Fire Emblem: of Dice and Fodlan- The GMPC

If anyone has ever played a TPRG, they have most likely encountered the dread Game Master's Player Character. This PC out shines the rest of the party and gets special treatment. Often treated as the perfect 'chosen one' as it were. Thus is my comparison to every Fire Emblem avatar from Kris to Byleth.

Of course not all GMPCs are this bad. Sometimes I have a random GMPC join my party when there aren't enough members to play. However, these GMPCs are often used as glorified 10-foot poles which can fight.

Fire Emblem: of Dice and Fodlan (I'm unsure who will actually find this funny, but I had a fun time making it.)

For background, there have been several parodies about movies being D&D campaigns on the internet in this style. I have decided to try my hand at making one for Fire Emblem: Three Houses. See Darths and Droids/DM of the Rings for reference.

The yellow boxes are the GM speaking, while the white boxes are being spoken by the character portrait above it.

Hail and well met adventurers. This is my first attempt at drawing a comic based on funny moments from playing Pathfinder. Although my drawing is not great yet, I hope that I can still entertain with my words until I improve. In the body of each post I will include a transcript because my hand writing is horrible. I hope you enjoy!

Innkeeper: And that's the long and short of what happened to the temple of Gorum after that new cult moved in.

Elven Rogue: Thanks

Innkeeper: If you're planning to break in, could I ask for a favor?

Elven Rogue: Sure

Innkeeper: Before the cult took over, the temple priests asked me to make some medication for an ill goat. The cult hasn't let anyone in since they took over... I was wondering if-

Elven Rogue: Sense Motive!

Human Wizard: Why are you using sense motive on some random innkeeper? Do you really think she is lying to us?

Elven Rogue: Not really, but it couldn't hurt to try. It will only go bad if I roll a one.

Elven Rogue: ... (player rolling dice)

Human Wizard: And? What did you roll?

Elven Rogue: *sigh* a natural one.

Elven Rogue: and what's why I accused her of trying to kill us for her dark lord.

Dhampir Fighter: and thus why she kicked us out and now we have to stay in the hovel of a mad man...

Elven Rogue: Completely out of my hands

Madman: I have a key hook for the next part of the story

Dhampir Fighter: shut up...
