What spot would you tell a friend not to skip? Oahu if you know it, anywhere if you don't. It doesn't have to be famous — just say what makes it worth the trip.
I am a big fan of collecting stamps in my physical national park passport. Below are my stamps from the western region. Only four national parks and monuments, and I am already out of pages.
So I made myself a version on my phone. It's just a passport with blank pages. When you get within range of a national park, the stamp shows up, and you can drag it onto the page and press it. It stays there.
What I actually want to know: is running out of room just me? And if you are a fan of collecting stamps like me, would you want a digital version for the flexibility, or is the real paper and stamp the whole point of collecting them?
This shot's from mid-November, so that's autumn — not what it looks like in July. What spot would you tell a friend not to skip? Kyoto if you know it, anywhere if you don't. Doesn't have to be famous — what makes it worth the trip?
I would recommend my friend to visit. What spot would you tell a friend not to skip in Oahu? Doesn't have to be famous, just worth the trip.
what's the one Oʻahu spot you'd tell a friend not to skip — and what's the one everyone recommends that you'd actually skip?
My favorite scene is the moment when Forrest and Jenny reunite at the Washington Monument Reflecting Pool. It’s such an emotional part of the movie.
What’s your favorite scene from Forrest Gump? Would you want to visit that place in real life?
I visited Kualoa Ranch during my recent vacation in Oahu. I booked the horseback tour since I love animals. I booked the earliest 8 AM tour to avoid the heat, but the sun was still burning. These horses are adorable. I bought a bag of apples from Foodland and thought there might be a chance they would let me give one to the horse as a tip, but not surprisingly, they didn't allow that. I had to eat these apples myself and had to throw two away before the security check at the airport.
I am a big fan of lighthouses. I finished Koko Head early in the morning. My legs were shaking, but I still committed to the lighthouse trails.
Not sure if the wind is that loud every day or just today. Also wondering where these chickens are from. The view is worth the drive IMO.
I used Vistaspots to collect Makapu'u Point Lighthouse. I definitely enjoyed the moment capturing the scene. I think it's a good place to keep the memory. However, I do feel that allowing me to add a text note or voice note would be even better. The memory I wanted to keep at this place is more than one image can hold.
First time visiting Oahu. Did the Diamond Head trail. It was so sunny and warm, but still lots of people.
I liked the tunnels. There are multiple tunnels, one at the entrance and the other two in the trail. All of them have a mysterious feeling.
At the top, the wind was so loud that blew some hats off.
If you don't enjoy hiking under the burning sun, to see the whole Diamond Head from a distance. If you live in Waikiki, Magic Island is a good place.
