First revolver a S&W 27
Got a lucky serial number too with DZF4444. Shame the frame was wasted on a 357. 🙄
Got a Hogue short release, probably should have got the long one and their grip. The grip grooves on the right side I didn't like the feel of in the palm, so I did a bit of sanding. Feels much better.
I'm now thinking about going off and getting laser engraving done. Although its one of those pull it from my cold dead hands items, I hear getting a repdigit is somewhat sought after and valuable? Would more heavy modifying it damage it's value, or just make it more "neat" in the long run?
Henry Supreme in 5.56 with a Nuka twist.
I feel a little bad covering up the artwork on the stock with the leather, but before the cerakote was an idea I had it on there with the caps nailed in.
Loose guidelines basing it off the lever action from Fallout 76.
New 1911 will flip to halfcocked randomly when safety is disengaged.
New to the 1911. Haven't even been able to shoot it yet, and I've had it less than a week. Nothing special, just a Springfield Garrison.
Paying around with it as one does getting used how far the slide need to be pulled back and to the draw and sights. Like a quick draw to a poster on the wall, or bobble head on the shelf.
So pull side back, flick the safety on. Do some draws. Pull the trigger with the safety on. Theres movement and its kind of bouncing around between a soft grip and a firm grip. So the trigger is getting pulled and the grip safety is also getting a bitter jiggle. Sometime when I flip the safety off, the hammer will drop to halfcocked. That is extremely worrisome... to say the least.
I have never torn down a 1911, but obviously I'll have to take a look at it. What would be causing this issue?
Unrelated the thing I've done is added the rosewood grip and a little dremel work for the thumb access to the mag release. Feels great if you have big hands if anyone likes the look of them.
Supreme 300blk with the new Woox grey laminate.
Feels lighter, looks great, but I its a bummer losing the sling mounted bipod. Other than that, I like it.
Installed the TurboXS cat back
It sounds good paired with the AEM cold air and I enjoy the look of it. At some point I'll do Racing Beat headers and cats.

Come to find out 1 of the 4 hangers at the mufflers and one hanger at the cat/mid pipe wasn't attached. Adding the hanger fixed a little tapping sound. Good productive day off.
Woox released the set for the Supremes!
I just ordered the grey one for the 300 blk. 😁
What if no BN merger?
Joys of Athearn and their Fantasy/Legends Liveries because one can make views we will never get to see.
This is my 8. There are many like it, but this one is mine.
When I got the car it didn't have the front airdam or radiator splash guard. Its my first time doing skirting and body mods like this. Not bad for a first time and it only took 9 hours. 😅
Probably going to do Racing Beat springs for that .5" drop, headers and cat with an HKS for the cat back. Then the car will be "done" right? It'll be done... I hope.
Anyone ever put the 8's six speed into a SA?
So I have an old school 13b from a truck and I'm planning to put a 7" Camden Supercharger on to it. The engine was in my FB, but the FB transmission is a little longer. I know the 8's is a little shorter, so I was hopeful I could keep the more stock SA shifter location with using it.
Like most, I have RX-7 roots and I think we have all had a Racing Beat exhaust, or some component of it from Racing Beat. They have been the golden standard for RX bolt ons my whole life.
Car is all stock currently except for a AEM cold air. I'll say it certainly does make a good sound. Now that the intake is taken care of I think next steps a little exhaust attention. Take care of the in and outs.
The car is not intended to be anything crazy, just sound and drive good. I'm working... still working on a Turbo FB so if I want loud and to make a ball of fire exit it'll be that.
So is a Racing Beat REV8 cat back worth it, or is there something better? Mind you, this is DD and trying to not be obnoxious. Videos online don't do sound justice, and its almost like they are trying to sell you something, or validate the purchase. I thought I might as well ask you real world users with no filter or f$%^s to give.
I hear headers don't really add much for my kind of goals and the stock one will be fine. That kind of goes against tradition because it seems like every NA RX-7 has at least a RB headers on it. I know I don't want the replacement CAT race pipe because that will just kick the engine light on and again probably wouldn't do much but add volume... of which I hear the REV8 cat back doesn't add much of by itself, but I would love some good overrun burbles.
Also the Racing Beat suspension kit with the front, rear sway bars with springs that'll drop it .5". That doesn't sound like much, but I think it'll still look good... but is it worth it for $850? Its currently sold out, and I miss the sale at $763.
I have some free time, money and I just want a easy quick bolt on build. Do any of you have experiences with, regrets with, wish you had got something else and what would you do with more knowledge seeing as I've only been in an 8 for a less than a year.
Also do Miata people wave at you too? They never did that in the 7s, but I've gotten a bunch in the 8.
Thanks for take the time on this ramble and any input you have.
