Linda Vaello for ACC 2033

How is Linda Vaello for ACC 2033? I have her for ACC 2013 and I’m a bit hesitant to take her for ACC 2033. Wondering if I should take it at SAC and transfer

Low fuel efficiency on Honda TMX125 Alpha

I purchased a new Honda TMX125 Alpha a few months ago from a dealership. I only ride it around my small town, not a lot of stopping, and I only get 150-200km per tank.

This seems low. I don’t see any fuel leaks anywhere. What should I check?

JW neighbor wants to visit

I’m an exmormon, never been a JW

I have a neighbor who gave me their Facebook. Their page is plastered with JW content.

He asked me yesterday if we could schedule a time for him to visit my house

What are the chances he wants to visit to talk about being a JW? What can I expect, and what should I do?

What visa are you on and how did you acquire it?

I’ve met a few people on 47(a)(2), PEZA, etc. and it’s always interesting to hear how they ended up in the Philippines on those visas. What visa are you on and how did you get it?

Onsite IT service desk job in Pasay for Americans with permanent residency

I periodically get contacted about jobs in Metro Manila seeking foreigners. I normally don’t qualify because I live far away (Bataan) or don’t have the correct visa.

They contacted me this morning about an American IT service desk role, onsite in Pasay. When I asked about salary they said it’s negotiable. Schedule is shifting. You must be an American citizen with dual citizenship or a permanent residency visa and have prior IT experience.

I understand most people here are probably retired/established in their careers and working remote, and yes this role would undoubtedly pay less than it would in the US. But idk everyone’s situations, so if this interests you, feel free to PM me and I’ll put you in contact with them!

Philippine ID cards acquired during my year stay

Alien Certificate of Registration (ACR I-Card):
Official ID issued to foreign nationals who stay in the Philippines beyond a short period. Issued by Bureau of Immigration and serves as proof that you’re legally registered as a resident alien. Useful for banking, leases, etc.

Drivers License:
Issued by Land Transportation Office. It can be a bit of a hassle to get if you’re on a tourist visa, because they require a 120 day visa validity and as a tourist you can only extend up to 60 days at a time (currently). It can be done if you’re persistent enough haha

Philippine Postal ID (PhlPost):
For postal purposes, but also widely used as a secondary ID for banking, SIM registration, etc. Much easier to get than most government IDs on a tourist visa.

I turned down a job. Is anyone here looking for work in Taguig? Visa sponsorship available

The role is for an American marketing assistant, onsite in Taguig. Work hours are Monday-Saturday 9am-6pm. The advertised salary is 100k monthly.

I turned it down due to distance + work/life balance. I recently moved to Bataan and am not looking to move again so soon. They reached out to me today to see if I know anyone who would be interested in this role. They’re specifically looking for an American.

I asked about visa sponsorship and they clarified that they’re willing to help a tourist convert to a 9(g) working visa.

Let me know if you’re interested. I can get you an interview.

Places to volunteer in Hermosa?

I previously volunteered at Red Cross in Makati. I now live in Hermosa, and the closest Red Cross branch is Balanga.

Are there any organizations in Hermosa where I can volunteer? Thanks!

Bishopric member called me today to warn me about a member

Just posting this because it was so unexpected

I (21m) attended my new ward a couple weeks ago. Immediately, this guy who looked to be about 30 sat down next to me and tried to befriend me, set up a time for lunch, nothing inherently bad. He even brought me some halo halo

He was a bit awkward, but I wouldn’t say I necessarily saw any red flags. He kept talking about wanting to meet my girlfriend, and I’m really glad that did not happen.

This morning I received a message from a member of the bishopric along the lines of, “hey I know you’re busy, but please call me. It’s urgent.” I called him, and he informed me that the guy I’m talking about was confronted by a ward member today for trying to flirt with his underage daughter. He further said that he then listed off homes he was going to visit to “cool off,” one of those homes being mine.

I then received a message from the bishop about an hour later saying that they’re taking him to a clinic and that he’s not going to visit my house. From what was described (wanting to immediately fly across the country, believing he was a famous singer, …), it sounds like this is a mental health crisis and not his typical behavior. Still, it’s obviously concerning.

The accused is currently a ward clerk. I’m not sure what they plan on doing to prevent him from doing anything in the future.

New bishop wants to transfer records

I’ve been fully out for a couple years now. My family is aware of this and is fine with it

I’ve been in Asia for a year and occasionally attend my ward for community and whatnot. I just moved to a new ward, and the bishop asked for the name of my ward in the US. He then said that he would contact my bishop there to request my records, and I just kind of nodded

Since my records no longer exist, what’s the best way to handle this? The bishop who has my (resigned) records in the US is extremely laid back and didn’t give two shits about me resigning, so I’m thinking he’d probably be on board with stalling this a bit

What’s the best way of navigating this?

Trying to get comprehensive insurance for my motorcycle. The highest limits I could find were (in PHP):

Own damage / theft: 56,900.00
Third party property damage: 100,000.00
Third party bodily injury: 100,000.00
Personal accident: 50,000.00
Acts of nature: 56,900.00

The bike is only work 60k, so I’m not worried about the bike. What does worry me is that these limits for property damage and bodily injury seem extremely low. Surely an accident will easily exceed that. Can anyone offer any insight?

I tried extending for my 13th month online and it said:

“The total stay duration, including the intended extension period, exceeds the allowable limit. Please adjust your intended extension period accordingly.”

Do I need to go in person to extend, or did they change the rules on how long you can extend for?
