ChatGPT weight loss ads making it through the “no weight loss ads” filter

I have my content preferences set not to show weight loss ads, but I regularly get ChatGPT ads about how it can help me with my diet. Which is oversold in and of itself. My wife’s a registered dietitian, and she’s had multiple patients come to her because they landed in the hospital by following ChatGPT diet advice.

I wish I could turn off AI ads in general, but at least make the AI ads fit my content preferences.

Edit: this may have been unclear, but I’m referring to Reddit and other platforms advertising ChatGPT to me by talking about how it can help with weight loss. I don’t use ChatGPT, I’m not getting these ads through them.

Platner dropped out

Finally. I remember when the Totenkopf tattoo news came out and every single liberal subreddit was telling me that there’s absolutely no way I knew what that symbol meant because nobody understands history. Might have been a sign…now none of them ever supported him.

[May 23, 2025] Trouble connecting?

I’m getting errors about trouble connecting and notifications that progress and streaks won’t be saved. Anyone else? It’s not that I’m not connected to the internet, obviously if I can post this. Wondering if they’re having issues.

Should I make sure that my 17 children are safely transported, or should I film a cringe reel?

And yes, the car is in motion as she’s looking away from the road an into the camera

I worked at sky ranch during college summers on the activities team. It is…not cheap. I was also a Boy Scout (now Scouting America), so my summer camps as a kid were maybe a few hundred bucks, with lots of scholarships available. This place is EXPENSIVE. When I worked there almost 15 years ago, it was over $1000 per week. Like, Dallas Cowboys players would fly their kids in on helicopters when I worked there. Kristen doesn’t work and her husband runs a car wash, but they seem to have endless money. Guess the car wash is lucrative and they’re getting into the “it’s easier for a camel to fit through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the kingdom of heaven” realm.

The final assembly was amazing. Taking all of the pieces we’d worked on and finally seeing them become a finished piece of furniture…it’s a high I’ll chase for awhile. And only $700 between wood and the class tuition!

Wood is African mahogany. Class is the furniture making 102 class at the Chicago School of Woodworking. So I had a LOT of handholding making this, but my first goal when I can use the open shop is to make a second one on my own.

Edit: y’all, I know “maked” isn’t a word. Not everything is that serious. I just had this comic in mind when I was making the post.
