Gated entrance to my neighborhood (15 houses)

Our HOA president out this up.

She has been president since it began in 2010, and every election she refuses to show the votes to other members, saying that the lawyer had processed it and she would remain president.

Edit: We've tried fighting the HOA lawyer with another one, and it just draggggged. Delays, etc and eventually the other members who wanted her out didn't want to pay attorneys fees anymore.

Bathroom faucets for sale!

I have 4 faucets if anyone is interested. They are brand new, still sealed in the box.

I'm asking for $65 each of $200 for all of them.

I live in Marble Falls but commute to Dripping Springs every day, so I can meet somewhere between Drip and MF, maybe Oak Hill or Bee Cave.

My (28M) wife (29F) says I don’t listen to her and that I do the opposite of what she asks.

My wife and I have been having some communication issues, and I’m trying to get outside perspectives. Let me preface by saying she is incredibly smart, takes care of so much planning, and takes care of me in so many ways.

She says that I often do the opposite of what she tells me and that I don’t listen. I want to be clear that I never intentionally do things to spite her or ignore her. In my mind, I’m usually trying to solve a problem or make things easier, but she feels like I’m disregarding her.

For example, we were at a hotel and she asked me to call the lobby and have them send up a bell cart as I was helping pack the room. Instead, I said I would just go downstairs and get one myself because I thought it would be faster. I saw one in the hallway, and tried to grab that, but a housekeeper stopped me. When I got downstairs, a bell attendant said he would bring one up. I came back upstairs and told her someone was bringing it.

The situation got more complicated because she was on a work call, and I was trying to get all of our stuff rounded up, keep people quiet, and manage multiple things at once. When the bell cart arrived, I explained to the worker that my wife was on a work call and asked if they could just leave the cart, but they said no and told us to call when we were ready.

My wife saw this as another example of me not listening because she specifically told me to call the lobby, and I chose a different approach.
I can understand how that could be frustrating, but I also feel like my intention matters. I wasn’t trying to ignore her; I was stressed and trying to handle the situation.

I’m trying to figure out if this is mainly a communication issue on my end, if I need to be more intentional about following through exactly how she asks, or if there is something else going on.

For people who have been married or in long-term relationships: how do you handle situations where one person feels unheard, but the other person feels like they are genuinely trying to help?

The internet isn't what it used to be

It just isn't.

The internet as a whole has gotten so much less personal, and so much more commercialized.

It makes me feel grief; for the time when YouTube was actually just random people putting up videos, like my Minecraft PvP hacker stopper account. All of it is is clickbait now, and I think that sentiment is echoed through the rest of the space.

I remember staying up til 2 am building Minecraft worlds gave me that thrill, that feeling in my stomach of excitement and wonder. But I feel it just faded.

I bought this gaming laptop, but the last thing I played online was rocket league and CoD about 8 years ago.the interactions have changed so much, and I feel like that's emotionally whats pushed me away from video games so much

Possible scammer approached me

Hey everyone, so today I was approached by someone working at the grocery store, who was doing an instacart shopping order.

He asked if I know about "redplugging" with crypto. I tried to clarify if he meant "rugpull" but he said no, that it was a new technique to make $.

He said he would wire money to my account to buy a certain crypto, and then it would skyrocket and I could sell.

My friend believes it's a scam, but is addicted to the get rich quick mentality, so he wants to find out more about it.

My friend told me: This guy will wire the money to your account, then will instruct you to buy a specific shit coin that he is a whale in. Then he will steal your liquidity, and a few days later the bank will start calling asking for this money back since the wired money was fake.

I'm curious if anyone has ever dealt with this. My friend really wants me to stay away from it, but I really want to see if it's legitimate.

Thank you!
