The original movie still holds a huge place in my heart, as do the next three films. Fallen Kingdom onwards is a different matter.
I feel as if everything they set up has no pay off and the messages they try to say can be harmful at times. They preach coexistence but show how dangerous these lab grown invasive species are. They keep saying life finds a way, but the dinosaurs mostly die off due to outdated pseudoscience. They cannot commit to their themes properly and I think it’s harming the series in the long run. They never commit to ideas or plot points they set up.
One rumor I heard about the character was that Jax has been in the circus as a child. And without any proper parental figures in the circus, that’s why he deteriorated mentally. I honestly think could have a much more tragic and understandable backstory. Mentally trapped as a child and unable to grow up in any way
Why didn’t he transition? I mean, he’s free of his mother. He had help and seems better mentally based on what we’re shown. But wouldn’t having him transition be a cathartic pay off? Seeing him transition and have the life Jax always wanted? It’s weird, especially when you consider he’s the Gooseworx stand in. Why not finish that story?
My issue with Jax is by the time Pomni arrives in the circus, it’s already too late. Jax is already too far gone. We don’t get to see him have moments of clarity or slip even further. We don’t get to see his actions come back to bite him. Theres no moment where the whole cast call out an action going too far outside of a light reprimand. There needed to be moments where we could see snippets of the old him in order to give him some proper empathy. But the show never does that. I honestly don’t know if they wanted us to feel bad for Jax or not because everything he did even in his flashbacks were too heinous despite his last moments. It’s extremely muddled.
One thing that also bothered me is him being trans. Now I’m issuing he/him because that’s what they and goose use. My issue is that even if he did transition… he’d still be abusive. It wouldn’t get rid of the trauma or abuse he’s undergone. That and having Leroy transition would have been somewhat satisfying to show that his real life counterpart got their happy ending.
I’m planning on selling my Revice set. But my issue is the magnet in the Rex stamp and the one to erase the stamp in the belt are weak. Is there any way I can fix it?

This ain’t a smear against her actress or anything, she does good with the material she has. But man, I don’t like how similar she is to the 12th Doctor. It gets exhausting having to watch them both. What I love about previous companions is that they compliment him. Here, it feels kinda toxic Ngl. Just finished series 8 and kinda apprehensive about watching the ninth one at the moment.

Okay, so I found about Gideon. Now I get his actor requested he be killed off so fans would stop asking. Thats fine, I respect it given the subject matter of the show took a mental toll.
My issue is he was murdered. What I liked about his send off is that he had a chance to get away from all this and rediscover life isn’t always so bleak and heartless. And in a way, I wish he found that. I’d rather he die of natural causes and stead of something that comes off as almost spiteful.
