The worst crystal I've ever seen might just be hiding a gem......?

Took a chance on this auction for a Seamaster 600 (135.001?) and I pretty much bought it blind. Ended up costing $340 which is way too much for a gamble but I think there might be an absolute gem of a textured dial hiding under the worst condition crystal I have ever bought. What do you think I've got 🤷‍♂️

What do the pro's think, did I blow my cash or is there a chance of a stunner once the crystal is replaced?

I'll post the final photos with a new crystal in a few weeks when it arrives!! Fingers crossed for an absolute belter 🤞

Custom watch crystal help!!!!!

Does anyone here have a contact for someone who can custom make a plexiglass, sapphire etc. crystal for a very unusual watch?

I have a Russian cased 1950s Omega and the crystal popped out somewhere in my travels. Unfortunately as it is a custom made Russian case there is no chance of finding one off the shelf. It is 4.5mm thick, curved, and bevelled all around.

Help a desperate brother fix his new favourite watch 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

1939 Omega, Art Deco, Pontife hand, metallic copper, Roman, technical, 24h, tuxedo dial 🤣🤣🤣

Found this absolute beauty today and it seems to carry every catch phrase a collector looks for.

Its a 33mm seemingly unpolished stainless case with a 30T2 SC. I cannot find anothercone like it that isn't a repainted dial, even those don't seem to be around in this configuration?

Anyone have any info other than the date 🤷‍♂️

Don't worry, I have the original unsigned crown and stem.

1952 Omega Constellation, Ref. 2652, crosshair two-tone textured dial

Historically, there are only a tiny handful of known, documented examples of early 1950s reference 2652 Constellations featuring the flat caseback and this exact multi-textured sector dial. It was a low-volume, ultra-premium only layout during the launch window of the first ever Constellation series. It features an amazing crosshair, two tone cloud de paris / hobnail outer dial ring with vertically brushed inner dial (very rare in early Constellations) and the beautiful arrowhead indicies.

Adding to the value is the extremely rare "no medallion" flat caseback with the star stamp of the elite level case manufacturer "Geneste" who were only contracted to produce very low volume regional orders because they were an artesional casemaker, and not an industrial manufacturer. Omega contracted them due to thier top tier quality control for special production batches only.

If the watch has ever been polished it was extremely light because the case details are extremely sharp. It also comes with it original box in near-mint condition, and the dial features this elite multi-textured configuration in stunning condition.

The watch has been recently serviced and is running beautifuly at +12 seconds a day. The overall condition of this watch is a solid 9.5/10, only a few light scratches on the entire watch.

This watch should not be considered a standard vintage timekeeper; it is an stunning collector piece for serious horological collectors.

$3,500.00 includes delivery and tarrifs

Heuer 2311 "Fab Suisse" dial questions.

I heard these Fab Suisse dials are a bit of a rarity, does anyone know any more about them?

Its an 18k rose gold 2311 but the dial is a bit worse for wear which is interesting because the case and movement are beautiful.

Omega 23.4 SC blued sweep second hand (0.18mm)

Hello all,

I have been looking high and low for a sweep seconds hand to suit an Omega Cal. 23.4 SC. It needs to be 11mm (or longer to trim) preferably with a round bobble, or oval counterpoise but I cannot find anything suitable anywhere I look. Needs to fit 0.18mm pinion, or slightly smaller for me to open up.

I still struggle that this is 32 years old now. Shows me your 90's 🔥🔥

32 years old now, I can't beleive this DeVille Prestige Chronograph qualifies as vintage, damn I'm getting old 🤣

Show me your 90's fire people!

Any chance this is a real London obverse die?

Is there any chance this is real? Flash made the obverse look shiny but its an identical finish as the front.

If its fake I'd love to know the points showing why for the future.

Is this as rare as I think it is? 1944 Omega 2300/7 Copper and Black tuxedo - sector dial

Hello all,

I pulled this out of my storage recently, and to be honest I cannot remember when or where I got it.

Is this watch as rare and collectable as I think it is? It seems to be all original i.e. movement, case, crown, dial etc. and is in amazing, seemingly unpolished condition. I have been told a reference with the combination of movement and physical features, in its current condition, is a true "rarest of the rare" and a collector's grail watch for WW2 era military watches? I have also been advised it is a museum grade rarity and condition? Surely I didn't have something this rare sitting in a box forgotten.... There seems to be no existing versions of this watch in any open, public digital archives but is a legitimate Omega configuration with less than 200 models ever produced but not confirmed and no publicly confirmed surviving versions and may possibly now be a 1 of 1?

I have done some research and found the following:

Year: 1944

Reference: 2300/7

Movement: 23.4SC

Serial: 10495973

Case: 30mm stainless steel with rose gold bezel

Dial: Gold/copper alloy plated brass with black bullseye / sector two-tone dial

Buckle: 1950's / 1960's replacement Omega buckle?

Due to the features, the central seconds movement, two tone gold alloy plated dial and year of manafacture it seems to be a high end, final iteration of the "Medicus" family from Omega produced mostly for military medical personal and officially Omega's very first center seconds movement ever produced. This was allegedly also one of the last models to use the 23.4SC calibre before changing to the calibre 310 in the mid-late 1940's.

What the hell do I do with this this thing 🤣🤣

Armorman 4x4 anyone else get robbed by them?

Sold me a canopy with rooftop platform and everything was faulty, multiple leaks, light replaced twice because they aren't waterproof and locks failed 4 times. Check his response in the text below. Absolute scumbag thief

They tried to repair it so many times and they absolutely refuse any warranty returns

Buggers are making me take them to the ACCC and Consumer Affairs to get my money back.

Wrist check...

The brightest lume I have by a very long margin, can't show it in photos but it glows in full sunlight.

What is everyone wearing today?

u/SnooCompliments9653 — 2 months ago

I found these is an old box and I have no use for them. If anyone here is looking for any NOS hands for a vintage Seikosha or other model let me know. No use them rotting in a box here. Trades would be good, or free to anyone who wants to pay postage and needs something specific for a project, they are not for sale.

Most of them are blued but some look to be brass or similar metal.

There is also about 1000+ loose blued and brass hands if anyone is looking for something specific let me know and I'll see what's in there.

Hello all,

I was hoping someone might have one they want to part with. My dial is too far gone and I don't really want to get it repainted.

I was going to attempt cleaning but the paint is already peeling so its a lost cause.

If anyone has a good condition dial please reach out!

I have a few very nice condition Omega (and other) dials if a trade is a better option?

u/SnooCompliments9653 — 2 months ago

Allegedly an original dial but with my eyes these days I can't tell as I'm near blind 🤣 my eyes are getting worse every week unfortunately and I struggle with the fine details as my my digital magnifier broke and I'm waiting for a new one to arrive 🤣. I can see the G in Omega looks a bit off but it seems to have corrosion under it?

I know the case has been polished a bit but I still like it.

Traded a 70's DeVille today for these two 80 year old girls, both from the mid-1940's.

Both running Movado Cal. 45 and run perfectly +/- only a few seconds.

The salmon sector dial is absolute 🔥 in person but my photography is so bad it looks like a pile of horse shit 🤣🤣

Tiffany is 33mm and Cartier is 34mm
