2nd edition Word Bearer Terminator

Painted this guy to practice nmm and went mad so wrote some lore to go with him!

Brother-Exalted Malach Voss of the XVII Legion is a fanatic, in a legion of fanatics.

He does not particularly care which false god is being worshipped. He simply believes all non-Chaos faiths are a personal insult directed at him specifically.

Imperial shrines, cathedrals, Aeldari spirit-temples, Ork idols, Tau motivational pamphlets, it makes no difference. If someone kneels before it, Voss will eventually arrive in a screaming wall of crimson ceramite to burn it with promethium, beat it flat, and bless the survivors to death with his sanctified power mace.

Other Word Bearers find him... difficult.

Dark Apostles have repeatedly attempted to explain that the Long War is about the glory of Chaos, not “winning arguments about religion,” but Voss remains unconvinced. During the Sack of Gathis VIII he reportedly abandoned a daemonic summoning because he spotted a Tech Priest carrying an instructional manual three kilometres away.

The Ultramarine helmet upon his trophy rack is said to belong to Captain Helion of the 3rd Company, who made the mistake of calling Voss “a bit intense” before being set on fire mid-sentence.

2nd edition chaos terminator

Allo’ Dominique Knox as they say! Still on this merry jaunt through 2nd edition Chaos terminators. Decided to try out the update nightlords guide on the @eavy-archive website while still having a retro vibe with the bright reds. His chainaxe is wrapped in orforenskin, a weird and wrinkly type of space skin I just made up. Painting the lightning is something I’ll need to get better when I do the NL Killteam.
Really enjoying the decision to paint different legions instead of just more black legion.

Only 3 more to go before there’s only 2 more 2nd ed 40k minis to go in this surprise marathon I’ve set myself. This whole metal terminator and chaos dreadnought thing has totally derailed all the plastic chaos marines I want to paint! Good thing they are such awesome nostalgic sculpts to me.

2nd edition Chaos Terminator, Word Bearer Brother-Exalted Malach Voss

Trying to get to grips with NMM. It’s hard. To keep my sanity I came up with some lore for this guy. In my head he’s like a character from BlackAdder

2nd edition Word Bearer Chaos Terminator, come meet Brother-Exalted Malach Voss

Still trying to get to grips with NMM. Learning is hard. To keep my spirits up, I like to come up with lore. I pictured this guy like an antagonist from a Black Adder episode.
