Very rectangular, metal frames?

I look best in full rim rectangular frames, but I want to find metal ones, not plastic. And all the metal ones I find have rounded corners (or kind of swoop up almost like a cat eye frame). I don’t want something so pointy it’s gonna poke me but it seems like there should be something that’s a little bit more on the truly rectangular side. I’ve looked at all the main eyeglass websites in the United States, where I’m based. Also I do wear progressive lenses so that is a consideration. I did look at some from Blackfin, but they still were pretty rounded versus rectangular. Any suggestions appreciated! And I don’t think it matters except for maybe sizing, but I am female.

Scrabble club/meetups?

Is there a Scrabble club in the MetroWest area? Or Bananagrams? I see that there’s one listed for Lexington but I was hoping for something more like Framingham/Southboro/Marlboro/Westboro. And as long as I’m hoping here, ideally it would meet either weekday evenings or weekend afternoons. Thanks.

What to wear with this jacket?

Just bought this Desigual jacket. I love it and it fits great. But I honestly can’t decide what to wear with it. I was thinking dark washed jeans, but every shirt I try with it doesn’t work. A cream shell looks boring, a white knit tank looks boring, tried a burgundy blouse with a high neck, just looked too “old”.
I could live with a black sleeveless turtleneck underneath, but then I just feel like the whole outfit is so dark. Any ideas? I’m terrible at styling with jackets…..

Best salon for curly pixie cuts?

Seeking a stylist who has a proven track record with curly pixie cuts. Last place I tried clearly didn’t know how to cut curly hair. And the place I tried before then gave me a cut that looked more like a bob even though I literally had a picture of a curly pixie printed out so they could not mistake it. 🙄

How do you deal with group situations where you stick out like a sore thumb?

I swear I feel like I’m walking fast when I’m with a group of people but inevitably I end up lagging. I’m reasonably fit. I’m not short so it’s not a gate length issue. And if I go out to eat with a group of people, I’m not talking that much but I’m always the last to finish and I often will leave food on my plate that I want to eat because I feel guilty making other people wait. I’ve had these issues for as long as I can remember, but it’s really bothering me because I’m on a vacation right now with a group tour and I’m traveling as a solo traveler. And I am consistently the last to finish a hike (even though I’m not stopping as much as I’d like to to examine interesting flowers or to take pictures ) and I’m feeling guilty about it, but I’m also perplexed. Are slow walking even if you feel like you’re walking fast and slow eating even if you feel like you’re eating at a normal pace some weird side effect of time blindness? Am I maybe pausing more than I think I am? It’s really stressing me out and I’m not the oldest person in this group either. For context, 62F, empty nester, adhd diagnosed (years ago).

Rehoming an unusual pet

I have an unusual pet and unfortunately, and for reasons that I cannot control, I am no longer able to take care of her. This is a pet that I’ve been fostering for a family member who didn’t have enough space for her. The pet is an 85 pound Sulcata tortoise, so she needs a lot of space. She also needs to be indoors in the winter when it falls below 65°. The challenge is that some people want her because they want to breed her, but I do not want her used for breeding. The tortoise pet industry is pretty vile; most of the baby tortoises end up dying due to lack of proper care. I am seeking suggestions for an organization or person who might be able to help me find an appropriate new home for this magnificent pet. Ideally in the greater Richmond area. Any suggestions very appreciated.
