Anyone did this? (Duck tape wallet)

I spent HOURS doing stuff like this. Or duck tape phone (with buttons obviously), yada yada. Back when there wasn’t shit to do

I also found out there were tons of tutorials during the early 2010s, even though it was a little too late for me. I just randomly had the idea one day. This feels nostalgic af

We were also kinda phone addicted right?

I personally got a smartphone around 2012 when I was 11, and my friend group did too. By that year, we also all had social media. By 2016 I was 15 and we did have that shit on class and sometimes would use it too much, seems tamed compared to now but teachers were complaining that we were boring

I think it was easier to put it down cause there wasn’t endless scrolling and short form content. But we were still kinda glued imo and spent a few hours a day by the time we were teens

But like with that video ab that teacher crying that went viral, ive seen tons of tiktoks that are all like: im born in 2005 and we BARELY used our phones, kids these days are so insane, we had the perfect mix of technology in like 2015-2019. Younger Gen Z is a different generation istg, yada yada. I think its kinda funny

Why are people actually having less sex?

I feel that a lot of things should point to the opposite.
Here's my thoughts:

-Dating apps. for dating they arguably suck, but they can be effective if two people use it for sex.

-Societal pressure. A lot of us felt peer pressured to start experimenting with the opposite sex even as teenagers.

-Everyone looks good. People put so much effort into their style and appearance. Make up has never been better, SO many guys workout and are buff, girls walk around almost naked. Etc etc etc

-Cultural factor. We're sex obsessed. Songs are explicit, you can be scrolling on TikTok and learn every detail about someone's sex life, you can learn about any type of kink you can think of, not many things are taboo.

Idk. What’s the explanation behind it? Is the pressure too high? Does everyone dislike everyone? I don’t get it. (Obviously no one is forced to do it, but I wonder why it’s so opposite to what we see online)

Were the 00s so fun because they were a blend of many sub-cultures?

The early 00s had good quality media/music. But a lot of people consider the 90s as the last decade that had a "distinct" feeling (grunge, skating and whatnot)

I remember the 00s as a time where Pop came back hard, but the alt scene was still huge from the 90s with its own twist. Same for hip-hop and rap. So no new genre was invented, even if it the old genres “matured”.

From the pictures, it’s still easily recognizable, but not the twist that the 90s were compared to the 80s. Actually a lot of the fashion remained the same imo.

I think this made for fun years full of color and variety. It was a unique time where the internet made everything from the past accesible.

So a lot of us got called (or felt) ‘book smart but dumb’?

During my teenage years I got this A LOT. I had an ease for schooling and learning, but then talking to me… I remember people looking confused, like I was saying the dumbest shit on earth

This used to be a common trope in 80s and 90s movies too, like a nerd who’s just an idiot and can’t pick up on basic things. I always felt that was me

Well turns out that’s just my autism and communication issues. I wanted to know if the same happened to you. It feels like relief, honestly

I hate how much "consumption" is tied to womanhood and girl culture

I genuinely believe that this is capitalism being smart. I don't remember consumption being this frenetic before TikTok appeared

It feels like women have been given this impossible expectations and insecurities, and we've gone the rout of buying our way out and elevating the ones who do. Idk, sucks ass.

Spending hoards of money trying to look like social media wants me to is not a bad thing if I do it cause I’m just a girl, right? it’s basically a feminist thing

Do you use placidus or WHS for synastry?

I’d love to know what you prefer, asking as someone who doesn’t have enough experience with WHS to answer this question

So, for synastry, if you’ve ever compared both, which one resonated better?

How to interpret when in an opposition, one planet hosts the other?

I hope I’m explaining myself well, I personally have this in my chart if not mistaken. My Aries Venus is opposing both my Libra Saturn and Libra Pluto.

Being that they are in the sign of Libra, ruled by Venus, does that mean that my Venus is hosting the other two? How do I interpret this?? Seems difficult enough by itself

Does it seem to you that majority of 2020 nostalgia is just stuff from the internet?

And I’d say even 2010 nostalgia. It seems like when the topic comes out irl older people are like yea in the 90s teenagers thought it was cool to sneak out at night and do neighborhood pranks and be edgy and stuff, or yea in the 00s we’d binge drink for days and had iPods

But from then on is like ‘the internet was so cool, tumblr was great, we didn’t have AI and old Minecraft was peak’ stuff like that.

Like today I saw a 2020 nostalgia video and it was just that hyper colorful filter. Do you think the same?

So much of Gen Z embraced dressing like/consuming stuff from a different decade

I feel like 1/3 looks like they’re from the 80s, like old mustache, old haircut, red shorts + sleeveless shirt

Then 1/3 looks like a 90s/early 00s emo skater

And 1/3 looks like you’d expect from someone in 2026

Why is that? I think it will be odd looking back at the pictures in 30 years or so. I know fashion is cyclical but I remember zero people from the 2010s that actually looked like they belong in a past decade. It seems super prominent now.

Were people meaner back the day or am I crazy?

I’m not a millennial, but older Gen Z.

I could be totally wrong ab this, maybe it’s only because I’m not longer interacting with teenagers or 20 year olds, but I remember people were just coming off the ‘90s edge’ and man, some people were brutal

I remember there was something almost intimidating about the way guys expressed themselves, specially on the internet. Girls also seemed meaner overall

By the time I was a teen it wasn’t the same anymore and I think that nowadays even less

For those of you who work with younger people, is that true?

Bonnie blue’s chart, wth?

(First off, her time of birth is not known, so ignore the houses and asc, they’re 99% all wrong)

Some of her aspects seem interesting, like her Taurus sun squaring Uranus in Aquarius. And her Mercury AKA her thought process being fixed and steady (Taurus + conj Saturn) but squaring Neptune’s fog

As far as sex and relationships, she is a Libra mars and cancer Venus? Even more so, her cancer Venus is ruling her Libra mars. That’s wild to me. I would’ve guessed a much more detached Venus, and a higher libido mars

She’s a Taurus stellium, so she might be overly concerned about money and luxury, that one tracks.

She does have a scorpio Lilith, but making zero aspects. Really interesting stuff. What do you make of it?

u/SimilarLunch8359 — 2 months ago

Why is Aquarius ruled by Saturn?

Based on your experience, do you believe Aquarius to be co-ruled, AKA related to Uranus? Or do you just stick with the traditional rulership (Saturn)?

I don’t find much common ground between Saturn and Aqua, since this sign is supposed to represent uniqueness and rebellion, basically the opposite of structure, laws, seriousness, etc. What do you think about it?

Has your mars been a malefic for you?

Of course it is a malefic no matter what, but still sometimes they don’t act like that, some people don’t have any major trouble with it. Like they have integrated their mars well and they can rely on it

So if yours has been a distinct problem in your chart, what makes you say so? what house and sign is it in? Are weakened mars easier on a person (libra, Taurus)?

How tf do I sort my love life out?

I have and Aries Venus, opposite both Saturn and Pluto in Libra.

How do I balance that out? What sort of behaviors and lessons can I expect from this? I’ve always viewed this planets as sort of opposites: restriction vs messiness.

Do I just give it up? I have many issues btw

We need to take porn away from the kids

I didn’t go into teaching but wanted to, so I jumped at the opportunity of subbing an extracurricular once a week when I got asked. I loved it, kids were awesome, all between 9 -12 years old

What caught my attention is how knowledgeable they are about sex that used to be “niche”. They made it very clear that this was stuff they’d watched with their own eyes instead of the classic gossiping and wondering of that age

For example (trigger: gross), >!they all make that choking sound, you know the one. They do the motion with an aggressive sound. Boys and girls, but boys a bit more often. They’re all daddy/choke me too. They are pornified!<

I don’t have a solution, i don’t know the psychological impact, I just wanted to rant. Parents are sweet and they’d never imagine, but something is so wrong, because it’s not normal to be so young and into aggressive stuff. Is your experience similar to mine? I finished after a few months and not going back, but some of you have taught for 15+ years.

Where the hell do I meet my husband?

People say look at your 7h ruler. So my 7h ruler is Saturn which in my case, it’s rx and sitting in my 3H. It’s also opposing my Aries Venus 9H

People always say that 9h Venus points to marry a foreigner or someone culturally different. So how do these two make sense together? I have virtually zero foreigners where I live. But by moving away, then that’s no longer a 3H meeting, you know what I mean?

Do I just give up lol?

I’ve never finished s7, am I missing out?

I have seen the show 3 times and I absolutely love it. It’s truly irreplaceable in my eyes

However I find season 6 to be… not great. I don’t like the endless episodes of Emma’s tremors, I don’t like the Regina split (her character being morally complicated is the best part of the show!!), I didn’t connect emotionally with the characters in Aladdin, I don’t know why

Then s7 rolls around and none of the characters are the same. We have new protagonists. By this time I always find something else to do and I drop the show. Should I try again? Should I push through for the ending?? What’s your take? :)

Were we raised by the internet?

I sure was, and im born in 2001.

Whenever I see someone say Gen Z got their childhood shaped by social media/the internet, people completely deny that and say that’s just Gen Alpha and we had the “last normal childhood”, makes me feel all left out lol,

I got a smartphone when I was 11 and had all my pictures on Facebook. And if I’m not wrong I’m even considered “old gen Z”. Like, someone born after me got iPads at that age

I feel most of us were kinda shaped by the internet, specially cause back then porn was like on YouTube. I wish it were different but I had friends in 7 grade that would send gore or porn.

Is this true for you??

How likely is it that we’ll fight to the death?

Basically, i think that cancer mars is the downfall of our composite chart.

Our mars is squaring Saturn. I’ve heard this is really difficult. And also , our Venus is in Aries so we have an Aries-cancer square by sign

I think the rest of the chart is good (hopefully?). But I don’t know much about this bc our mars are Aries and Libra natally, so we wouldn’t relate to a cancer mars and also both our natal mars’ square it?? Is this weird?

Any idea how this could play out, or anything else at all?:0 anything is appreciated!
