give her nalke ka paani without any filter, used to fight with her and a lot more. He lives with his parents, but on a different floor yet he's poor somehow, even though his family uses solar from day to night and then uses a generator when gas is available to avoid paying the bills as much as possible.

The couple has an infant too. The wife has left the house and is seeking a divorce + compensation and child support as the bare minimum. But I'm worried about all this working out and also about protection afterwards. Since he has a huge ego issue, and there's already a crisis in Pakistan with men attacking women in different ways, including acid attacks, etc. Also, how much would it all cost approximately and what charges can we press on him?

A female psychologist with good reputation needed, especially for SA, separation anxiety, burnout, etc. for teenagers. Budget is max 2k per session.

Also, kindly let me know if the psychologist takes online sessions.

Edit: leave the budget range. If the psychologist is good then tell me but let me know about the cost per session too.

Harrasment

I saw a post about a girl getting harassed while cycling, and of course the comments were full of:

“Maybe area acha nahi hoga.”

“Maybe she was wearing something inappropriate.”

So here’s my little “shut up” story for those people.

This happened with us in Gulberg. Right in front of Indigo. Me and my friend were just waiting for our ride, casually walking. I was fully covered only my hands and eyes were visible

Then two boys on a bike slowed down right in front of us.

And the guy sitting behind looked straight into my soul said:

“Isko utha kar le chalte hain apne sath”

Wallahi I froze.

My friend was way more confident than me, she tried reacting back, but the guy in front of that boy just showed her the middle finger and they sped off laughing like it was some funny joke.

And honestly? In that moment the first thing that came into my mind was:

May they crash so badly they can never recognize their own faces again.

Then I instantly felt guilty for even thinking that because somewhere they’re someone’s sons.

You people will blame clothes, women, timing, area EVERYTHING except the actual men doing this disgusting behavior.

Bhai I was fully covered. Minding my own business.

Then what's the excuse now?

The truth is some men are just so shameless and rotten from inside that no amount of “modesty” or “good area” changes anything.

And the saddest part? These same men have mothers, sisters, daughters… yet they help create a society where women feel unsafe doing the most basic things.

May Allah expose every man who harasses women online or offline while acting innocent and shareef in front of their families. The same men who have mothers, sisters, and daughters still choose to make society a living hell for someone else’s daughter. I pray your own women never have to experience the fear, disgust, and humiliation you put others through but honestly, the hell you’ve created for women is the same hell you deserve to burn in yourselves. May every fake mask fall publicly, and may Allah hold every single one of you accountable for the trauma you leave behind.

Since there's this garmi crisis in Karachi & a lot of people smell. There's something you should look out for.

I mean, if you wanna judge someone without even trying to help them then I don't have words to describe your humanity's low level.

So, I had to put some money in a bank account but that money had to be transferred to either ubl or hbl. We went to both & the customer service on spot was so bad for hbl. So, we decided to go for ubl. Now, it turns out that they haven't opened my account & I haven't received any notifications for it even though the girl said it'd open in 2 hours when we first went there. Now, I have something urgent for tomorrow and it's 5:22 p.m. & my account still hasn't opened which means it'll likely open by 12 tomorrow if done at the earliest. Now there's a manager in Habib metro who knew our father and knows us as well.

I initially planned to have an account in ubl and another in meezan for mudarrabah. Now if I switch the account from ubl to habib metro for the reason mentioned above after getting my transaction tomorrow then will it be a good decision. Also will it be troublesome in any way or not?
