Looking for some place in LA to buy ravewear thrifted or new besides iheartraves or ravewonderland. Closer to East Hollywood is preferred but if you know of literally anywhere in LA please lmk
I've been wondering if there's actually an explanation for this.
My friend and I play a lot of word games together (Word Hunt, anagrams, Wordle, NYT Spelling Bee, etc.). The weird thing is that I'm terrible at Word Hunt. Like, not just a little worse-I genuinely cannot keep up with him, and no matter how much I play, it feels like my brain just doesn't "see" the words.
But in games like Anagrams, I'm way better than he is. I'm also much better at Spelling Bee and generally do well with other word games.
Does this say anything about how our brains process language or recognize patterns? Why would someone be really strong at one type of word game but struggle so much with another that's also based on words?
Looking for songs that have the same beautiful vibe as The Downtown Lights
For my birthday I want to rent out a theater to play guardians of the galaxy or la la land. Is there a theater in La that does this? Has anyone personally done this and had a good experience somewhere?
Fashion trends seem to cycle faster than ever. A few months ago, 2014 indie sleaze was having a moment, and now the popular aesthetic seems to be shifting toward a colorful, teal-and-coral 2016 vibe.
From a sociological perspective, what drives these rapid trend cycles? Is it social media algorithms, nostalgia, generational identity, consumer culture, or something else?
And based on those factors, what do you think the next major fashion trend or aesthetic will be?
