Flying on RJ 787 - Do they lock/dim the windows?

I've got an upcoming flight on Royal Jordanian's 787 in the next few weeks from Jordan to the East Coast USA. I book window seats well in advance purely to look outside the flight the entire time (I'm not 30something thousand feet in the sky often and when I am I want to look out, even if its ocean or clouds or just nothing).

Does anyone know if they normally just use the electronic dimming to keep the windows dimmed the majority of the flight in cruise? Or will I have to develop motion sickness where I need to look out to help with nausea?

Thanks!

Stream is not stable

My PC has a 9800X3D, 4070 Ti Super and 64 gigs of DDR5. It is connected via ethernet which goes upto gigabit. I have Apollo installed.

I also have a SteamDeck OLED, which is connected to a dock (capable of outputting 4k120 if that’s important, I have it set to 4k60 connected to my TV) also via gigabit ethernet.

When I am playing games, like Forza 6 for example, I have a locked 60 FPS which is stable on the host’s PC and GPU utilization hovers around 60-70%

When streaming to the steamdeck, the moonlight frame rate drops as low as 40 gps and ruins the experience.

Any idea what is happening? I have tried vsync and frame pacing both on and off which does not help.

What would you buy?

I have to make a decision and I'm a little stuck. I would like to get some opinions from other people.

Currently, I have a Nikon Z6 and the Nikon Z 24-120 f/4 S. My priorities are photography only (landscape, street, cars, airshows, races). I live in Dubai however and I don't get a lot of opportunities for photography around here (at least in my opinion, it's a decent bit of a drive from where I live to get to places where I'm interested in taking photos) so it's usually during my travels where I would be using my camera the most.

I am stuck between the following.

  1. Buy the Nikon Z 70-180 f/2.8 lens for 1,140 USD new. I want a 70-200 f/2.8 lens, but I don't want to get any sort of adapter, and from my research it looks like there are not many options at all besides the first party Nikon 70-200, which costs near 1750 USD brand new (and I believe this is the first generation one since Nikon released a newer version which is even more expensive).

The 70-180 is not as good as the Nikon with the coatings etc from what I can tell, but it's still a damn good lens and I don't think I would miss the 20mm of reach (I am planning on getting a 2x tc down the line as well for plane spotting). It is also much more portable and lighter, so easier for me to take around and I think more likely to use it as a result.

  1. Sell my Nikon Z6 (I can get around 800 USD for it) and buy the Nikon Z6iii for 1,700. I would not use the video at all so it is a bit of a waste, but the better autofocus and the the burst rates are super tempting. Not to mention the dual card slot (a bonus, not mandatory), better EVF and the fully articulating screen.

What do you guys think? Thoughts, feedback, and opinions are welcome

Quick Release Mount for Ulanzi Coman Zero Y?

I picked up an Ulanzi Coman Zero Y for 175 USD a few days ago on sale and I love the tripod.

My only complaint is with the current mount, which is a little tedious with having to constantly unscrew and screw the camera back into the ball head.

Is there any quick release mount that works with this tripod? I do not want the Ulanzi’s F38 stuff (proprietary and expensive for the F38 ball mount)

Would be mounting my Nikon Z6 for reference

Thanks in advance!

On dubizzle, these cars go for about 60k-70k AED with approx 120k-150k km on the cars.

I am curious on what owning the car would be like to daily it. What's maintenance like on a car like this, or things to look out for? It would be a first time getting a sports car like this but they look absolutely lovely and are probably really fun to drive. Just worried/curious about the ownership aspect and how much those cars should actually cost.

Looking for any advice or words of wisdom.

Thanks in advance!
