Down underwater in the middle of the ocean live the four Bupplogupplonauts. They are the bestest of friends.
"Hi! I'm Ziggy and I'm really excited to be here," Ziggy said excitedly.
"Hi! I'm Jerry and I'm really excited to be here," Jerry said excitedly.
"Hi! I'm Penny and I'm really excited to be here," Penny said excitedly.
"Hi! I'm Larry and I suffer from depression," Larry said excitedly.
"We're the four Bupplogupplonauts, and we're the bestest of bestest friends," Ziggy said. "I'm Ziggy, the main leader of the four. I get to be in charge and give everyone orders."
"Hi, I'm Penny, the only girl Bupplogupplonaut. I'm a very inventive person and I love being friends with everyone else," Penny added.
"Hi, I'm Jerry. I like to sit in the corner and do nothing," Jerry said.
There was a moment of awkward silence.
"Hi, I'm Larry. I like to sit in the corner with Jerry," Larry said.
"Speaking of corner, we're down to our last few turnip invitations for the turnip spa," Penny said.
"What does that have to do with the corner?" Ziggy asked.
"I don't know, but we're down to our last few invitations for the turnip spa," Penny said.
"You already said that," Ziggy said.
"I know, but we're down to our last few—"
"All right, all right, we already understand that," Ziggy said, cutting her off as he grabbed the invitations. "Jerry, Larry, you two need to stop sitting in the corner. Go out and hand out these invitations to the turnip spa," Ziggy ordered.
"Alright fine," Jerry and Larry said. They grabbed the turnip spa invitations and headed out of the Bupplogupplonaut ship.
As they were swimming along, they came across a turnip.
"Hi turnip," Jerry said.
"Hi," the turnip said.
"Would you like to go to the turnip spa?" Jerry asked.
"I'd love to," the turnip said. "Can I have one of those invitations?"
"Here's one of those invitations," Larry said.
"Thanks for one of those invitations," the turnip replied.
The turnip swam off towards the ship, extremely happy and ready for a turnip spa day.
As Jerry and Larry continued on to turnip after turnip, they ended up handing out all the rest of the turnip spa tickets.
"Let's go back to the ship," Larry said. "I'm ready to sit back in that corner."
"Me too," Jerry said.
They swam back to the ship, and just as they got there, they saw a huge line of turnips all waiting to go to the spa.
Larry and Jerry went back inside the ship and walked over to Ziggy and Penny.
"We've got a whole lineup of turnips ready to come into the turnip spa," Jerry said.
"Perfect, let them in and let them walk down the red carpet," Ziggy said.
Jerry and Larry let the turnips in, and they were super excited to walk down the red carpet to the turnip spa.
"I can't wait for the turnip spa," a turnip said.
"I can't wait for the turnip spa," another turnip said.
"I can't wait for the turnip spa," another different turnip said.
"I can't wait for the turnip spa," a fourth turnip said.
"Man, this spa looks really fun," a fifth turnip said.
"Man, this spa looks really fun," a sixth turnip said.
As Jerry and Larry watched, all the turnips walked down the red carpet, all the way over to the turnip spa.
When the last turnip got into the spa, they took down the "Turnip Spa" sign and put up the old "Kitchen" sign.
Inside the kitchen, the chef was ready to let all the turnips into their spa.
"Everyone, just up here. Come into the hot tub now. We're going to start with a relaxing bath," the chef said.
All the turnips climbed up the steps and over to the hot tub.
"Can I jump into the hot tub?" the first turnip said.
"Sure," the chef said. "Enjoy the jump!"
As the first turnip got ready, he bounced, flew, and landed right in the Turnip Spa hot tub.
"AHHH THIS IS TOO HOT TURN IT DOWN LET ME OUT LET ME OUT" the turnip said.
As the turnip continued its unintelligible screaming, the next turnip jumped into the hot tub.
"AHHH THIS IS TOO HOT LET ME OUT LET ME OUT" the turnip screamed.
As the second turnip screamed, the third turnip jumped into the hot tub.
A few minutes later, when all of the turnips were perfectly boiled, the chef took them out of the pot and chopped them all up for dinner.
"I'm hungry," Penny said. "I haven't eaten in two minutes."
"I know, it's been forever," Ziggy said. "What's taking the chef so long?"
As the chef chopped up the turnips, he realized he was missing the special ingredient. He left the kitchen and went over to where the Bupplogupplonauts were waiting.
"Hey, um, we're missing the special ingredient," the chef said.
"What special ingredient?" Ziggy asked.
"You know, the special ingredient," the chef said.
"No, I have absolutely no clue," Ziggy said. "You're the one who's supposed to be cooking them, you know the special ingredient."
"Oh, right," the chef said. "The special ingredient is... cheese."
"Cheese?" Ziggy said. "We never have cheese on our turnips."
"I know," the chef said, "but tonight, we're going to have cheese on our turnips."
"Why can't we have them normally?" Ziggy said.
"Because tonight, we're going to have cheese on our turnips," the chef insisted.
"Fine," Ziggy sighed. "Just send Larry and Jerry to go get some cheese or something. Larry! Jerry! Can you go get some cheese from the grocery store?"
Larry and Jerry got up and went outside. They headed down to the grocery store and picked out some cheese.
"That will be two dollars," the grocery store turnip said.
"Hey, how about instead of paying you two dollars, we let you go to the turnip spa for free?" Jerry suggested.
"Oh, really?" the turnip said. "That would be great!" He grabbed the turnip spa invitation ticket.
"Wait... why do you still have an invitation ticket?" Larry whispered to Jerry.
"Well, um, I kind of wanted to go to the spa," Jerry admitted.
"You know the spa means we kill the turnips, right?" Larry hissed.
"You do what at the spa?" the shop owner turnip gasped.
Realizing their secret was out, Larry and Jerry grabbed the store owner turnip, stuffed him into an airtight bag, and kidnapped him.
"Let me out! Let me out!" the turnip's muffled voice cried from inside the bag.
But nobody outside could hear him because the bag was completely airtight.
They swam back to the ship and by the time they arrived, they opened up the bag, fully expecting the turnip to be dead. Instead, the shop owner turnip was still very much alive. He burst out of the bag, scrambled up onto the table, and looked Ziggy dead in the eyes.
"You murderer! You're killing all our people!" he shrieked.
Without missing a beat, Ziggy whipped out his machine gun, and within a few seconds, the turnip was gone.
The chef carried the cheese and the mostly dead turnip over to the kitchen and placed them in the broth with the other turnips.
The Chef emerged from the kitchen, carrying a large, steaming pot. "Dinner is served! A welcome feast of delicious cheese-covered turnips."
"Yum, this is going to be so delicious," Ziggy said.
"Yum, this is going to be so delicious," Jerry said.
"Yum, this is going to be so delicious," Larry said.
Penny looked at the pot and frowned. "I can't eat this. I'm allergic to cheese."
The Chef stared at her. "Why didn't you say that before I covered the entire dinner in cheese?"
"I'm telling you now," Penny replied.
"The cheese is lactose-free," the Chef offered.
"It doesn't matter," Penny clarified. "I am literally allergic to cheese itself, not lactose."
"But why didn't you say so earlier?" the Chef asked again.
Suddenly, a little turnip who had snuck into the ship spoke up from nearby. "I'll have the cheese if she doesn't want any."
A few minutes later, Ziggy, Jerry, and Larry were digging into their cheese-covered turnips. The Chef had quickly prepared the little tiny turnip, and Penny was happily eating her non-cheese covered food—the cooked little turnip.
"Why don't we cover our turnips with cheese every time?" Ziggy asked between bites.
"Because we can only do it for the welcome feast," the Chef answered.
"And what makes this the welcome feast?" Ziggy asked.
The Chef looked away, evading the question. "I can't say."
"Why can't you say?" Ziggy pressed.
"Just look at how good the food is," the Chef deflected, pointing at their plates. "Isn't it great?"
"It really is," Ziggy agreed. Everyone else nodded in agreement as they enjoyed the meal, and Penny finished her non-cheese covered turnip.
After finishing every last bite, the four Bupplogupplonauts licked their plates clean and handed them over to the Chef, who carried the empty dishes back into the kitchen. With full stomachs, the group headed over to the hangout room to relax.
As they walked in, Ziggy noticed a mysterious little thing on the floor—a small, high-tech tracker. He leaned down and picked it up, staring at it for a moment as his eyes widened in shock.
"Someone is aboard," Ziggy said, his voice dropping to a serious whisper. "One of those intelligent turnips has managed to sneak on, and they're spying for Queen Turnip."
