Lockjaw recs?

I’ve been struggling with a closed lockjaw for 8 months. It’s hard because I understand every place will have mixed reviews, but I’m scared to risk making my jaw issue worse or spending thousands of dollars for no progress. any tmj specialist recommendations for the New York area?
I spoke to Mike Pilar, he came off a very informative, but somewhat rude.
Also considering:
- Gelp center
- Ny tmj and orafacial pain (Aimee werfel, Steven S. Syrop, Dr. Donald Tanenbaum, John E. Dinan)
- Westchester tmj and sleep (Wanda Mejia)
- TMJ & Orofacial Pain Specialist ( Dr. Nojan Bakhtiari)

Any success stories specifically with chronic lockjaw? Opinions? Advice?
I know Mike has reviews with successful lockjaw stories, but doesn’t have as much reviews as the other places and I also want to be comfortable with my doctor.

Should I (23F) take my dad’s dog with me when I move out when I already have a dog?

I’m (23F) I live in a very toxic and emotionally/ psychologically abusive household that really affects my mental health. I feel unsafe living here often. I have a dog that just turned five who’s completely mine. I have another dog now who’s about to turn five, who’s a pitbull. The pitbull is technically my dad’s but I am his main caretaker. I’m the only one that takes him for walks. Takes him to the vet and takes care of him at home when my dad‘s at work from 6 AM to 6 PM. I often claim the pitbull to be my dog because I love him and care for him. I always tell my dad that he’s gonna move out with me but now I’m wondering how realistic that is. My dog is already 75 pounds and my dad’s dog is 67 pounds he misbehaves a lot, digs through garbage and counter surfs. I’ve tried to train him countless times, but my family doesn’t respect my rules to make his training effective, so he doesn’t learn. He’s also reactive and barks and lunges at people he doesn’t know. Once he gets used to their presence and they just ignore him. He starts to warm up to them. I’m torn. My dad wants to move to another country in two years and from what I’ve researched pitbull‘s are banned in that country, but he denies that since that’s where he’s from. My dad says the pitbull will go with him, but I feel like he just jokes to get a rise out of me because he knows I love him. To begin though I did open up the idea to a second dog, but I wanted a 12 year-old shelter dog so that if a second dog was too much for me when they passed I wouldn’t get another one then my family was so against getting an “old ugly dog from the shelter”. So they decided to get a pitbull puppy so that they could take pictures with him and have a cute and tough dog just for the look. I told them I did not want a puppy if it wasn’t the shelter dog I wanted, and I warned them about how serious and hard it is to care for a dog. I was advising against it basically. When the day came, I didn’t even pick the dog everyone else in my house did. If anything I wanted a different puppy I saw there which I expressed that I thought the other puppy was cuter. The dog was supposed to be my dad‘s but also kind of my sister and my nephews. Maybe I should’ve let go of control but once the dog was home, I didn’t like the way my sister treated him. She did training methods. I didn’t agree with like hitting him When he would have accidents on the floor. He was only two months eventually I took him under my wing and just started caring for him on top of my own dog because my family wouldn’t stop punishing him or treat him what I felt like was the right way unless I took full responsibility, I posted another Reddit post though About how this dog misbehaves. And someone mentioned that our risk homelessness if I take my dad’s dog with me because two dogs is extremely hard to find housing for also my boyfriend has a cat. We plan to move in together. I’m not sure if I should leave my dog behind in this chaos of a house who doesn’t see him as true family and in an unsafe environment (my brother has hit the dogs before for sniffing him and there’s physical abuse that happens in my home and anger issues) when I’m away he spends most of the time in the cage. I’m very scared to leave him behind though because I feel like nobody cares for him as much as I do and my dog is very attached to him and vice versa and he’s attached to me when something crazy is happening in the household, He runs to me and sit by me because he knows I’ll protect him. I don’t want to take his sense of security away and for him to feel abandoned by not only me but my dog and to be alone in this mess of a house. Should I try to take him with me even though two large dogs and a cat will be very expensive and I didn’t want him in the first place, but I grew to love him like my own, and I worry about him a ton. Or should I talk to my dad about considering rehoming him even though it would absolutely break my heart and I will still be worried since I don’t know who will be willing to take him in because of his behavioral issues. I get nervous that someone else will end up, abusing him or neglecting him because he’s a pitbull that acts aggressive and is untrained. Do I really risk homelessness? I always felt like I would just figure it out and make a way. How realistic is this? Also taking care of two dogs can be pretty hectic sometimes or it just feels overwhelming at least in the state that that Pitbull is
in right now.

Should I be responsible for cleaning my dogs mess in the kitchen each time my family members leave the doggy gate open that I installed to keep them out?

My family makes me clean torn up trash in the kitchen all the time after they leave the doggy gates open. I worked hard installing the gates and have been suffering with tendinitis in my wrists and thumbs ever since from the installation process. My brother especially constantly leaves the gates open and so does his kids who are 5 and 6. I’m on the fence because everyone views the dogs as my dogs. The one that causes trouble is technically my dad’s because he chose him and paid for him even though I didn’t want him, and I wanted an older dog from a shelter. This sounds maybe harsh but I wanted a 12 year-old dog so that if a second dog was too much for me when they passed away, I wouldn’t get another one. But my dad decided along with many other people in the house to get a puppy that I did not want. I eventually took the puppy under my wing because I didn’t really like how my family went about taking care of him. I’ve been his sole caretaker since. And I do often claim him to be my dog now even though my dad still says he’s gonna take him when I move so yes, he’s kind of my dog that causes the trouble, even though in a way, he’s not. But I feel like it’s unfair to expect me to clean up after every mess that my family causes involving them. My siblings were just upset at me and talking junk amongst each other about me not wanting to clean the mess in the kitchen because one of my brother’s kids left the gate open while I was upstairs.
Should I just clean all of these messes each time or should I hold other people responsible for what they do? I feel like if I keep cleaning up after messes, they cause, they will never start closing the gate because they don’t care that it falls on me. I feel like if they need to start cleaning up the messes, they will start closing the gate, but my family is very toxic and emotionally abusive as well and I’m sort of the black sheep that they pick on collectively. Thoughts?
