My aunt has been trying to let me meet her friend for a while now ( i have a close relationship with my aunt btw) but I kept refusing and telling them to go without me (as usual) because she was asking me to go to the park with her and her friend, but the weather is so hot and I don’t feel comfortable there and told her that if the weather becomes better i will 100% go with them or let it be in her house ( she always invites us both to her house and she likes it that way i am not forcing it on her) then i will come, she was still trying to convince me every time they go there but i still refused.

And the days i was able to come to her house her friend wasn’t, time passes and today she texts me “ hey, i arranged with my friend to come to my house on Wednesday and i told her that you would come”.

That was horrible because she didn’t ask me prior and thought that i had nothing to do anyway since it is a holiday.

little does she know there are very important football matches these upcoming days (semi finals and the final in the World Cup) and i honestly was embarrassed to tell her that i want to watch the game and that this is the reason why i am not coming especially since she already agreed with her friend, but that match is important so i did tell her that “Oh, i wish you would have told me before you talked to her because i do have an important match that i really want to watch and i have been waiting for this for 4 years”.

She clearly wasn’t happy with my response and was sad about it which makes me feel bad and like a narcissist, i kept telling her that i am sorry and that i would be completely free after the world cup ends, she said okay but she did tell me that i embarrassed her in front of her friend.

Aitah?
