I've been walking around with this thing on my hip for a week now, I love it.
I keep it in an OWB holster on my right hip. I wear an ACU top I was issued in the army that I've been sewing patches to for a few years now basically everywhere I go, and it covers the holster. Though we have constitutional open and concealed carry here in Texas I don't like the idea of open carry so much.
I've had it for 2 or 3 weeks, and I've put about 150 rounds through it so far, and on days I don't head to the range I drill drawing, disengaging the safety, and getting good sight picture as quickly and smoothly as possible.
I've always been a rifle guy (Zastava, my beloved), and I've always owned pistols, mostly 9mms and 357s, but something about the .45 1911 has been fun and engaging in a way other pistols havent been.
Just wanted to word vomit about my new toy, have fun everyone and happy shooting.
Todays Shipment
ASE was pretty near spot, as was the morgan.
Paid a small premium on the silver card, but I just recently learned about them and thought it was cool as hell so I was happy to pay it.
Nearly 100% premium on the building block, but again I thought it was neat.

Over the past few days I've submitted multiple posts to the r/redditrequest sub trying to take over a NSFW sub that appears to be entirely unmoderated. Every time my post is immediately removed with the note "Sorry, this post was removed by Reddit’s filters."
I have no indication as to why it's being removed, the 2 most recent posts had no text, and was just a link to the sub.
I've confirmed using the eligibility checklist on the sub that I am eligible, and I'm unsure of what's going wrong here.
Been stacking silver for a few months, just added my first (tiny) piece of gold to the stack
Bought my first ASE from mint builder
From order to my mailbox was about 5 or 6 days, got it at spot as a new customer. Was able to pay by zelle, and 3 or 4 hours later their site updated to let me know the payment was received and they where packing up my order.
Im not a brand new stacker, but my pile is still relatively small. Ive mostly been buying constitutional, but now I feel like i need a libertad and a maple
I finally got a red dot that isnt made of legos
After much bullying ive upgraded from r/worldsworstreddot to a holosun aro.
Between the sight, the 50 rounds i bought so I could zero it and then just start blastin, and the new case I had to buy since my old one was already snug, and was now to small im out about 250, which all told isnt terrible
Zastava m70
Zastava sight mount
Zastava mlok handguard
Mlok foregrip
Holosun aro core red dot
The mens room at my favorite bar
Imagine walking in, the first stall is in use, but you just have to pee. Someone is using the first urinal, so you go to the second.
Someone else comes running in 5 seconds later yelling "I'm about to shit myself"
Now your locked in there with him.
This bathroom is the creation of a madman. Some psychotic genius. A masochist of the highest order.
And thus begins my stockpile of ammunition
1000 rounds of 7.62x39.
Ignore the dirty ass rug.
New gun day
The first handgun I shot was my dad's Rossi .357. For the past several years ive had a M&P shield 9mm, but once i started getting my wife into shooting, she said she wanted her own, and so I just gave her the 9mm.
She said it didn't feel like it was really hers, and that I needed to get myself a new one. So here I am again 20 years later shooting 357 again.
My step dad put out a new video
and while I don't like most of the crackdowns, this one is a gem.
So for context, I'm a regular carrier on a pretty good route in my 5th year at the USPS. about 40% walking, 10% curbside, and 50% hopping and businesses. I feel like I could continue to do this route for the next 20 years until I'm 57 and can retire.
My station has 21 routes. One of those routes ostensibly has a carrier, but in my 5 years here I've never seen them. The explanation that I was given is that the regular is army reserves, and was activated to work full time on the reserve base before I ever showed up as a CCA 5 years ago. I know this doesn't make sense, but that's where we are.
The carrier that trained me (and in my opinion has the best route in the station) went on the injured list about a year ago. I've seen him once or twice since then and fully believe him.
Another carrier is on the injured list, and I know for a fact she's bullshitting. She's made jokes about how hurt she is, then she looks around to make sure management isn't looking, and dances in place.
we have 1 T6 and 1 CCA who just don't show up to work. the CCA will show up twice a week. the T6 is absent for weeks to months at a time, then she shows up for 1-5 days, and is gone again. at one point she was gone for 3 months before showing up for 4 days, and then she was gone for the next 6 weeks.
we have 4 T6 slots, 1 of them is vacant, and the other is absent.
of our 21 routes, today we split 7 of them. This is pretty typical.
a common saying in our office is "The overtime list doesn't mean shit, we're all going to get it."
We can't keep a manager for more than 3 months, and I'm pretty sure thats a big part of why we have so many absent carriers, nobody sticks around long enough to get rid of our absentees, and the next manager has to start over. I understand the process is the way it is to protect carriers, but at my station it's fucking over the ones that are showing up.
I'm tired boss.
Is there anything that we can do?
