Oh one of roommates came up with a hilarious scam. I live in a large house with 6 housemates. There are 7 of us and we're all grown adults. Yet, my physically disabled ass is the only one cleaning. The other day one of the housemates asked me "Can you show me how your mop works?"

I say "Sure, it's in the laundry room..."

She interrupts "oh not now, lets talk tomorrow"

In my head I think "You are a grown woman of over 50 years. I know you've mopped floors before. We have a Swiffer Power Mop this shit is not hard. You put a pad on it, press the only button on it and fluid comes out, then you mop. And if you want to be real nice you throw the pad in the washer after. If you really wanted to know you can Google it"

So it dawned on me. She's nor asking to know. She's smart and could easily figure it out. The pads and extra fluid are right next to it. Nah. She's asking me because when I bring up being the only one to clean she can say that she asked how the mop worked and never got around to telling her. It's pure weaponized incompetence.

I live in a house with 6 housemates. Two of us are disabled and the other disabled person is over 70. I give him a lot of leeway. I am in constant pain. But I also have standards for my home. It's not even crazy standards. This week I have cleaned our home from top to bottom. I am literally standing in th shower scrubbing lining on my cane. I cleaned the entire kitchen, then swept and mopped the entire downstairs floor. And last night I forgot it was Sunday. Usually I ask one of the younger guys to take the bins to the curb. I've been reminding one guy for over a month. And to make it worse he blocked the bins with his car. So we didn't get a trash pickup. And when I asked him why he didn't do it he says "I'm hardly here, why can't someone who is home more do it?" So this is why I have to do everything. Because I'm disabled I'm supposed to be the fucking free maid service.

I'm trying out Amazon groceries since they have a Mexican food grocer I like. I get a message that something needed to be substituted. Ok I check and it immediately says that it's too late to modify the order. Like could give me a minute if you're going to ask about substitute. Or just tell me what was substituted. I pick out my substitutions before hand so I doubt it's a big deal. But don't ask a question and immediately say you don't or can't take an answer.

I live in a house with 6 other housemates. Yesterday the oldest housemate says to me "I've found a house to rent for $500!" I say to him that it makes no sense. I ask him "someone will rent him an entire house with utilities for what he rents his room for in our house?" "That makes no sense" is my argument. He responds "the landlord has plenty of money and isn't looking to make profit on this rental." "My friend," I continue, "no landlord is giving out rentals at a loss." And his final argument "God is looking out for me". Dude, you are about to get scammed out of your rent you need for your room in our house. Our landlord doesn't accept reasons especially not nonsense that you fell for a scam. Luckily we all rent our rooms separately so his BS won't affect anyone else. Everyone at this house pays between $500 for the cheapest room to $1,000 for the most expensive. If someone was renting whole houses at $500 none of us would be here.

When someone says to me "I need a break my back is killing me, now I know how you feel." The absolute fuck you do. I'm disabled with a spinal issue. My spinal cord is being strangled by bone. I have been in constant severe pain for 17 years. My meds let me be a bit of a normal person. I get my chores done but I pay for it for days after. I appreciate you're trying to commiserate but your aches and pains that you need a break from are my good days. There is a reason I need a cane. Take your worst pain, and imagine it never leaving your body. Never getting a rest that helps. You sleep only from medication and sheer exhaustion. You can only cook food takes less than 15 minutes but you need an hour because you have to sit and rest so much. Then you're getting close. If you can go to work then you have no idea. I would kill to get your bad days. You wouldn't move if you could feel my good days. It's just so annoying. Thanks for letting me vent.
