My company completely eliminated the Night/Swing shift division and removed their 25% pay boost differential

Random work meeting a few days ago

It was announced randomly my company suddenly purged everyone on the night/swing shift division (Biotech).

People who work in the night have a 25% pay boost differential

Now they are only provided an option to convert to day/afternoon shift for work schedules without the night pay boost? If not they can just “quit”

It’s sort of chaotic, people don’t know what to do. Whether it’s the super commuters, parents, 2nd job holders, and well, students

I just would like to ask what would people do if they were in a similar situation?

( I personally converted from Night shift to day shift for health reasons )
