I have a meeting with a seed-stage fund this afternoon, and I’m having last-minute panic over my target valuation cap and pitch strategy.

​Here’s my high-level setup without doxxing the product:

​Stage: Pre-revenue / institutional Pre-Seed / Seed

​Founder: Solo full-stack technical founder (built and shipped the entire stack myself)

​Product: Hybrid B2B/B2C web-based app

​Traction: Just crossed 12,000+ MAU organically (steady 20–25% MoM growth over the last 4 months, virtually zero paid spend)

​Monetization roadmap: B2B subscription tier maybe charge 20$ a month

​The Hypothetical Ask:

​Target Raise: $350k on a post-money SAFE

​Target Valuation Cap: $4M – $6M (translating to roughly 6%–9% dilution)

​Where my head is spinning:

​Knowing this fund's DNA..I'm wondering if asking for a $350k check at a $4M–$6M cap with zero realized revenue is going to trigger an immediate eye-roll, especially as a solo founder.

​Looking for two things from people who’ve pitched operator funds or closed rounds recently:

​The Numbers Gut Check: How hard will an operator fund push back on a $350k check at a $4M–$6M cap without monetization? If they push for standard 10%–15% ownership, is it better to take the dilution hit or hold firm on the cap?

​Pitch Tips & Meeting Strategy: For a metrics-first fund, what should I double down on during the call? Should I stress the organic growth velocity, my technical efficiency as a solo builder, or lay out the exact unit economics of turning on monetization next month? What pitfalls usually kill early-stage pitches with hands-on investors? What should I not mention? Any taboo things to avoid talking about with vcs?

1. I wish I would’ve realized earlier that you can just do things. The world opens up completely the second you stop waiting for permission.
2. Failed relationships sting, and hitting 30 without a partner wasn't the original script. But I'm putting myself out there, talking to someone right now, and keeping an open mind. Even if it doesn't lead to "the one," I’m going to keep trying.
3. I’ve been broke and I’ve had money, having money is more pleasant but it wont solve all your problems
4. How you treat people can have a direct affect on the amount of success you will have in life
5. Building cool things with great people is probably the best business model
6. Optimizing my life for health, relationships, and joy is important (I didn’t start doing this until around 28 though)
7. As you get older, you realize just how deeply important your parents are. Their support, sacrifices, and steady presence mean more to me now than ever, and I don't take that for granted.
8. Failed startups and businesses will humble you fast. You pour everything into an idea just to watch it fall flat, and it stings. But I'm right back at it, building the next one and I’m trying different things so I can make this one a success. Some people have golf or pickleball as a hobby, but mine is trying to create a successful business. I don't think I'm ever going to stop trying.

I've been building small games for a while and sharing them on Reddit, and one thing I keep running into is that getting attention for a game is harder than building it.

Reddit is great at giving games a short spotlight, but once that initial wave of upvotes passes, most projects quietly sink.. even if they’re genuinely fun. That drop-off is what pushed me to build https://www.megaviral.games.

Quick update: the site now has 110+ games live with games submitted by developers and links to devvit games, itch.io pages, and other playable web games. 

The site is intentionally minimal and focused on discovery. You’re shown one game at a time. You play it, and if you enjoy it, you like it. From there, the site recommends other games that players with similar tastes also liked. No feeds, no doom-scrolling, just games.

If you’re a developer, you can submit your game in two ways:

• Submit it directly here: https://www.megaviral.games/submit/

Submissions can link to Reddit posts, itch.io pages, or any playable web game.

I know itch.io has a randomizer, but this is trying to do something slightly different.. less random, more taste-based, and more focused on keeping good games discoverable after the initial hype fades.
